Deleted my Time Machine Partition.. HELP!!! How can I recover the partition
So it all started with a bad bootcamp install. I was trying things to recover and accidentally deleted the partition on my external for my time machine backups, now I can not access the disk and so on. Does anyone know a good program that will allow me to recover that partition and the data within?
If I can not recover this partition, I am in trouble. Because the bunk bootcamp setup made me have to reinstall OSX 10.5 so now I don't have my data or the back up... any help please?
After the save of all the Time Machine data, I tried the browse option, and as you said no go, since the files are just in a folder on the main HD, and aren't a true TM formatted drive.
From some searches here, there is no way to merge the backups folder with a current time machine which would be a great feature to add.
So I have all of the files from the old TM disk, not sure how intact they are, but my guess is they are intact since there was no writing to the drive only the partition information was deleted, not written to, but I guess that really means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
So how do I go about extracting the true data from the Time Machine? What should I look to do. I can't find any true data in there, just databases and oddly named files.
One good point to windows and PC's if you back up and or store data, you store the data itself, not a database with everything in it. So if you fail like me, you can extract the files themselves.

The new machine has Mavericks which is fine. And I will leave it as is. I don’t want anything from my old machine other than 2 apps that I will need on the new one. I want to be able to install those apps that I bought from the App Store onto my new computer. I assume Apple doesn’t want me to have the apps installed on 2 machines at the same time so I wonder if just uninstalling them from my old machine will release them for re-install on the new one. -
my document.numbers can not be opened how can i recover the version from yesterday? i was not using time machine and it was not in icloud. is there an app i can buy that might help

I wish I could have told my sister about this as she could not open my homepage back before my new iWeb site. She now can open my site without the yet in case denial window does appear = I thank you.
I think my iWeb site works as Noone has said otherwise from any platform etc...

I do agree that should not have to be a consideration for any users so i agree that it would be great if Apple could allow simplicity to run seemlessly.
I have had this problem since Homepage, and here is
what has worked for me. I send out the link, and
then for PC users I send the link with "<" after the address (without quotation
marks. e.g., <http://site.com>).
I also put a note that if that doesn't work, to just
copy and paste the link into a browser. With that I
have only had 1 person say they still can't open.
Everyone else gets it to work.
It's a lot to do and seems like a hassle, but you get
used to it.

I am tring to installe OS X Mavericks. When I get to the select disk page it says that the HD is uesd as time machine drive. How can I remove time machine backup from my Mac.
Open up your Finder and click on Go on the top menu bar. Select Computer and then double click Macintosh HD. In here delete the backup folder. Might be called backups.backupdb.

Using Finder (deleting Time Machine backups) to manage Time Machine files is a mistake. The remedy is somewhat easy, but you will lose all the files on that TM drive.
If there is nothing elese on the Time Machine drive, try reformatting the drive with Disk Utility. This will effectively remove the files from that drive from the trash. If you have files on this drive, temporarily copy the files to another drive, then reformat the TM drive. -

How can i recover the deleted photos on my Xperia S ?
I deleted some photos carelessly a few days ago. Since i use the phone model is "Xperia S" which is use of interal storage hard disk (not have SD card select), i have tried use some of recovery software (like CardRecovery, Pandora Recovery) but since Xperia S connect the PC via USB only have Media Transfer Mode (MTP), the aforesaid software cannot detect my phone as an external driver and hence cannot recover any files. Sorry those pics might be gone, since you restored from your backup.
Only way possible if by some possibility you were able to backup your current data to itunes, then you can restore from that backup.
Open itunes - edit - preference - devices - backup - see if there is an up to date backup.
If you don't have one then sorry those pics are gone. -

Remember, if you ever want to find an app quickly, you can slide all the way to the left (iOS 6 and lower) or pull down (iOS 7 and later) to get to an app.
If you know for certain that you have deleated the app, please try restarting your phone. There are many ways to do this, but the safest way would be to hold down the power button and then slide to power down.
Once powered down, restart and try to find the icon on your screen. If you still can't find it, go into the App Store and then find the app you were trying to access. It should have an iCloud download symbol since you've purchased it before, rather than saying "install." -

I downloaded an Adobe file from my email (service provider is MWeb) but now cannot find it on my hard drive and it's not in the recycle bin. It does, however, appear in Firefox downloads but I'm unable to open it from there. How can I recover the file?

i had a power mac g4 into which i put 3, 320 gb PATA hard drives in a raid slice config so that it worked as one drive needless to sat that i lost the g4 to a surge but the drives are good. now i have an imac, how can i recover the info off those drives. can i put the drives in external cases and plug them all in, will the imac see them as a raid slice then help please
Before you have another accident:
Buy a UPS of good quality and sufficient to your needs.
I would have to assume that the drives were connected to a PCI PATA card, hopefully. Otherwise, well RAID and having drives on the same bus (master and slave).
And no backup, none at all...
Get your hands on a G4.
Data Rescue 3 from Prosoft maybe.
If they were SATA and running on PCI SATA controller, very popular and common really in G4s, more options would be open. -
