Deleted apps appear inside update

Upon iOS 4.3.3 , once deleted apps continuous to appear inside the "purchased" section inside Updates, those deleted apps are coming from my iPhone 4 as well as other devices that utilizing the same iTunes. How to get rid of them permanently?

Deleting them doesn't mean you didn't purchase them. Look on the bright side - if you change your mind, you can get them back.

I just don't know why I'm so afraid of that, but I believe that those people similar to you wouldn't fear about that. I suppose I shouldn't talk.

Deleted app appears in updates page from App Store

I had installed an app from store named Who is the killer. I deleted the app and now shows as an update and i can't get rid of it. I do not have any back up disks attached. How can i remove this from app store's update section?

If i hide this into purchases, it still shows in updates an i have 1 badge in the app store. I followed a few stepes as searching with easy find files which i think were related, reindexed spotlight and i still see the update available for the deleted app. If i click update, it just reinstalls it and so on.

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

Inapropriate apps appear after updates are done

I need help! I was looking through my son's (11) iPod touch recently and there were apps on there that were not purchased. My kids don't know the iTunes password, so all purchases have to be approved by me or my husband. These apps seemed to appear after an update was done. They are NOT appropriate for an 11 year old. I can't simply delete them because when you press and hold the icon, no 'X' appears for these apps. I'm very concerned that some apps in iTunes are not legit because this doesn't seem right. Can anyone help me remove them???

- The App and iTunes store is ste up so that there is a ten minute window to download something after the passwared for an update or purchse has been made. From your dscription, it appeared that that happened.
- It also appears that you have restrictions set that prohibit deleting apps. Go to Setings>General>Restrictions. You have to enter the passcode to change them.
- Look at the apps on the iPod. if there is one named Cycia, it means that the iPod had been jailbroken and that apps can be installed by means other than the App store.

Deleted app wants to update

I love my iPad, but am mostly a pc guy. I installed an app for a magazine, deleted the App as I only wanted to read one month, and now the app wants to update even though I no longer use it nor want it. On top of that I can not find clear information on how to completely remove the app and get rid of this constant update for a ghost app. I have been led to believe the Mac is god, but on a pc I can completely remove an app. Gone. Also, why does the volume control on the iPad work backwards?
Any help appreciated.

Without more information my guess is you subscribed to the magazine and haven't cancelled it.
I'm not sure what's upside down about the volume button, up turns it up and down turns it down. Maybe they have down for up and up for down on a PC.

Why are deleted apps appearing in Background App Refresh?

I have deleted the apps using iTunes on my computer but two apps, which do not appear anywhere else, have just showed up! I really don't like them being there so any help you can give me as to how to get rid would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance

I have this issue as well for every running app I've tried (i.e. Endomondo, MapMyRun, RunKeeper) since the iOS 8 update. I've filed support tickets for both Endomondo and MapMyRun after @AppleSupport told me to contact the app developers directly. As of ~10 days ago, both support teams told me they're aware of the issue and working toward resolution. Nothing since then.

Deleted Apps have pending updates

I have an IPod touch (Model - ME978LL/A) that has pending updates for weeks. I deleted the apps - snapchat, Pandora radio and Free Puffin Web Browser. The apps are still in the pending updates area with the indicator. I tried to reinstall the apps from the iPod and from iTunes connected to the computer-PC. No luck. Unsure of what to do.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Backup and restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Last, restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Deleted app from itunes and iphone appearing in updates

I have tries to install app 'Prince of Persia: Warrior within' from itunes but cancelled it looking at the app size. But this app appears in update section when I click 'itunes download available' or if I click download all apps. Again, it is also happening for one more app which I installed and deleted ('Capcom Arcade') but again it appears in download section and starts to download automatically.
I am really frustrated with this activity as I have to always check that itunes is not automatically downloading these applications other wise it consumes by internet bandwidth (both apps are more than 500 MB of size).
Please provide a solution or help me with any tips on this.

To completely remove an app from iTunes & your phone, do this: Right-click the app in your iTunes library, select delete, when prompted, move all files to trash, empty your trash, connect your phone, if prompted that there is purchased content on your phone not in your iTunes library, decline to transfer, hit the sync button. The app and all of its data will be gone.

Apps Available For Update Can't Be Updated in iOS 7!

We have two iPhone 4's, an iPad 2, and an iPad Mini, all with iOS 7. For weeks now some of our third-party Apps appear under Updates in the App Store app, but Update All is grayed-out and tapping an individual Update button only takes us to the app itself. Searching for answers indicates many users are experiencing the same behavior, and some discussions suggest it is somehow tied to the release of iOS 8, but there no specific confirmation of what is happening.
Can anyone provide an official, definitive Apple explanation of why this behavior is occurring ? ? ! !
If it is related to iOS 8, you would think we would be able to find out about it and not be left wondering if the only way the apps we use every day can be updated is by installing iOS 8 . . . . . . .

I am sorry you are not in a position to replace the iPad. It is stating the obvious, but nothing lasts forever - especially something like an original iPad. IMHO, there is nothing you can do to address the issues you have posted about.

My New iPad shows I have updates for apps available, but update screen is blank

Device New iPad. I have indication of updates available for Apps on my iPad. When I go to the App Store and select the Updates tab no Apps appear for update. The count of updates due is growing, but I am Bo longer able to update.

The update server is down; try this temporary workaround
App Store>Purchased>Select "All"
Note: Look out for apps that have the word "Update"

Well I just updated my iPad 2 Wi-Fi with the new iOS 7.0.4,but then a lot of uninstalled apps from my old,banned account appear and I can't delete them,the X appears but can't use it,in restrictions it lets me delete apps,help please.

App keeps appearing in updates

There is an app that keeps appearing in updates regardless of whether I update it, delete it, reboot iTunes or my Mac. This has been going on for a while now and that app is there every time I check. I can update all and then there it is in my updates. I have deleted the file from my iOS devices and from my hard drive and there it is in app updates.
How do I get this to stop?
iTunes 12 on Yosemite.

Okay, I am sorry I said anything. Now the "Update All" button is greyed out and I have to update my apps one at a time. At least I can skip that one app now...
Is there no one out there that can help?

This worked!. After updating to 7.0.6 a few days ago I was unable to delete apps. Called Apple support for help without success. I have NEVER entered a passcode to get in to restrictions so I know I didn't make this change (so I'm assuming that 7.0.6 did it for me). Apple wanted me to restore my iphone but thought I'd do more research first. Your advice solved the problem. THANKS!

ITunes wishes to update deleted apps.

iTunes wishes to update deleted apps, they are no where to be found on my iPhone and seem invisible on iTunes, when I 'check for available downloads' they will ALWAYS appear and try to download, I pause them then delete them but they always come back, without fail.
Does anyone have any ideas? Before i say goodbye to crapple and go to android.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Since the IOS7 is installed i cant delete apps. 1/I hold the app till it wiggles but the cross does not appear; 2/ i could not delete it through i-tunes; 3/ i tried resetting the ipad-settings/general/reset/all then i get a restrictions password request?

Is this a bug related to IOS 7 - I just installed the latest update also with no effect.

It appears that you have restrictions turned on in settings that prohibit app deletion. Is your iPad a personal possession or does it below to the company you work for?
