"Deleted items: Synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device?" questions

When I log into the BIS site for Sprint, it gives me the option at the bottom that says
"Deleted items: Synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device." at the very bottom
What does this really mean? I am confused because when you delete an email off the blackberry, it gives you 3 options, delete from "mailbox & handheld," "handheld," and "cancel".
So, if I have the "Deleted items: Synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device." clicked...does that mean when I just choose delete from "handheld" only, it will STILL delete the email from my actual "mailbox" too?
I don't want it to delete the email from my "mailbox" if I choose to delete from "handheld" only on my blackberry
Does anyone know more about this?
Thanks guys

in my opinion :
if you choose to delete on device only, it will never delete on your server.
but best is you to try for one test message and you'll know for sure. And tell us.

  • After Upgrade to v4.5.0.138 - Can't Sych deleted items between mailbox and my device

    Yesterday I was prompted to upgrade my BBerry (Curve 8330) software and I did so. Now I'm running v4.5.0.138.
    I have four separate email accounts setup on my BBerry, 2 Hotmail and 2 Gmail accounts.
    Prior to the upgrade, I was able to "Synchronize deleted items between [these] mailbox[es] and my device" - I had this option set to "Yes" for each of my mailboxes in the General Settings for each. Whenever I chose to delete an email message from my BBerry, I was prompted to either delete from device only or delete from device and server. This was great! I often want to delete from both my BBerry and the server. It really helped me keep my email inboxes cleaned up.
    After the upgrade, I no longer have this functionality. The Hotmail accounts don't even have this option available in their General Settings. The Gmail accounts have this setting, which I have set to "Yes", but I am not prompted when I delete messages and messages are not being deleted on the server.
    Anyone have any ideas about this?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Welcome to the forums DiskEyes
    The settings you are looking for are in the Mail folder. Press menu/blackberry button>Options. In Options go to Email Reconciliation. You will have to setup each email from there. Change "Message Services" to the email you want to setup and then under it, change the "Delete On" to "Prompt". Press escape and save.
    Post back if you have issues doing this.

  • Deleting apps from iTunes Library and IOS Devices at once.

    Hi there,
    I tend to delete all unneeded apps from iTunes library on my Mac, because when I delete them from there, it just take one syncing session to deleted them from all my other devices. But recently I noticed that this way is no longer helpful, now I have to delete each app on my iPhone, iPad and Mac manually. So if anyone can help me to make iTunes recur to the previous pehevior, please replay ASAP.
    Thanks.

    I have the same problem! I recently decided to clean up my devices. The first thing that came to my mind was to delete an App from iTunes, sync and get rid of it on all other devices. I was surprised that it stays on iDevices evem after you delete it from iTunes. I don't want it this way. DOes anyone know of a trick that can allow me delete an app just once?
    Before if you delete an App from iTunes and try to Sync an iPhone or an iPad with it, you would see a window telling you that there are items on your iphone that are not present in iTunes - do you want to copy them? Now it just "syncs" and leaves the Apps untouched. What kind of synchronization is this?

  • Deleting an older user account and migration assistant question

    Hello,
    So I'm out of the loop big time. I've had my current 17" iMac since 2006 (10.5.8) it's the white border one. Anywho I just got my new 27" i7 iMac and feel really stupid trying to migrate from the old computer to the new one. I couldn't figure it out so had to call Apple help.
    First off I put the ethernet cable in the back of both machines thinking it was the Firewire and chose the Firewire option and kept wondering why it wouldn't work. Then it dawns on me I have the ethernet cable in. So I try to transfer that way and get stuck on the Install Mac OSX install disk and install the CD or DVD setup something or other. Well I stick the DVD in my old iMac and open the install disk and see nothing that says CD or DVD setup. I call the Apple line and realize that because my new iMac isn't hooked up to the internet I can't use the ethernet option (okay why I didn't realize that I don't know but it's been a long week and I haven't migrated a computer in a long time).
    On top of all that the lady tells me the new iMac has a 800 Firewire and my old one only has a 400 Firewire (so that is why I couldn't get my Firewire 400 cable to work).
    So she tells me it will take ages to set up wirelessly but I need to click no and not transfer data to the new iMac, then setup my internet then go back into migration assistant on both machines and click the network option. It is taking ages to do this.
    I told her I was on the forums and that doing it this way would create a new user account and she said just to delete the old one once the new one is created. Is it that simple? My old user account is called Pink Tuley and new one is called Tuley. So once the migration is complete (think it's going to take hours on end, my old machine is 160GB with about 140GB of it full) do I just delete the older Pink Tuley account?
    Yes, this is a long winded question I know.

