Deleted Inbox Mail not found in Trash

After I have read email I delete them and expect they will appear in the Trash mail box. This is not happening. Is there a preference corruption that needs to me corrected? Version 10.3.9
Phil

Hi Philip
Welcome to Discussions.
Is there a preference corruption that needs to me corrected? Version 10.3.9
No, but a preference adjustment needs to be made.
In Mail > Preferences > Accounts; Special Mailboxes; Trash there are choices about what happens when mail is moved to the Trash.
*Erase deleted messages when*; One day old will have them disappear from the Trash if they are one day old, younger than that and it will still be there in the Trash.

    I have an iPad 2 and receive e-mail through regular internet connection. Lately, when I delete e-mails, and clear my Trash folder, they re-appear, downloaded anew from the server and marked as unread. My e-mail Advanced Settings are selected for "Remove from server when moved from Inbox." Even when I access the e-mail accountfrom my desktop and delete the e-mails, the re-appear on my iPad. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and what I can do to actually delete them?

    Sounds like you are looking in the wrong Administrative Group container which is why you are seeing your Exchange 2010 servers in there.
    When you install Exchange 2003 only you will see a container named by default as "CN=First Administrative Group" container. But this could be named anything if you changed the Organization Name on the installation when you installed the first
    Exchange 2003 server into the domain/forest.
    You will notice that when you install Exchange 2010 part of the AD setup is to create a new configuration container and is named by default "CN=First Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)".
    So it sounds like you are not looking in the right location within ADSIEdit.
    You may find the following article also helpful for this issue which is the same resolution:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/sbs/archive/2012/05/17/empty-cn-servers-container-causing-issues-with-public-folders-on-small-business-server-2011.aspx
    I recommend though that you ensure your Exchange 2003 servers are fully uninstalled or no longer present in your environment before you go deleting the Servers container though.. The following Microsoft article will help with this:

    inbox mail not deleting?

    I figured out the problem, but not sure why it's happening. It seems that gmail will not remove messages from the inbox that are deleted from Apple Mail until I've manually gone into Trash in Apple Mail. I guess it used to sync all mailboxes before. Not sure what to do to fix this.

  • Package javax.mail not found in import.

    hi,
    i am trying to develop a mail application using jsp, i have jaf1.0.1 and javamail API and the application was working fine on weblogic but when i tried to do the same thing on Apache server the Package javax.mail not found in import. is occuring,
    What could be the problem can any one explain...
    Thanks

    I think you have not placed mail.jar and activation.jar files in the /jre/lib/ext directory. Just place the mail.jar and activation.jar files in the jdk's /jre/lib/ext directory and check out. This will work for you.

  • Import javax.mail not found

    Hello,
    I am new to Java Mail. I wanted to test my first programme. When I compile, I get this errors.
    package javax.mail not found in import and so on. I have set my classpath to so
    set classpath = %classpath%;C:\j2sdk1.4.0\lib\mail.jar;C:\j2sdk1.4.0\lib\activation.jar
    I included the mail.jar,smtp.jar and activation.jar in the lib directory of my jdk e.g c:\j2sdk1.4.0\lib\ "the jar file".
    Can any one tell me what I am missing here?
    Thanks
    James

    the easiest way to do this is to put
    activation.jar
    mail.jar
    mailapi.jar
    imap.jar
    smtp.jar
    pop3.jar
    into the virtual machine directory C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3.1\lib\ext
    or the lib\ext directory of whatever virtual machine you are using
    and put coppies of them in JDK
    C:\j2sdk1.4.0-beta3\jre\lib\ext
    or jre\lib\ext
    of whatever JDK you are using
    this way they are found automaticaly
    no need for classpath

  • How to recover - rescue - deleted INBOX (Mail 2) with emlx format?

    Hello, I have accidentally deleted my emails (MAC OS 10.4.8, .emlx format). I had over 6000 emails in the folder INBOX. It happened because I stupidly used action "delete" from Mail menu (Mailbox - delete). I shut immediately my computer down and restarted the computer from another disc for best data preservation after I found zero emails in my INBOX. I have found and tried DataRescue II ver. 1.1 (ProSoft eng. inc.) software to recover .emlx format from affected hard drive but it only found old email format .mbox instead of .emlx. I have also found and tried FileSalvage Software (SubRosaSoft) to recover .emlx format from affected hard drive but only around 40 of .elmx emails was found. Are my emails really definitely lost? Can you help me please with some advice? Thank you! Best regards Fofr.
    iMac G5/2,1GHz/20"/iSight   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Hello Fofr.
    FileSalvage is the only data recovery utility I know for sure that can recover deleted *.emlx files. I don't expect you to be able to recover all the 6000+ deleted messages, but just 40 without having done anything with the computer seems too little to me.
    What type of account is this (POP, IMAP, .Mac)? Any chances some of the lost messages could still be on the server?

  • Deleted Emails Do NOT go to trash (not sure where?)

    Hi. Before LEOPARD upgrade - when I hit delete for emails (POP earthlink account) they did not go to TRASH -- I ended up finding them under user/library/mail/POP/deleted messages. THEN when I upgraded to LEOPARD I could NOT hit delete to delete emails -- had to drag them to TRASH (on my MAC - but not the EARTHLINK account) -- I then unchecked the"move deleted msg to a separate folder -- and now I CAN hit the delete button to delete -- BUT 1/they don't go to TRASH and 2/ they are NOT in the user/library/mail/POP/Deleted Message -- as pre-LEOPARD
    Went to Apple Genius Bar - and was told at different times different things -- neither work -- 1/this must be a problem that they will have a patch for later? 2/for me to re-enter my account info and that this should fix it (did not)
    Any suggestions?

