Deleted email history during iCloud management

On one computer only, I've accidentally deleted the email history during an attempt to setup and manage an iCloud account. All that remains are a bunch of Apple and iTunes messages, plus a very few others, ranging back a few years.
Other computers don't have the problem, so I know those emails are out there, somewhere.
What's a good way to get them back, or connect to them in Apple Mail?

On a computer that has the e-mails, Mail/Mailbox/Export Mailbox. Copy the export to the computer lacking the e-mails, then Mail/File/Import Mailboxes.

You can find the sync password and the sync key in the password manager on the computer where you originally created that sync account (email).<br />
*Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
    Look for:
    * chrome://weave (Mozilla Services Password)
    * chrome://weave (Mozilla Services Encryption Passphrase)
If that isn't available then you can request to have a new password send to the email address that you used.

  • How to delete email account on iCloud

How do i delete a email account on icloud and put in a new one ?

If the ID is your the iPad is signed into is your old ID, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPad on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I have multiple devices(MACs, ipads and my newest Iphone 4s) connected to the cloud with my email account.  Why must I delete emails on all of the devices?     I thought the icloud was supposed to be able to manage that?  Please help me from spending my eternity in deletion ****!

  • Deleting email account from iCloud

I am trying to set up my daughter's iCloud on her iPod and I keep getting the error message that her email address is already in use on another account.  How can I delete the email from that account so I can use her email for her iCloud?

    Maybe:

    iCloud: About email aliases

You can only have one Apple ID associated with an iCloud account. You may not be able to do what you want.

  • Wrong eMail used during iCloud setup.

Ok, i'm really hoping someone can help me here.
I will try my best to descibe the problem and hope ye understand.
I wasn't there at the time so I can only go by what he said and guess the rest of it.
My Nephew got a 2nd hand iPhone4s and while he was setting it up it asked for an apple ID to set up his iCloud account etc.
He wreckons he put in his apple ID and password (we'll call this [email protected]) but it kept saying email/appleid already in use.
Now, in his eagerness to start using the phone, I believe he must of then started to use (or may have already been using) the create a new Apple ID option.
So when signing up he kept it close to his original Apple iD email and used (we'll call this [email protected]) and also entered a password.
Heres where the fun begins the new email ([email protected]) was not a functioning email address, and of course he has forgotten what password he used.
Now we can't delete the account or reset the iPhone because he can't remember the password and I can't reset the password either because I haven't a clue what email (if any) he used.
So as you can imagine, a bit like this thread, I'm going around in circles with no luck.
So if you understand any of what I have just written.....Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

Go to http://iforgot.apple.com - I understand you don't know the email, but it may present you with the option to answer security questions instead.

  • How do I delete email account from iCloud advance?

    Hi,
My iCloud email is merged with two other alien email accounts in my advance iCloud account information on my device, how do I delete those accounts?

Welcome to the Apple Community Utch.
I suspect you might be referring to your iCloud email aliases, which can't be seperated so far as the inbox is concerned. You might consider making some mail rules to move them into different folders.

  • Delete email account from iCloud

    Hi guys
I have a @gmail apple ID and after entered on icloud.com with my ID I have clicked on the email icon and it said that I should create an icloud account on a device to get through... so I did it on my iphone.
But this account was just a "test" one wich I suppose to delete it easily. But after hours trying to find out how to exclude this [email protected] mail from my iCloud account I could not find out a way to do it!!
When I go do Preferences inside the email on iCloud.com it shows my "test" account there, but no way to delete it!
Does anyone have an idea how to do that?
    Thanks!

You can't delete or change the main email address. You can add up to three 'email aliases' which are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main address. It's actually quite a good idea to give out an alias address rather than the main one as if it gets spammed it can be easily deleted without affecting calendar etc. syncing.
Please see here about creating aliases:

Deleted a message from my trash folder and I need it can I restore it!

