Deleted Apple Application Support program
I recently deleted my program for "apple application support". When trying to use itunes now,the window for error #2 tells me to delete itunes and reinstall. Will i loose all of my music on this PC? Have same music on an ipod. Thanks anyone.
Everytime i try i get this messeage, Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run
With that particular key, I think we'd better try a malware scan.
Try downloading and installing the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware. Update your MBAM definitions and then run a full scan of the PC. (Takes about 2 hours on my Lenovo.)

Itunes needs apple application support program
Q ,there was trouble with my computer last night and a few programs were deleted. After a scan was completed my itunes will not work. It says that I need to reinstall apple application support program. I have tried to repair the program and I downloaded itunes again, but to no avail. itunes is in my list of programs. What am i supposed to do now?
Doublecheck to see if there are any leftover QuickTime program files and/or folders on the PC.
On a 64-bit system open the following directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\
If you see a QuickTime folder in there, delete it.
Now open the following directory:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
If you see a QuickTime file and or a QuickTimeVR file, delete those two files.
If Windows won't let you delete either folder or files, let us know what the error message says.
If those files and/or folders were present, and you successfully deleted them, try another iTunes install. Does it go through any better this time? -
Can't run iTunes, Apple Application Support program missing.
Can't run iTunes, Apple Application Support program missing. It's a brand new computer, never had iTunes installed. I've attempted 16 installs, each time uninstalling the previous install and verifying no Apple software installed before trying again; I've also been using different browsers, still no luck. Windows 7, 64 bit.
Try downloading 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and unpack the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe file into its components then try installing them individually in alphabetical order (don't try to install SetupAdmin.exe or iCloud.msi). AAS might not install right now, but you may get a more useful error message as to why not, or it might install once the other components have been installed.

After following the instructions to completly uninstall iTunes and related components, I restarted computerand reinstalled iTunes, Then I received the error message that iTunes couldn't load because program file Apple Application Support (deleted as per instructions) wasn't present. What now?
With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

I had very little memory on my C drive and had to remove some programs to free some up but by accident i removed Apple applications support. How do i put it back on or do i have to remove and re-install the whole itunes program to get it to work again?
We can get it back in without doing an uninstall/reinstall, if you like.

PLEASE HELP - I have stupidly deleted the apple application support off my computer, and I am unable to launch my Itunes..It advises me to download itunes again, however i am TERRIFIED to do so because I have over 5,000 songs in my Library and no doubt my entire collection will inevitably be wiped.PLEASE HELP..I am almost in tears. I have attempted searching google for "Apple Application" Support downloads however it directs me to the apple website, and to no avail I cannot find anything to aid me...any responses would be greatly appreciated..!!!!!!!!!!
Reinstall iTunes from Apple's website. Reinstalling iTunes does not wipe your library, but you should have a backup regardless.

My huband is going to be so ****** if I have to uninstall and reinstall itunes. PLEASE HELP ME! If he loses his playlists or any other information it will be devastating... he has a radio show!
When I try to open itunes it says that it won't open woithout Apple Application Support and says I need to uninstall and reinstall itunes. 2 things I'm afraid will happen.

What is this Apple Application Support program?
Alright, I'm running iTunes on the following systems:
Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit
Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit
Windows 7 32-bit RC
Linux Sabayon (after some mods to the iTunes code; yes it's possible to run iTunes on Linux)
I just upgraded to this new version of iTunes, and as I was uninstalling the unnecessary crap that comes with iTunes (Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Suppport, etc.), I ran across a new entry that said "Apple Application Support". What is this? I searched Apple's website, and nothing of great significance comes up.Hey you're lucky you got it. My fresh install of iTunes 9 installed without it and now it won't run.

Okay so you are trying to install iTunes on your PC, but it wont install? I had a similar problem with one of my computers the other day. Try Updating windows. As soon as I updated windows it worked. So try that.

I tried reinstalling and it still will not work.
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP,head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

Can't install iTunes 10 properly. Need Apple Application Support 1.3.2.
I've downloaded iTunes 10 THREE TIMES NOW and STILL get an error message telling me I need Apple Application Support 1.3.2. I seem to have version 1.3.0.
I'm on limited (and fairly slow bandwidth and it's expensive to go over my limit, especially if it's only going to fail again... I did select download only so I could install myself behind my firewall and yet still the installation has failed.
How do I get the Apple Application Support 1.3.2. file only without having to download 100MB's a fourth time please?
Can anybody point me to just that file alone online please?
ThanksSame problem here. after downloading new itunes, would not install. went to apple instructions and uninstalled all applicable files, but there was not a Apple Application Support file to uninstall. Downloaded itunes again, all went well, showed copying, installing, etc. gave me the screen to open itunes, but then get the message "Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run Itunes. Please uninstall itunes, then install itunes again." Then "Error 2 (Windows error 2)

Under normal circumstances, an uninstall/reinstall doesn't touch your content. (That being said, it's still always a good idea to maintain a current backup at all times in case of disasters.)

After I updated my Itunes I always get this Error:

- Re-Installing Itunes
- Uninstalling every software from Apple deleting every registery entry and then re-installing it. (itunes, quicktime, bonjour etc.)
This error is really a pain in the ***. I run Windows 8.1. When I go back to a restore point then Itunes works again. I searched but didn't find a solution that worked for me. Please help me.
