Deleted drafts - message headers remain with blank content (Gmail IMAP)

I thought I had solved the "zombie" drafts problem yesterday. I changed my Gmail.com IMAP settings to "auto-expunge off" and "immediately delete the message forever". My multiple zombie drafts finally disappeared from my Drafts box. But today, the multiple headers for all those deleted drafts have returned to my Drafts box, plus more for emails I sent since yesterday. There are 34 for one message. But the content panel for each of those headers is a completely blank, gray box. I do want to store my drafts on Gmail.com. Any help?

Hmm, turns out my iMac Apple Mail has been resetting the Mailbox activity settings for some random reason which would explain the drafts problem. Wonder why?

How do I fix the problem where Adobe Pro XI deletes and/or replaces letters with blank spaces or an x.
This is really annoying to have to go back to each thing I type into a document and re-choose the fonts to get them to be correct.

Accidentally delete iPhoto and now left with blank photos and blank events

Hi,
I have accidentally deleted iPhoto app and now i am left with blank photos and blank events in my iphoto.
I tried eveything. Ranging from removing the pplist, installing, Iphoto Library manager but it seems to get worse.
i have the original package content
and this is how my iphoto library icon looks like.
And when i try to drop my original content package into the new iphoto, it will show an error message.
Kindly tell me what else can i do?
im using iphoto'09

Outside chance: try recover the deleted files with an (expensive) app like File Salvage
Other than that, no hope.

Deleting Draft Messages

I have a draft message that originally had no addressee that I saved. However I now cannot delete it. It keeps reappearing after it seems like I deleted it. Does anyone know how to correct this issue?

Zombie deleted draft messages keep coming back in Mail

I have several messages in my drafts mailbox that just keep coming back. I've deleted them several times over and even rebuilt my mailboxes (ALL of them!) to try and fix this issues. Anyone else seeing this?

That seems to have solved it. I turned off storing drafts on the server a couple days ago and they haven't come back. Thanks!

Messages Auto-Send every minute using Gmail IMAP

When I try to compose or reply to a message, it seems Mail sends the draft every minute or so to the recipients. When composing an email over the course of a few minutes, the recipient has already received several copies...what could be causing this?

I think I am having the same issue. I recently got a iMac and am just trying to select which folders sent and deleted items are supposed to go. It appears as if there is no such option which seems odd to me because I was able to do that on my iPhone and it works exactly how it should with gmail. In Mail on the iMac though without being able to do this it created like 5 new labels in my gmail account for deleted, sent, junk, and imap/gmail or something like that. I did find this site http://www.hawkwings.net/ which appears to cover everything in Mail, however I have not had time to really go through it and had no luck in the few searches I tried.
Please help!

Try to Reset your device: Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first).

Save Draft button deletes entire messages

Here is what happens. I work on an email in Gmail on my laptop, save the draft. On my iphone, I go to my drafts and add content to the messages. I am not ready to send it, so I hit cancel. I get three buttons: Delete Draft, Save Draft, or Cancel. Cancel takes me back to composing the message, Delete Draft gets rid of the changes that I made in the iphone, but Save Draft DELETES THE ENTIRE MESSAGE. I have tested this a few times, and it consistently happens.
What am I doing wrong?

Try quitting the mail app completely and the restart the iPad.
In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that does not fix the issue, reset your iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Edit as new not working with draft messages?

Occasionally I want to send two similar messages at the same time. I write one message and save it as a draft - usually at this stage without any addresses specified.
I visit the Drafts folder and use Edit as New to open the draft message as what I expect to be a new message, and then make the changes necessary (including a modified subject) to create the second similar message. I then save the second message as a draft.
When I return to the Drafts folder, the second message has overwritten the first. Edit as New does not appear to work correctly in the Drafts folder ......
I can create two similar drafts by starting a completely new message (with Write), and then manually copying the subject & contents of the original draft. However this is a cumbersome process .....
Please can Mozilla be modified so that Edit as New allows multiple draft messages to be created correctly?

Thanks for your feedback. I've looked at the bug report you identified and added my vote to the system.
I have previously tried using Templates for this issue. However, my messages are usually sent to a mailing list. I have found in the past that the mailing list is expanded when the message is sent, and my templates contained the expanded list (which meant that any addresses subsequently added to the mailing list were ignored).
I don't think I've actually tried creating the template without any addresses, even though this is how I currently work with my drafts. I'll do some more experimenting - it might provide a neat solution to several related problems.

yes,
you got crash aka shortdump in your system.
- webserver: didn't crash, because it issued an error 500, so it works
- remains either the soap runtime, which usually doesn't dump but throw errors and the application itself.
I'd look into the tracefiles (ST11) or tie the debugger to the service in question (SICF) and try to find out hat happens/d.

Can message filters cause messages with blank subject and 1969 dates

I have done many things to try to trace why I get messages with blank subjects and 1969 dates.
downloaded TB
created all new folders
moved only persdict and msfFilterRules to the new profile.
At this try
set the option NOT to download messages on startup
went off line and compacted all folders.
emptied the inbox and all subfolders.
Exited TB.
deleted all files under pop.verizon.net except msgFilters rules.
Deleted all msf files for local folders in my profile.
opened TB.
a few times
--With Firefox went to verizon webmail and moved a few messages to the Verizon inbox.
--moved to TB window
-- Clicked <get messages>
-- still received blank messages with 1969 dates
-- deleted those messages
-- emptied trash
went to the filter rules and unclicked all filters that send files to local folders
left 2 rules in place
(1) if a sender was in my address list send the message to inbox folder called "Known sender"
(2) if the subject was NOT a weird string like "&*%$@!+=?><" send the message to inbox folder called "Suspicious" This filter is because there is not an ELSE function in TB it is extremely unlikely that a message would have such a subject.
[These two filters should move all messages except junk to the two folders.]
I then tried the above procedure of going to Verizon, moving messages to Verizon Inbox, etc. a few times.
I did NOT get the messages with blank subject and 1969 date!!
Questions:
(1) Is this just a fluke?
(2) From understanding the internals of TB is it reasonable that some now-unchecked message filter(s) had caused there to be the oddball messages?
(3) if It is a filter rule, how can I find out which one it is?

I looked though all the condition specification options I do not see how using header info in a condition specification would '''change '''the header info.
I looked at the possible actions on filters.
I only see "tag" and "Star" as ones that might change header info.
However, I found out that when I unchecked the first 17 of 19 filters and just had the two I explained above I would sometimes get a message with the 1969 date.
Since then I deleted those two rules and made new versions and moved them to the bottom where the earlier versions had been. I have not had the 1969 messages since!!
I have put a new filter at the top of the list that checks whether the date is before 1/1/971. If teh date is before 1/1/1971 the filter tags the message as important and moves it into the inbox folder named "Suspicious".
I have not seen any 1969 messages since then.
Since the problem was intermittent and because I was not able to create conditions whereby The 1969 dates would or would not occur, the problem may not be 'fixed'. I'll watch it for a while
Meanwhile, I'll continue to manually go though the webmail on Verizon and as a test only download mail that I do not want to save for the long term. Messages I want to keep I'll move messages I want to keep for the long term into foldrs on Verizon. I have done a complete uninstall and re install of iTunes and all related apple programs from my laptop through control panel, add remove programs and also by going through program files and deleting all tracers of any left over folders remove programs may have missed.
