Deleted node SMTP in TCode Scot

hello everyone!!!
I need help solving a problem.
This is that while trying to configure SMTP in the "TCode SCOT" they eliminated nodes "SMTP" when trying to create a new tells me "STMP node already exists."
It is possible to re-create the "SMTP 'or create this service under a new name.
thanks

I was shaping the "SMTP", the node removed by mistake!

Is it possible to retrieve or create a node under another name performing the same function?

  • Configure the tcode SCOT and SMTP for the SPM module in the R/3

    Hello,
I want to know if I have to configure the tcode SCOT and SMTP for the SPM module (SAP GRC AC 5.3 SP5) in the R/3 if I want to send information toe the owner & controller.
    Best Regards.
    Pablo Mortera.

    Pablo,
This would normally be a basis function. Be very careful as this is not specific to GRC.
This will impact any external notifications using email / fax etc.
It will also depend on your version and infrastructure.
If you have web application servers, you will be able to do a lot more than if you have standard (older) application servers.
You need to create a node under the INT and assign the appropriate tcp / ip rfc connection to direct it to your email server.
You will then need to define the types of communications to be sent via that method and any appropriate email domain settings.
You also need to create and set the appropriate send jobs to run periodically which will then automatically call the rfcs to process the waiting documents.

  • Help needed in deleting nodes from RAC database

Our DB is 10g RAC database and the servers are Window 2003 server. Initially the database was configured to have 4 nodes. For some reason we stopped the instances in the first two nodes and the current database is running on node3 and node4. I queried the v$thread view and it shows 3 records. Thread 2 is closed and disabled. Thread 3 is open and public and thread 4 is open and private. Now we need to disconnect nodes 1 and 2 from RAC db and cluster ware (We use Oracle cluster ware) and plan to use those two servers for other purposes. Although I read through the Oracle doc regarding deleting node from RAC “11 Adding and Deleting Nodes and Instances on Windows-Based Systems” and wrote down the steps we need to take but I am still not comfortable in doing it since it is production env and we don’t have any dev env to practice those steps. So I would like to borrow your experiences and your lessons learned while you were doing those. Please share your thoughts and insights with us.
Thank you so much for your help,
    Shirley

what's your full version? I can warn about specific issues in 10.1.0.3 and 10.2.0.1 - for example, in some cases (depending on how the listener was configured), it will be impossible to delete the listener for the deleted node. Known bug.
To avoid many many known bugs, you may want to upgrade to at least 10.2.0.2 before removing a node (from my experience, this is the first stable RAC version).
In any case, deleting a node is a rather delicate process. I really really recommend practicing. Take any pc/laptop, install VMWARE, define two virtual machines, install RAC and remove one node. It will take you an extra day or two, and could save your production.

  • I deleted nodes with the web developer and the deletion has become permanent. How to undo?

I was trying to remove all the "Recommended Pages" etc. garbage on the right-hand side of Facebook and got a little click happy with 'delete nodes' using the Web Dev tools - as cathartic as it was! :)
Now it seems as though I have broken FB on Firefox (seems to work fine on IE, surprisingly) as pics seem to be missing and the left-hand menu as well - but, of course the stuff I was trying to rid myself of comes back just fine ... sigh.
I've read that all changes are supposed to be temporary until you restart the browser but this hasn't helped at all and I did try unchecking the 'Use hardware acceleration when available' that I read somewhere else, to no avail.
Any assistance that can be rendered would be very much appreciated.
For the record, I've learned my lesson and won't futz around with this anymore! :)

For a node deletion in the Inspector tool, revert that by reloading the page. If that isn't working for you, you could try Command+Shift+r to reload the page bypassing the cache.
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox Profile Folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
HT > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

  • Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to connection error (final)

