Deleted emails keep reloading on iPhone 4S

After deleting read emails and emptying the trash folder, they reload as new emails on my iPhone 4S and iPad.  Help!

I too am losing my mind. Tried initial reboot, etc. Then last night restored and reloaded/synced. On my POP account (earthlink) I continue to get it repopulating every time I delete an email. My resetting everything effectively wiped out my accrued emails which was fine since I pick them up on my laptop or via web if need be. But the 4 new emails CANNOT STAY DELETED!
So restoring wasn't an effective option.

  • Deleted emails keep reappearing on iPhone

Ever since updating to iOS 4.2.1, I'm having a problem with deleted emails reappearing on my iPhone 3G.
I have deleted these emails a dozen times. They are also deleted from the server, so they're not being re-downloaded.
I have rebooted and reset the phone. I have deleted and re-created the email account. The emails keep coming back. I have about 25 of them now and they just won't go away, like zombies back from the dead.
My email is a POP account at comcast.net. (IMAP is apparently not available for this account.)
Any ideas on how to permanently expunge these deleted emails?

Thanks for those details! I just want to make sure I have this straight. You delete emails on the computer and/or the phone, but they keep re-appearing your phone phone's inbox? If you use the Comcast email client instead of the pre-installed Mail app, does this continue?

    Hello waybk,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Deleted emails keep returning

Why do deleted emails keep returning on my mac? I use Mavericks OS.

Gmail makes it difficult to permanently erase messages.
Go to Gmail's web interface. Delete them there. Search in All Mail, select them, delete them, empty Gmail's Trash. Do this recursively until you can no longer find them anywhere.
After this it will take your iMac's Mail some time to sync with Gmail.
Then, examine your Gmail account settings in Mail. Verify that you have instructed Gmail to eventually delete messages.
    Example:

  • I cannot delete emails I have a iphone 3GS running IOS 6.0.1

I cannot delete emails, I have an iphone 3GS runningIOS 6.0.1. I tap edit and the red circle appears, but no delete rectangle or dustbin appears

AT&T does not issue unlock codes for iPhones.  I had to think a minute, because I never had a 3GS myself, and thought it might have been different for them, but my daughter had one, and the unlock process is the same as for the 4.  After AT&T approves the unlock (which means the contract has been fulfilled), they notify Apple.  AT&T then sends the phone's owner an email detailing the process to unlock the phone, which consists of backing up the data, then restoring the phone as new in iTunes (which is where the unlock comes in), then restoring the data backup and then syncing.  I went through this to unlock my AT&T iPhone 4.  SO, I'm not sure what the unlock code business is about, except that it doesn't sound legit.

  • Deleted emails keep reappearing-GoDaddy delay the cause.. How to relocate to gmail?

For 4 months my deleted emails keep reappearing 3-5 times.  After 4 consultations with my web and mail host, GODaddy and 4 with Apple Geniuses and both blaming the other, An Apple trainer opined, and a GoDaddy supervisor Reluctlantly confirmed that there is a long delay in GoDaddy when I delete email in MAIL. Go Daddy sup admitted that they have had this problem for the same period I have been going crazy with it.  He suggested that since they did not know when it would be fixed that I move my email accounts (not my web sites) from GoDaddy to Gmail, but not to do itmyself, or I might lose much!  Apple genius does not wan to do it, nor does GoDaddy!  Any suggestions?

    Thank you, Ernie.
These are all IMAP.  I see trash on the server and on MAIL.  deletine Trash used to work from MAIL, but in last 4 months, if I want something to take effect, I work from the web mail of go daddy and MAIL gets the message.
So you suggest I go to Gmail and set up accounts ( I assume they  will walk me through )  (starting from my current gmail acct that my android uses-- or start from scratch?)  to receive email addressed to my current email addresses?  Then by not transfering out of goDaddy, I won't lose lots of email and mail files, folders in the transition?
There is a discussion on this topic of GoDaddy delays, from 2010 and 2011. So I may not be alone with the problem now.
    Best,
    Gayle

  • Deleted emails keep coming back on my iPad Air

Deleted emails keep coming back on my ipad air

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

  • HT204150 I linked my outlook express with icloud, not realizing it would change my outlook express contacts.  I deleted email addresses from my iphone which in turn deleted them from my PC.  Is there any way to get these addresses back?

I linked my outlook express with icloud, not realizing it would change my outlook express contacts.  I deleted email addresses from my iphone, not wanting them there which in turn deleted them from my PC.  Is there any way to get these addresses back? Seems I no longer have an outlook contacts list.

It's Outlook, not Outlook Express (different program) and if you have now deleted them from iCloud and do not have a backup they are gone.

  • Deleted emails keep re-appearing ??

    Hi All
Very strange thing keeps happening over the last week or so :-
I have 3 email accounts on my iPhone when I delete any of these emails after reading them ( and emptying the trash ) they mysteriously keep re-appearing back in my in-box when I return to the iPhone after I turn it back on.
The emails are no longer on the main servers they originated from as I have deleted them after downloading them to their respective email accounts.
Has anybody experienced this ? and more important what if any is the fix for what appears to be a bug.
    Kind Regards
    Corrie

WOW! The same exact thing keeps happening to me! I went into the Apple Store and was told to try deleting the email account and then re-entering it. It's still doing the same thing! Please fix this! I am 100% sure it's related to the 4.0 update I did on my phone....never did it before the update, and now it does!

  • Deleted Emails Keep Repopulating my Inbox

I have an iPad, iPhone and Mac and all have been upgraded to IOS 5.0 and all have iCloud turned on for mail (and most categories for what its worth).  The problem that I'm having is my emails, after deleting them and sorting them into different follow-up folders I have, keeps showing back up in my inbox.  I can go through and clean up my inbox by sorting into the different folders I have or just delete emails.  As soon as I select a different folder and go back to the inbox, everything I just cleaned up is right back in the inbox.  I have tried changing a few things but nothing has worked.  It really is quite annoying.
Is anyone else having this issue and how did you fix it?

I think it must be on the server end, not deleting it, & even whackier on the other end if 3 year old ones are coming back, I'd login using WebMail in a Browser & trash the deleted ones.
To delete an email without opening it, try right clicking on it & choose Delete.

  • Deleting and keeping data in iPhone tradein

I'm in the process of trading in my current iPhone 5. I have a considerable amount of semi-confidential data that I keep on my iPhone. I'd like to be able to transfer this info to my new iPhone when I purchase it, but I obviously want to physically delete it from the old phone before handing it over in the trade. Is there a simple way to do this? If I delete the confidential info before I go to store to trade in, will I be able to restore the data via iTunes without messing things up.

Yes, back-up your device using iTunes or iCloud.  Then, before trading in your phone, turn off Find My iPhone and then wipe the device under Settings > General > Reset.

Did you have time machine set up? Maybe you can retrieve them from a backup.
Oh... and if your mail provider is someone like Google, They may be sitting in your all mail folder on the server.
