Deleted cookies keep reappearing

Even though I delete cookies certain unwanted websites like MacKeeper, the sun.co.uk  still open a page and deposit a new cookie. I have made sure the Computer has its firewall turned on. These unwanted intrusive website only seem to do this on Safari, not on Firefox or Chrome.  Can I get rid of Safari and reinstall and would this help?

If you are concerned about cookie management on Safari, you'd be better of using Firefox or Chrome
Safari has a poor history when it comes to managing cookies in Safari as noted from the results of an ASC search here.

  • Deleted emails keep reappearing-GoDaddy delay the cause.. How to relocate to gmail?

For 4 months my deleted emails keep reappearing 3-5 times.  After 4 consultations with my web and mail host, GODaddy and 4 with Apple Geniuses and both blaming the other, An Apple trainer opined, and a GoDaddy supervisor Reluctlantly confirmed that there is a long delay in GoDaddy when I delete email in MAIL. Go Daddy sup admitted that they have had this problem for the same period I have been going crazy with it.  He suggested that since they did not know when it would be fixed that I move my email accounts (not my web sites) from GoDaddy to Gmail, but not to do itmyself, or I might lose much!  Apple genius does not wan to do it, nor does GoDaddy!  Any suggestions?

    Thank you, Ernie.
These are all IMAP.  I see trash on the server and on MAIL.  deletine Trash used to work from MAIL, but in last 4 months, if I want something to take effect, I work from the web mail of go daddy and MAIL gets the message.
So you suggest I go to Gmail and set up accounts ( I assume they  will walk me through )  (starting from my current gmail acct that my android uses-- or start from scratch?)  to receive email addressed to my current email addresses?  Then by not transfering out of goDaddy, I won't lose lots of email and mail files, folders in the transition?
There is a discussion on this topic of GoDaddy delays, from 2010 and 2011. So I may not be alone with the problem now.
    Best,
    Gayle

  • Song appears in itunes, delete but keeps reappearing

song appears in itunes, delete but keeps reappearing. the song is youth from foxes downloaded from the itunes store for free , even though i delete it from either the ipod 5th generation itself or if i connect it to itunes and delete it from their every time i delete it , it will reappear in itunes if a resync. and theirs two copies of it idk why. i want to delete the song from itunes, i know the song will keep appearing on the ipod because of apples stupid idea trying to make me redownload it. the songs are both shaded in grey. solution plss

Best route here is to focus initially solely on the iTunes Library.  Once it has all the Songs that you want, turn off iTunes Match, sign out of iTunes Store and restart the computer from cold.
Moving to the iPhone would suggest a restore and fresh link to the library post the following steps.
    1.  Sign in to iTunes Store;
    2.  Turn on iTunes Match - allow 3-step process to run to completion;
    3.  Make secure backup of library;
    4.  Force iPhone in to restore mode - hold down 'power on/off' with 'home key' for 10 seconds
    5.  Attach iPhone via USB to computer and follow 'restore' instructions in iTunes
    6.  Once complete synchronise with library as required
At this stage all required Songs should be on the iPhone - post iPhone back-up a good point to fully enable iTunes Match on the iPhone if required.

  • Deleted Files keep reappearing

I've tried everything - there are 12 files which after deleted and emptying trash - keep reappearing on my desktop
I've recreated the Trash Bin, ran Chkdsk, started in SAFE Mode and deleted, nothing.  Any ideas on what is causing this and how to remedy?
    thanks

Only have 1 account - that's mine and it is the administrator.
What are these files? (full name & extension?)
When were they created? (date & time?)

  • Mail deleted massages keep reappearing

I am a Mavericks operating & macbook user. I have noticed that every time I use Mail and delete unwanted messages, they keep reappearing again.
Is there a way to make Mac Mail is the Master and Yahoo/Gmail/Outlook is the slave, so that every action taken in Mail will be reflected in its relative mail box?
    Regards,

    Hello Joe.
What type of mail account is this (POP, IMAP, .Mac)?
Certain messages keep re-appearing in my inBox, even when I delete them.
You may be able to get rid of those messages in Mail doing Edit > Cut (⌘X) (for best results do it with one message or just a few at a time), but you should remove them from the server first if they’re still there.
Mail is only receiving some of the email messages sent to me.
Do you have any custom rules? It looks like Mail is downloading all the messages, but your rules are processing them in an unexpected way...
Open the Account Info window by choosing Get Info (⌘I) from the Action menu (gear icon) located below the mailbox list in the main Mail window. Does Mail display there the messages that it doesn’t download? Do they appear as already downloaded or as not downloaded yet (dot column)?

  • Deleted emails keep reappearing, can anyone help?

We have deleated the same emails several times but they keep reappearing, can anyone help

In mail, highlight on the left your mailbox, then on the menu bar click mailbox, then rebuild. The deleted emails should be gone.

  • Apple Mail 2.1.3 (OS X 10.4.11) deleted message keeps reappearing

I sent a mail that exceeded the maximum size of the recipients mailbox. When the mail-delivery message came back, my system HD was full and the incoming mail could not be stored. After I got my Mac back running, the mail-delivery-error-message keeps reappearing – even after deletion.
When I delete the message in the inbox and in the trash, it reappears as soon as I click on "Inbox". If I open the message and click the "Delete Message" icon, it stays and appears in my trash as often as I clicked it. How can I get rid of that message?
    Thanx.

If you know what you are doing it may be simplest to backup all emails and Mail settings and progressively remove Mail settings and files until you find the problem.
Make sure you do not delete more than you have to from the server.
Perhaps start by checking the server via web access to see that it looks OK at that end and does not have your large file stuck somewhere.

  • Deleted passwords keep reappearing!!!!