    Hi Ernie -- I wanted to let you know that you were correct and resolved my problem. I went to the Genius Bar -- and the issue at hand was as you said -- that my DELETED MESSAGES FOLDER did not have the .mbx suffix - so needed to create it. 1/ I went to mail and re-entered my account info (just to reset it) -- did not completely clear as this could have erased all of my messages. 2/ I then sent a mail to my SECOND POP account -- and then hit delete -- this created a new mailbox under trash. (for some reason this worked THIS time) 3/ I then went to LIBRARY/MAIL/POP2/DELETED MESSAGES and then this account DID have the correct Deleted Messages.mbx suffix. SO POP2 - working fine 4/ Backed up all emails (just in case) 5/Tried to delete a message in the POP1 account -- still would not work -- so COPIED the POP2 account Deleted Messages.mbx to Desktop and then replaced the existing POP FOLDER DELETED MESSAGES from the FIRST POP account with this.(perhaps there was an easier way to do this)? Then we ran rebuild.
    Thanks so much -- as you really helped pinpoint the problem - so when I went to the Genius Bar - I could tell them WHERE the problem was! Happy Holidays.

  • Deleted Items do not go to trash.. where are they ? :)

    Hi,

  • Import javax.mail not found problem

    I have downloaded the most recent mail.jar and activation.jar files and have created a library w/in JDev called javamail and have added these jars to that library. I have also included this library in my ViewController Project. The problem I am having is that the following imports statements are not found by JDev:
    import javax.mail.Message;
    import javax.mail.MessagingException;
    import javax.mail.Multipart;
    import javax.mail.Session;
    import javax.mail.Transport;
    import javax.mail.internet.InternetAddress;
    import javax.mail.internet.MimeBodyPart;
    import javax.mail.internet.MimeMessage;
    import javax.mail.internet.MimeMultipart;
    When I open up the mail.jar I can find all of these classes, so why are these imports not being recongnized?
    I have also tried import javax.mail.*; to include everthing and this does not work either.
    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to trouble shoot this issue?

    Try to add the J2EE library - which is predefined in JDeveloper- to your project's libraries.
    Worked for me.

  • DELETED FILES DO NOT GO TO TRASH

    Every time I delete a file, it does not go to trash, it simply disapear so trash bin is useless. How can I fix this problem? I want my deleted files to be shown in my recycle bin.

    In that case, if the account in question is an admin account, you would just tack "sudo" on at the beginning:
    sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash
    If the affected account is not an admin account, you need to log in to an admin account and do this:
    sudo rm -rf /Users/theusername/.Trash
    ...where "theusername" should be the name of the user folder with the broken trash.

  • Alert configuration or Alert Inbox-----404 Not Found

    Hi,
    In RWB, When I click Alert configuration or Alert Inbox
    the following message is displayed
    404 Not Found
    SAP J2EE Engine/6.40
    The requested resource does not exist.
    Details: Go to main page of this application!
    Is this due to installation problem ?
    How to fix this ?
    Thanks,
    ss

    Hi,
    check the following entries in your Exchange Profile:
    com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost --- Must be full qualified
    com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport   --- 80<SysNo> or see SMICM -> Goto -> Services: http-Port
    Normaly you only need to refresh you RWB with the following link:
    http://<System>:<Port>/rwb/rtc?op=init
    if this doesn't work try to restart the complete ABAP Stack.
    Good luck!

  • SAP Inbox mail not working

    When I am sending mail from my SAP Inbox to other User SAP inbox, mail is not going into other user sap inbox.
    Let say User A is send SAP inbox email to User B sap inbox, User B does not get email in his SAP Inbox even we selected Receipent type "SAP Logon Name". Instead mail is going to email address mentioned in SU01. I removed email address from SU01 even mail is not coming to SAP User Inbox.
    I think this is defualt configuration sap has provided in all SAP system but some how it is not working.
    anybody has any idea.
    Thanks
    Manish Patel

    Dear Manish Patel!
    Please check whether you have activated the mail system group in your system. In this case the received mails will go automatically to user's home mail address, defined in tr. SU01 for user.
    To check the mail system group:
    -Tr. SO16 >> Tab "Mail sy. grp." >> check the checkbox "Send to home Addresses of Users"
    If this is set, please uncheck it (check the checkbox "No Mail System Group") and test the behaviour again.
    Regards

    Hi ,
    We are trying configure Alert Framework in PI 7.0.
    When we are opening the Alert Configuration page through the link
    http://<Hostname>:5<Sys.No>00/rwb/index.jsp -> Alert Configuration we are getting error " 404   Not Found"
    But when we changed the exchangeProfile parameter com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport from 5<Sys.no>00 to 8<sys.no>0 we got the page displayed there.
    But when we click that page it asks for authentication again !!!
    And where we need to fix this redirection problem from 5<sys.no>00 to 8<sys.no>0 ..
    the parameter -> icm/HTTP/j2ee_0
    is holding this value
    PREFIX=/,HOST=localhost,CONN=0-500,PORT=5$$00
    Please suggest.

  • Deleted pop mail not deleted from server

    mail retrieved from pop acct & deleted, and trash emptied, is not deleted from server, so it gets re-retrieved.
    settings>delete from server> when removed from inbox, but the msgs are still on the server as viewed from the isp's web interface.

    been there, done that;-}
    Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.verizon.net
    Incoming Server Port Numbers: 995
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net
    Outgoing Server Port Numbers: 465
    it seems mail.app is designed for imap, in that msgs can't be deleted when d/l'd by default, but must be config'd "when moved from inbox"
