i've made a password diffrent from my apple ID password to delete app store and other locked apps and now i forgott it. Can i reset the password?

Not without remembering it, that is what makes a password secure.
If you have Find My turned on in Settings > iCloud you can use your Apple ID and password to turn that off, and then you can restore to factory condition, that is erase all content and settings, to get rid of the other password.  There is no way to change it without having it.

This App Cannot be Deleted... as is the same for any pre-installed iOS App... It's probably just Hiding from you...
Check in All Folders and on All Pages/Screens...
    Check in Restrictions...

  • Mistakenly deleted App Store. Can you help me to recover it?

Mistakenly deleted App Store. Can you help me to recover it? It comes preloaded with OS only. Is there any installation file so that it can be again installed.

Did you just delete AppSore off the Dock?
Because it's laying in your Applications folder to be dragged back to the Dock.
Perform a #8 Reinstall Just OS X here, it replaces OS X and bundled Apple programs leaving files and third party programs alone.
Step by Step to fix your Mac
Make sure you Software Update immediatly to 10.6.8, that's what puts AppSore back on.

  • App store problem after updating OS to Mavericks.  Ended up deleting app store.  How do I get it back?

I upgraded to Mavericks.  When I tried to update my apps in the appstore, I was getting prompted to enter in a password for someone else's Apple Id.  I have no idea who this person is and I could not change the ID.  I was logged into the App Store under MY id but for whatever reason when i chose to update an app, I was prompted with this person's ID. I researched this and someone in a forum suggested deleting the app and reinstalling it.  I have app zapper so I zapped the app and I no longer have an app store..  I also have no way of getting the app store back.  Apparently, it's part of Mavericks.  I cannot even reinstall Mavericks because Mavericks is only attainable through the App store.
    I have a big problem don't I?
I recovered the files that app zapper "zapped" from my trash.  They are as follows:
One "app store" folder that contains a file called: updatejournal.plist
One "AppStore" folder that contains a file called: manifest.plist
    And a file called com.apple.appstore.plist
How can I get app store working again?
And then there's the issue with this person's apple ID.  How do I get the app store to purge this person's login?  My machine is an Apple Refurbished so perhaps the person who is attached to the store is the person who bought the machine new?  I have no clue.  I do think it's a huge security flaw on Apple's part to expose a stranger's login information
    Help is immensely appreciated.
    Thanks.

There are a few things you need to do.
    A.
Remove "App Zapper" according to the developer's instructions. Never install it, or anything like it, again.
    B.
Deleting system components is never the solution to any problem.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main screen.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.
    C.
You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
    1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
    File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
    Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
    Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
    Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
    4. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

  • Deleted app store from computer. how do i get it back.

For some idiodic reason, I decided to delete the App Store from my mac. However, it didn't fully delete and is now corrupted. I cannot download Lion unless I have the App Store back. I tried to download the update combo, but I am running 10.6.8 and not 10.6.7 which is needed to download it. Any other suggestions? I could really use the help. Thank you!

I join and celebrate this post.  I want to buy Lion OS and i can't since i don't have AppStore runnig either due to the same reason... and I have 10.6.8 also.... HELP US please, Apple Support guys

  • Looking to delete App Store

Looking for answers from someone OTHER THAN PETE, (who seems to have no life other than to troll the forums) to either help from a technical part of apple to disable certain updates that I cannot seem to turn off or a developer (or coding) for deleting useless *Required* applications.
Application Store: Briging useless applications into my world that I don't need, don't want, and won't get. Good thing it doesn't update.
Imovie: A such childish application, make my own movie. Not needed. Why must I update? Hide update is missing.
Iweb: Don't even know what it does. I've lived without it for this long, I think I can continue living without it. Hide update is missing.
Remote desktop: Work from home or, if work is boring you, play World of Warcraft from work. Can't understand why others don't see the malicious intent of software like that. Access your home computer from work? Do you really want that open to co-workers what you do in your spare time? Hide update is missing.
Thuderbolt Monitor: What exactly is a Thunderbolt Monitor? Useless to me. Hide update still missing.
Safari: Big news on safari! Y2K about to affect the world! Wait, what year is it? Slower than Netscape. Hide update never found.
If such useless applications are required for me to continually update on a daily basis, but so important that I cannot delete them, is there a way to strip all updates to these programs and replace them with the factory installed versions?
One last thing, I'm pretty sure I'm probably royally screwing up my mac by force-closing the application store as many times as I have, but I have gone so long without an application store that I shouldn't be forced into using products I don't actually need.
Also, personally, I think I'm freaking out all the people who need to say "Application Store" by using the word "Application" but that's just me.
    cheers

This forum is for questions about the iTunes Store. Since your question seems to have nothing to do with the iTunes Store but rather is about OS X 10.9 and the Mac App Store, I'd suggest you ask for assitance in the OS X 10.9 Mavericks forum.
None of the applications you mention require updating on a daily basis, by the way. If you are updating but then being presented with the update yet again, that's something wrong with your system and not a normal occurence. Someone in the OS X 10.9 forum should be able to help you sort that out.
    Regards.

