Deleted my old iCloud account and Gmail address, now I can't sign into the new one on iPhone. HELP??

So I deleted my old Apple ID and the Gmail account it was connected to because I got hacked.
Now I want to connect my iPhone to my new iCloud account, but it is asking me to sign in to my old account first.
The password doesn't work because the account doesn't exist and I can't reset the password because the gmail account it is connected to doesn't exist either.
Please tell me there is some way past this.... it's very anoying.

If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) My ex partner set my iCloud account up in my name using my already existing itunes account. Since we have split he has been messing with it and locating me using his computer. I have tried to change my password but every time I select to change it via email I never receive the mail and I can't choose the secret question as he chose the question and answer originally. I have now got a new iPhone and would like to have a fresh iCloud account that only I can access using the same email, how can I do this? I would also like to erase the current one off my old iPhone and the backup on his computer but I can't personally access his computer, can I do that? It's quite important that I do because I don't want him having all my contacts and info anymore, it's a matter of safety for me.

You can not delete an existing account completely, but you could delete the contacts, etc. manually and then delete the account from your old device in "Settings > iCloud" and other accounts "Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > ..."
As Julian already posted (http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html) this explains the set up process for iCloud on a new iPhone/iPad/ipod touch. During the set up process you have the opportunity to create a new iCloud account. (But you can do it also create a new iCloud account after the usual iPhone set up in "Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > iCloud".)

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

3. Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't work, try these steps:
1. Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
2. Tap Settings > iCloud and try to sign out.
3. Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
4. Tap Settings > iCloud and sign in with the new Apple ID.