The Saved Passwords list of  the Safari's Password & Autofill keeps getting repopulated after I delete them on my iPhone 6!!!
I tried everything from turning the Keychain on and off, resetting my iPhone's settings and resetting the iPhone altogether.
Nothing seems to work and its really frustrating, I did easily remove the credit card entry and it didn't reappear.
Please let me know how to get rid of the saved passwords so that they stay deleted and don't reappear.

This certainly is a security defect introduced after iCloud sync was introduced!!!!
i Have tried all of the following:
    1. Removal of iCloud account from iPad. This process pro, puts for deleting synced keychain password and I did that
    2. Removed device passcode and forced passowd wipe while doing that
    3. Removed password manually from auto fill and password page
    but nothing works !!!!
the passwords keep reappearing. The biggest threat is that all are visible in plain text to anyone who can access my iPad.
Apple seems to be stubborn and in mess.

  • Deleted shows keep reappearing

Every time my DVR resets or reboots, all shows that I have deleted since Jan 11 reappear. I keep deleting, and the same shows keep reappearing. I have never had his problem before, but it is happening daily since Jan 11 because my DVR reboots every night around 7:00 for some reason. Getting very annoying and Verizon rep's only comment was "that's strange"

  • My cookies keep reappearing

    Hi,
When I delete all my website data, cookies keep reapering. It is driving me crazy! Almost immediately they start to pop back up. I am not sure what to do. I have read all sorts of forums, but I could not find an up to date answer. I am currently running OSX 10.8. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

    To get a proper and full control of the cookies in safari I suggest using this;
http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/31018/safari+cookies (I use this, its free...)
or get the pro version ' Cookie' in app.store
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cookie/id415585910?mt=12&ls=1
It made me crazy have to do this manually all the time, safari got so much better after I got this

  • Deleted mail keeps reappearing in my in box, apparentlt randomly

I am frequently receiving advice I have new mail only to find the new mail is in fact mail dating back some days or weeks. This may be 1 mail or multiple mails, perhaps up to 30 and is a real nuisance, Any advice most welcome, thanks. This only affecting Thunderbird, not Bell / Sympatico.

Deleted mail can reappear if the folder has not been compacted frequently.
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_Tips_:_Compacting_Folders
'' If you don't compact your folders regularly, performance can slow to a crawl, you can't store new messages anymore, start losing parts of messages or have deleted messages resurrected.''
Suggest you move all good emails out of Inbox to other suitable folders for organising.
Then delete all emails you do not want.
then right click on Inbox and select 'compact'.
    Then empty the Deleted folder.
Also Empty and compact the Junk folder.

  • Deleted emails keep reappearing on iPhone

Ever since updating to iOS 4.2.1, I'm having a problem with deleted emails reappearing on my iPhone 3G.
I have deleted these emails a dozen times. They are also deleted from the server, so they're not being re-downloaded.
I have rebooted and reset the phone. I have deleted and re-created the email account. The emails keep coming back. I have about 25 of them now and they just won't go away, like zombies back from the dead.
My email is a POP account at comcast.net. (IMAP is apparently not available for this account.)
Any ideas on how to permanently expunge these deleted emails?

I too am losing my mind. Tried initial reboot, etc. Then last night restored and reloaded/synced. On my POP account (earthlink) I continue to get it repopulating every time I delete an email. My resetting everything effectively wiped out my accrued emails which was fine since I pick them up on my laptop or via web if need be. But the 4 new emails CANNOT STAY DELETED!
So restoring wasn't an effective option.

  • My deleted emails keep reappearing!  cannot delete them!

I have a weird problem. In Mail, I keep getting a ton of deleted old emails. They just reappear in the inbox. I rebuilt the envelope index file. I rebuilt the mailbox. Still same problem.
It is a comcast POP email account.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help with this!

    I have the same problem
I discovered that if I look at emails that have been sent to trash, select them and press delete they all come back into the trash. When I do the proper erase deleted messages then they don't.
I noticed some people were having this problem on iphone as well.
I now have emails coming back into the Trash weeks, or months after I have deleted them, particularly ones with photos attached that I have sent through Kodak EasyShare, and copied to myself!! does anyone know what I can do about this? apart from being a waste of time, I might receive 100 photos in one day which slows everything down and effects my data usage.
And sometimes their are multiple maybe 5, copies of the same emails
    apart from that
I often receive two copies of the same emails, one will go into my inbox and one to trash or wherever I have a rule set for it to go.
I have loads of emails, I sort them all into folders with rules, and keep them for easy reference, especially if they are about work, would this have anything to do with it? Is there a limit on how many emails you can keep?

  • Deleted calendar keeps reappearing.

I deleted the "Work" Calendar off my iCloud, Mac, and off the device of a user who I share another calendar with. The calendar keeps returning to my device, but not the others. I've tried renaming the calendar to see if that would allow me to delete the calendar. Unfortunately, this didn't work.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

    Hello Joe,
Sounds like a strange issue. Do the user work on multiple computers?
Btw, have you tried the cleansharing switch of Outlook?
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/8ae5c4f0-31b2-4a09-9e7a-2b9640629f8c/disable-sharepoint-list-in-outlook?forum=sharepointgenerallegacy
Otherwise I would use a tool like Process Monitor in order to watch on the client what is happening with the reappearing Calendar.

  • Event Keeps Reappearing After Delete, Event Keeps Reappearing After Delete

I created an event and noticed subsequently that, in addition to this, the same event appeared again on a different date. I left the original and deleted the spurious event/date but, as soon as I touch any other date to make a new entry, it reappears - same spurious event on same date!! I am running iCal Version 7.0 (1835.1). I have done the usual Quit/Force Quit iCal and shutdown/restart. Anyone any ideas as to why please?
Now found this discussion already in progress but can't delete this one - help!!
