Deleted apps still appear as purchased in App Store app? How to delete?

How do I make deleted apps disappear from the list of purchased apps in the App Store?

You don't.
You cannot delete Apps from that list as that would defeat its purpose. It allows you to download purchased apps without having to re-pay for them. Its apple's way of remembering what apps you already payed for and can download again, without charging you for them again. Purchased Apps cannot be removed from the list.
You can however hide them if you wish:

Apple ID (your e-mail address) that was used to purchase apps are forever tied to that Apple ID for updates.
Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.

You have to download the purchased music, because now you can only listen to purchased music from iCloud. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519

If the tracks were not in your iTunes library on your computer when you subscribed to match, I am afraid that they are lost. Do you have a separate back up of this music?

Sorry, but movies cannot be downloaded more than once without charge, so if you don't have a viable backup, you may be out of luck. You can, however, contact the iTunes Store, explain the situation, and see if they can make an exception for you.

I deleted the 4oD app from my iPad but it still appears in the list in Settings. How do I get rid of that? It is causing problems when they issue updates as it apparently thinks I still have it when I don't.

Can any one help me get rid of a deleted app 4oD that still appears in the Settings list. I deleted it from the home screen and Spotlight search confirms it has gone. It is causing problems because I get notified of updates and I cannot get rid of them either. I have tried re-downloading via my MacBook because there isn't a download option from the iPad (App Store clearly think I still have it when I don't) then deleting again but the listing in Settings remains.
It is really irritating me.

Have you tried deleting the App within the Settings menu (rather than from the Home Screen)?
Settings>General>Usage>
From the Apps list, find the App (press "Show all Apps" if the app is not in the immediately shown list), tap on the app you wish to delete, then tap "Delete App"

If you've read them and deleted them from your iPhone it will not push a message to your iPad to delete them and remove the badge number. If you open the mail app on your iPad and let it connect it will remove the emails you have deleted on the iPhone. This is working as designed.

I have changed my country from India to Oman. Now when i try to update or download anyu application, the message," Your account is not valid for use in Indian Store. You must switch to the Omani Store before purchaseing" comes.
In Itune account details, the country is shown as Oman and payment details are also OK thru Oman based bank's Visa card.
Now the problem is that I cannot update any of my applications or download any new applications.

Not sure about where it is or even it this setting exists on 10.6 but on lion it is in the security & privacy section of system preferences. You have to click the lock icon and type in your admin password then select "Anywhere" in the "allow applications downloaded from:" area.

Retina Macbook has Yellow tint ... purchased via online store so how do I exchange?

I've just received my BTO Retina Macbook Pro and notice that there is a definite yellow tint. Looking online this is a common problem. But as I'm located in the UAE, there's no offical apple store here, just the online one.
I've compared the issue to my 2011 MBP and using the Retina MBP over airplay to my Sony HDTV. Attached are images to illustrate the issue.
What is the process / where can I go to have this issue fixed?

hey...just got my MBPr 4 days ago. My friend got his as well, and is calling me crazy because I'm bothered by a slight yellow tint to the screen, when the brightness is turned up to nearly full.
I've attached a screenshot. The computer was running for about 25 minutes when I took it. He's telling me that I'm nitpicking because I'm never going to use a pure white background, although pages like yahoo and google have an essentially white background. I've also included an all-black background, and a shot of the google homepage.
Do you guys see it as well? Comparitively, do you think it's a problem. If I decide to return it, it will have to be by mail because I ordered the 2.3 i7 with 16gb RAM, so it can't be replaced by store models.
Otherwise I'm really happy with the laptop. It's blazing fast and designed really well. Just wondering if you guys see a problem, or I really am nuts? By the way, this unit has a samsung display (discovered via the terminal command), not an LG panel.

Downloaded and Deleted fb messenger app, but I still appear on chat saying "messages" will be delivered to my phone

It stays in your purchased apps list because you bought it from the MAS. The most likely reason it offers to be "downloaded" (it's not that it needs to be downloaded, it is that is can be downloaded) is because you installed the OS X upgrade, which deletes the installer from the HDD. This is normal behavior.

the settings are gone, i guess. But even worse, I cannot get the iPad2 to play Full HD thru the Apple digital AV adaptor using apps that support (and advertise this), like AVPlayer HD. This definiteley used to work before one of the last iOS upgrades. (I am now at 5.1.1).