    HI Gurus,
we are gewtting the following error inour test client in SOST transaction. Can someboyd please thriw soem light on how to resolve this?
Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to connection error (final)
    Message no. XS816
    Diagnosis
Due to a technical fault, the system could not set up a connection to the RFC destination Check port and mail server for SMTP nodes. Therefore, the message could not be transferred to node SMTP.
    System Response
The system was unable to transfer the message.
Additional information of the node used (in the system language of the node):
    Procedure
Check the connection from SAP system to node SMTP. Perhaps the node is not assigned to the correct RFC destination. If so, correct this in Customizing.
Otherwise use RFC destination management to check the RFC connection to destination Check port and mail server for SMTP nodes.
If R/3 is in productive operation, it is advisable to reroute provisionally to another node.
You should therefore notify your system administrator.
    Thanks
    Anusa

Yes i completely agree, but we wanted to test this process by putting our own email addresses in the vendor master and then also maintinaing the condition records to make sure that the email are coming fine. I guess it was working until some time, but then yesterday i noticed this error message in our test client. Somehow we need tthis to get working so that we can get the signoff from the business and that this can be moved to production
    Thanks

Why it is not able to delete the last two node elements ????????????????//
Also any other way is there to  delete  elements of the node?
    Srini

    Hi srinivasa,
You have used the code to delete the element
    for(int i=0;i<5;i++)
    try{
    wdContext.nodeSample().removeElement(wdContext.nodeSample().getSampleElementAt(i));
    wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("Deleted : "+ i+"");
    catch(Exception e)
    wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess(e.getMessage()" : " i+"");
Now.. See getSampleElementAt(i) method returns the element of i th element. On that case you have to use
getSampleElementAt(0). In that case it wiil return 0ih element end 0th element will be deleted. After deletion the 0th element 1st element will move to the 0th position.
So. in that way you can delete all the elements.

  • I deleted my smtp info for gmail on Mail

    Hello Everyone,
I deleted my SMTP information for my gmail account in Mail. I am unable to now send emails with my gmail account while in Mail. Can someone please help me?

You may wish to go to Mail > Accounts from Mail's menu and consider deleting your gmail account.
Whether you do that or not (I think you should), then click "Google" on the right side and re-add your account.

  • Urgent!!!! Add/Delete nodes

    Hi Friends!
How to add/delete nodes at any level and update the base table whenever I add/delete nodes to the tree?
    Thanks

There are 2 kinds of XML parsers : SAX and DOM. DOM seems to suit your need. You can use JAXP APIs to add, delete or change nodes or attributes.
http://java.sun.com/webservices/jaxp/dist/1.1/docs/tutorial/TOC.html provides contents that would satisfy most of the needs.
To save a DOM modified XML file use java IO APIs to write to the same file from which it was read using a Document object ( doc.getNodeValue() ).

  • Settings reqd in TCode SCOT to configure SMTP

    Hi,
I am in the process of configuring SMTP. I have done all the ICM settings and settings in TCode SICF.
This is an external SMTP server and to be able to use it as a smtp server there is master username and password. For this case in SCOT do I have to use the default SMTP node or create a new node of type RFC?
Can any one please guide me further configuration steps.
    Thank you,
    sam

    Hi,
    Note 455140 - Configuration E-mail, fax, paging/SMS via SMTP
    1. System user
In each client of an SAP system, a system user must be created to process the incoming messages. To do this, use transaction SU01 to create a user of the type "system" and assign the "S_A.SCON" profile to this user.
    2. In transaction SU01, enter the Internet mail address of a user in the "E-Mail" field under "Address".
    3. Client assignment (transaction SICF)
    a. In the Logon data (SAPconnect) Provide the client and the user created.
    b. Activate the node SAPconnect.
    4. SCOT
    a. Use the default SMTP node.
    b. check the check box (Node in use) in "General Information".
    c. Provide the Mail host in "SMTP Connection".
    d. click on internet in "Support Address types".
    e. provide a * in "Address area".
    f. For "Output Formats for SAP Documents" the following is recommended:
       SAPscript / Smart Forms       PDF
       ABAP List                            HTM
       Business Object / Link          HTM
       RAW Text                             TXT
    5. Default domain in SCOT.
The domain of this SAP system client is defined here, for example, crm-prod.company.com. It is used for the following purposes: The SMTP plug-in logs on to the mail server with the domain as ID. The message ID of outgoing mails is compiled with this domain. If an SAP user who has not entered an Internet mail address in their user master record sends an e-mail, a sender address is generated from the SAP user name and this domain, for example [email protected].
    In Menu
    settings --> Default Domain.
    e.g crm-prod.company.com
    6. Send job
E-mails that are sent from an SAP application are merely put into a queue. A periodically running background process, the SAPconnect send job, takes the e-mails from the queue and sends them via the Internet. This job can be scheduled from SAPconnect administration as follows:
"View" --> "Jobs". Check whether a job is already scheduled (displayed as a calendar icon).
Choose "Job" --> "Create", and specify a job name.
Place the cursor on the "SAP&CONNECTALL" variant and choose "Schedule Job".
    Choose "Schedule periodically".
Specify a time interval (for example 10 minutes) and choose "Create".
    Thanks,
    Tanuj