    Hey there uquackmeup,
It sounds like you would like to cancel a paused download in the Mac App store. Check out this info from the article named:
Mac App Store: Buy, download, and install apps

To cancel a download in App Store, in the toolbar, click Purchases, find the app in the list, hold down the Option key, and then click Cancel.

  • How can i delete app store update?

In my app store appears a red ballon thats tell me that i have to update an app i never download, its twitter but i have to update it with an unkown account :S and i dont like to see that ballon in the app store logo, how can i delete it if the account isnt mine? sorry for my english, im from Mexico..hope u understand what i try to explain, thanks

It's a bit complicated but here's what you can do:
How Restore Deleted or Missing OS X Components
A few of the basic OS X installed applications can be restored from the Optional Installs installer located in the Optional installs folder on your Installer DVD.  However, if what you need is not there then follow the instructions below.
How to Use Pacifist to Restore Deleted or Missing OS X Components
Insert the OS X Installer DVD into the optical drive.  Use a simple utility like TinkerTool to toggle invisibility so you can see invisible items.  Alternatively, open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and at the prompt enter the following:
    defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles Yes
    Press RETURN.
To turn off the display of invisible files repeat the above command substituting No for Yes.
The install packages are located in the /System/Installation/ folder on the DVD.
Download the shareware utility Pacifist. Use it to extract a fresh copy of the missing item(s) from the file archives on your OS X installation DVD. The file archives are in the /System/Installations/ folder (use Go to Folder option in the Go menu of the Finder.)
Here are Four Basic ways to use Pacifist (courtesy of George Orville.)
Drag a .pkg icon onto the Pacifist window .....proceed to step 7.
Click on “Open Package ....” and navigate to package desired and click “Open” in the open/save window.....proceed to step 7.
Insert Mac OS X installer CD and when it mounts, navigate to .... Menu->Go->Go to Folder. In the path field enter or paste ....
/Volumes/disc name/System/Installation/Packages (where disc name is the name of the CD/DVD that you inserted.)
Click on the  "Go" button ..... • Drag a .pkg to Pacifist..... proceed to step 7.
The package you'll need will have to be discovered by trial and error, but for most applications you should start with the Essentials.pkg and/or Additional Essentials.pkg.
    D. Insert your Mac OS X install disk 1 .... and open Pacifist.
    1.          In Pacifist, select "Open Mac OS X Install Packages" ... dialog may appear asking for disk 2, then disk 3 and finally disk 1 again.... {if DVD is not used)...If “Stop Loading” is selected...the procedure will stop!!!
2a. When loading is complete, a new window appears, click the triangle to display contents of each package...Select item and proceed to step 7.
2b.          or click the “Find” icon in the Pacifist window and type the name of the software you need.
    3.          In the list that comes back, click the top most entry for the item that you want. ..... that is the one for the English language.
    4.          On the top of the Pacifist window, click “verify” .... you will probably be prompted for your password.
    5.          Enter checks for.... “verify permissions” and “verify file contents.” and click “verify” ....enter password when prompted.... you will get back output which may look like this:
20 files were scanned. 20 of 20 files were present on the hard disk. 0 of 20 files had file permissions that did not match those specified in the package. 0 of 20 files had checksums that did not match those specified in the package.
    6.          Click “close”. Go to step 7.
    Extract or Install........
    7.          In the Toolbar (upper left), you now have the option to extract or install. Click a file in the lower list and those two icons will be enabled.
    8.          If “Extract to...” is selected.... navigate to the location where the file will be placed, select “choose”, select “extract” in new dialog that appears, authenicate , if prompted, click “OK”.
    9.          In the next dialog, click “Extract”.
    10.          If “Install” is selected... dialog will appear with the location/path of the installed software. Click “Install”
    11.          Type in your password, click “OK”
Pacifist will begin to extract files.
    12.          In steps 8/10ß.... you also have the choice to “cancel”
Notes:          Pacifist may find that a file it is installing already exists on the hard disk. Pacifist will present you with an alert panel....
    Stop
    Leave original alone
    Update .....
    Default selection
Replace .... (Replace option should only be used on full install packages)

  • Delete Apps store/updates/purchase on iphone

    Hello,
I have several apps on my iphone within: Apps store/updates/purchase.
There are some apps I want to delete (not hide).
    Please help!
    Greetings
    Mies

After updated apps, apps would  disappear on iOS 6 but not iOS 7 apps will not disappear as long lists of apps where are completed and won't disappears.. I read article and explained how to get rid of the updated apps that it said:
"This is by design now due to the Automatic Updates Feature.  The only way I have found to clear them is to go into Setting> General> Date & Time and turn off the automatic setting, set your month to several days/month in the future..
Then go back to the App Store and the updates should clear, Then go back to your Date & Time setting and change it back to automatic" by KalebsDad78.
I did try this but still there and won't clear..  I can't figure it out how to get rid..