    elmac,
    I'm currently migrating my old iMac to my new iMac via the internet wirelessly. I did what the Apple support told me to do since I don't want to go out and buy a new Firewire cable (I have a 400 one now and would have to get one that has a 400 and 800 on each end which I could have bought at the store had I known).
    Instead I chose not to migrate and set up my iMac with the internet, and now I'm migrating via migration assistant opened up on both machines using using the network option. It's okay if it takes forever to do as I've waited this long (I had to wait 5 weeks for my Macbook Pro HR-AG to arrive).
    My old user account is called Pink Tuley and I thought there would be mass confusion if I named the new user account the same name so I chose Tuley for this one. Once I'm all migrated do I just go into the user accounts on my new iMac and delete Pink Tuley?

  • Difference between this,var and variables

    Hi all,
    Can you give in simple English "this","var" and "variables"
    differ and their purposes?
    The docs in google are confusing,Thank you all.

    Consider this:
    X.CFC
    ==========================
    <cfcomponent>
    ___<cfset this.foo = "foo"> <--- Public
    ___<cfset Variables.bar = "bar"> <--- Private
    ___<cffunction name="tryme">
    _____<cfoutput>
    ______#this.foo#<P>
    ______#Variables.bar#
    _____</cfoutput>
    ___</cffunction>
    </cfcomponent>
    ==========================
    Example 1: You can do this:
    <cfobject type="component" component="x" name="xObj">
    <cfoutput>#xObj.tryme()#</cfoutput>
    It'll output "foo bar"
    Example 2: You can't do this:
    <cfobject type="component" component="x" name="xObj">
    <cfoutput> #xObj.foo# #xObj.bar#</cfoutput>
    It'll get upset on the #xObj.bar# part because it's private -
    meaning only the CFC can access and manipulate a Variables variable
    inside it's CFC.
    However #xObj.foo# works because it's public, the CFC can
    access and manipulate it's own this variable, and anything outside
    of it can too.

  • Any basic differences between AT&T and Verizon, & other questions

    I am thinking of buying an iPad mini with retina display (32gb). This would most likely be the only iPad I would ever own. I would use it mostly at the house with wifi, but would like to have one with cellular for when we travel in the US and Canada, and for when the electricity goes out. We currently live in a location where both AT&T and Verizon are viable options, but sometime in the next year we hope to move. The state is rural and mountainous, so as we drive around, my spouse's iPhone (with an AT&T plan) often loses service, but so does my Jitterbug phone, which is not tied to any one carrier (as far as I know). A phone can get a signal in one locaton, but then lose it a few feet down the road. So, there is no way I can choose between AT&T or Verizon based on coverage because both are options right now and there is no way to predict which one(s), if any, might provide service to wherever we end up moving to. Therefore, I'm wondering if there are any basic differences between AT&T and Verizon (or any other of the possible carriers) in what they offer or how they work or what they charge and so on that can help me decide which one to choose since it is my understanding that once I pick one of them for an iPad, that decision can never be changed without purchasing a new device. (e.g., I had read somewhere that Verizon does not allow for voice and data at the same time, but since an iPad is not a phone, is that even an issue?) Also, will the iPad work if there is only regular 4G or 3G service? And will a cellular iPad work without signing up for a data plan since I expect to start with only wifi and then add a data plan later? Thank you.

    Alfred DeRose, Thank you for answering the second and third questions. Judging by what you wrote, I am assuming there are no differences between what AT&T and Verizon offer that affects iPads, other than looking at coverage area and the cost of "pay as you go" plans. And, as noted, coverage is not something I can base a decision on at this time. So, I either flip a coin to choose between AT&T and Verizon and hope the result is the right one after we move to wherever we end up finding a place to live, or I continue to wait for another year or more until we actually find a new house before I buy an iPad (or maybe a Kindle Fire HDX 8.9"to save money, but I think I've probably settled on an iPad mini retina 7.9" despite its smaller screen). That does not move me along the decision-making process at all, but it is what it is.
    Greatcall has not answered my question about what carrier(s) the Jitterbug Plus phone uses. If, in fact, it uses just the Verizon network, I will try to pay better attention to any possible differences in service areas between that phone and my spouse's iPhone as we travel around the state to see if that helps at all. But coverage is so location specific here that I don't think it will.