    Hey there Fadi,
It sounds like you would like to restore your deleted videos to your iPhone. If you had a back up in either iTunes or iCloud you can restore from that back up with the following article:

  • NEED HELP with deleting Email History on iphone 4....

hey guys and gals....i had recently attempted to email my friend about 3 times and messed up his email address so now when ever im going to write a email and i type the letter M all the wrong emails show up...and i have to go through them all to find the right one and its so annoying...does anyone know how to delete them?

does anyone know how to delete them?
The only way to remove this data is to restore your phone as a "new" device and re-sync your itunes content. All saved data on the phone will be lost. You have to decide it its worth going through all of that or just living with it.

  • How can I recover my deleted emails from the iCloud?

I erase them trying to build up space not knowing that in doing so i was erasing all the emails from that account in my iPhone; iPad and MAC pro. I have my inboxe's clean (arggggg)

If it hasn't already been overwritten you could try attaching the phone to your PC - get to the DCIM folder and then run something like this

  • I have deleted all emails from my ICloud email account but my manage storage still shows that the mail is using 9.7GB.  Why isn't the number decreasing if all emails have been deleted?

I have deleted all emails from my ICloud email account but my manage storage still shows that the mail is using 9.7GB.  Why isn't the number decreasing if all emails have been deleted?

It might be caused by storage "buffering".  If so, the space will adjust automatically when another iCloud feature uses the space previously allocated to your deleted email.  See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4873.

  • I have deleted hundreds of pictures, I've deleted apps, deleted emails and texts, and I've turned off and deleted backups of apps on icloud and it is still telling me that there is not enough icloud storage available for my phone to be back

I have deleted hundreds of pictures, I've deleted apps, deleted emails and texts, and I've turned off and deleted backups of apps on icloud and it is still telling me that there is not enough icloud storage available for my phone to be backed up. I am supposed to do this before I go to the Apple store today to get my phone fixed. Can someone please help me? I have done almost everything.

This article explains ways to reduce your iCloud storage: Managing your iCloud storage.  In addition to what's mentioned in the article, if you have lots of photos and videos attached to your text messages, these are all included in your iCloud backup and deleting them can sometimes significantly reduce the size of your backup.
If worse comes to worse, back up your phone to your computer rather than iCloud.  To do this, connect it to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Back Up and to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.  This can be used to restore your data when you get your phone back.  (In fact, it's faster because you don't have to download the data from iCloud.)

  • Do I need to backup my pics and email etc with iCloud backup or would it delete my data?

I have an ipad (3rd gen)  and an iPod (5th gen) I use the ipad for school as in my school instead of books and copies. I use my ipad for leisure and taking photos and videos and Facebook etc etc. both of the devices are using the same account. I only have the free 5GB backup package. I need the storage for my ipad school things as if I lose them..that's all my schoolwork..gone. I have recently taken a lot of photos with my iPod and downloaded a lot of games. Today a notification popped up saying that I'd almost run out of iCloud backup and that I could delete some of the backup on apps etc. so that's what I did and it barely made a dent in the backup figures. I then decided to delete most of my photos just so I'd have some more space for Facebook but it turns out that if you delete your photos, it doesn't actually result in a solution to the backup problem. So what I'm wondering is.. Do I really need to backup my pictures or email etc a and just leave the backup for my ipad? Also, when I go into Settings=>iCloud=>Storage &amp; Backup=>Manage Storage=>this iPod at the bottom of the page there's a button that says "delete backup". I'm wondering if it would help my situation or something. Thanks in advance :)

You don't need to back up your photos to iCloud if you don't want to.  If you don't, be sure to import them (and your videos) to your computer so they are backed up there, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  You can then turn Camera Roll off under Backup Options.  This article explains other options for managing and reducing your iCloud storage: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847.
If you tap Delete Backup in Manage Storage>your device, it will permanently delete the backup from iCloud.  It won't do anything to the data currently on your device, but it does put you at risk until you create a new backup.