  • Conflict between Logic Pro and external device error in Logic Pro X./cpu problems

    hi Logic users,
    using a MacBookPro 15 inch Retina, 2,7 GHz intel Core i7, 16 GB Ram, OSX 10,8,5, Logic X 10.0.4.
    i am wondering if you can help me out with the following problem i cant solve:
    when starting logic x with a not too big arrangement, lets say using one third to half of cpu, i open u-he plugin Diva and the cpu is going up on full range and the following error appears: "sample-rate 39299 (number always changes) reconized. Check conflict between logic pro x and external device"
    as external device im running a VirusTi and as audio-device Apogge Duet. when dis-connecting both devices, i have the same problem.
    putting the sample buffer up to the highest rate, doesnt change anything.
    same arrangements on friends computers dont show that problem, so it has to be something wrong in my set up.
    anybody has an idea?
    would be much appreciated for your help,
    thanx-

    Have you used Diva's preset Accuracy system to reduce CPU load?
    accuracy
    Click on the Main button at the bottom of the window. To the right of the Master section are two selectors called Accuracy and OfflineAcc. In the current version of Diva these are global parameters i.e. they remain fixed across all presets, per loaded instance:
    draft........CPU-friendly, but FM will sound rough and resonance is primitive i.e. NOT zero delay! fast......... Fine for older computers and/or when you need more polyphony in acceptable quality great...... The best compromise between quality and polyphony on high-power computers divine..... Top-quality zero delay feedback filters... but can your computer can handle it?
    OfflineAcc only has two options – same or best (i.e. divine in the current version).
    Some host applications may have problems rendering to audio at the selected accuracy, but the
    better ones include an “inform plug-ins of offline rendering status” or similar.
    I typically work in draft mode and then switch to Devine or best when freezing the track or bouncing the entire project...

  • Different commitment item between FI/CO and FM

    hi,
    We have defined a commitment item group 506 and two sub commitment items 70 and 90 which are Directly postable in Former Budget Structure Template. And these sub commitment items was defined in the G/L account master record.
    We park FI documents all through using commitment items 70 and 90. But I find some Funds Center only commitment item group 506 displayed in Report FMRP_RFFMTO30X.
    Our DEV system have a client copy from PRD at 2008.6.1. In DEV system I find some Funds Center displayed commitment item 70 and 90 in Report FMRP_RFFMTO30X. That mean these commitment items is right before 2008.6.1, Some operates made budget controlling changed from 70 and 90 to 506.
    I want to know, which operates could make this and how can I revert.

  • Delete Rules between Logical Model and Relational Model are different

    Relation Properties in Logical model has three Delete Rules: "RESTRICT", "NO_ACTION", "SET NULL".
    1. "RESTRICT" and "NO_ACTION" are same
    2. "CASCADE" is missing.
    However, Foreign Key Properties in Physical model has three Delete Rules: "RESTRICT", "NO_ACTION", "CASCADE".
    1. "RESTRICT" and "NO_ACTION" are same
    2. "SET NULL" is missing in this case.
    They are supposed to have "NO_ACTION or RESTRICT", "SET NULL", and "CASCADE".
    Please fix this ASAP. It is really annoying in Engineering process. Modeler creates duplicate wrong relationships while it engineers.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    it seems you are not using the latest version 3.3. In earlier versions - delete rule set on relationship was used only in some cases to set delete rule on related foreign key. Now delete rule is transferred to FK as it's defined on relationship.
    I assume you are using Oracle database - "Restrict" doesn't appear anymore for Oracle.
    2. "SET NULL" is missing in this case.Most likely the foreign key is set as mandatory thus you cannot use "set null" as option.
    Modeler creates duplicate wrong relationships while it engineers.Can you elaborate on that - example?

  • How to Sync my Reminders items between my Iphone and MacBook without icloud ?

    Hello,
    I'm using Calendar and Reminders on my MacBook Pro Retina (ML)  and on my Iphone 4 (ISO 6).
    My calendar is properly synchronized but not my Reminders items.
    I found an option to Sync with Icloud but I don't use ICloud and i won't use ICloud.
    Am i getting old not to see a basic like this ?
    Bernard

    This is the most stupiest things ever.
    There is (should be) no way you force customers to use a service with privacy issues (saving my personal data on the open ????) to have something as basic as a todo list that can sync with several devices.
    I'm a loyal Apple user/evangelist/customer since 1985 (i still have a Lisa ! ) but my next phone will not be an Iphone if it is not possible to sync data without having to put it on the internet.
    Cheers