  • Settings of Mail Host and Mail Port in transaction: SCOT for the node: SMTP

    Hi,
Could anyone please explain me the significance of Mail Host and Mail Port for the SMTP node in transaction: SCOT.
It says Mail Server to which outbound mails can be passed.
Can i specify my GMAIL ID in the field Mail Host and left blank the Mail Port so that the mail can be sent to my GMAIL Account.
Please let me know if further details are required from my side.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Goutham.

the below are the step to  configure  your  mail server  of anhy type ....
    Steps to perform in SAP:
    1. Transaction SM59 – Setup an RFC Destination for the execution of the email transfer
    a. Name: Internet Mail Gateway
    b. Connection Type: T
    c. Description: Internet Mail Gateway
    d. Activation Type: Start
    e. Explicit host:
    i. Program: c:<dir>mlunxsnd (I used c:sapmail)
    ii. Target Host: <Server_Name>
    f. (MENU) Destination -> Gateway Options
    i. Gateway Host: < Server_Name>
    ii. Gateway Service: sapgw00
    iii.<OK>
    g. SAVE
    2. Transaction SCOT – Setup a default domain for your system
    a. (MENU) Settings -> Default Domain
    i. <Default_domain> (i.e. [email protected], Domain – company.com)
ii. This setting gives a default to any user who does not have their email address maintained in the system. <user_name>@<default_domain>
    3. Transaction SCOT – Setup of the Node for queuing the emails before transfer to Exchange
    a. Click on “INT” -> Create button
    b. Give Default name (I choose EXCHG, as this was the node type for the Exchange Connector)
    c. Give Description
    d. Assign the RFC Destination previously created (Internet Mail Gateway)
    e. Node: “Internet”
    f. Address area: *
    g. Supported address Types:
    i. All formats except the fllw
ii. ALI, OBJ, OTF, SCR, URL
    h. Choose Ok and Save
    4. Transaction SCOT – Setup a job to execute the send process on the queue.
    a. (MENU) View -> Jobs
    i. Select the Create Button
    ii. Job Name: SAPConnect
iii. Put Cursor on Variant: SAP&CONNECTINT *As you created an INT Node, you need to run the variant for all of the INT sending. You can select SAP&CONNECTALL, but if you are not using any other node types, you can run with SAP&CONNECTINT.
    iv. Select: Schedule Job Button
    v. Schedule job for a periodic run – approx. every 15 minutes
    vi. Save
    5. Transaction SU01 – Maintain each user’s email address
    a. Select users who require the ability to email from SAP
    b. Under the address tab, in SU01, maintain their email address.
Steps to perform on the SAP system (operating System):
    1. Create a directory for the SAP programs.
    a. Create directory c:sapmail (Directory can be anything)
    b. Unpack the ML*.CAR file from SAP’s website
    c. Alternatively, copy the ML* files from /usr/sap/../run/ directory. This ensures version compatibility with your SAP instance.
    2. Create the directories for your “sendmail” program
    a. http://emailrelay.sourceforge.net/
    i. Download the emailrelay program
    b. Create directory c:winntspoolemailrelay
    i. Unpack the contents of the emailrelay zip into this directory
    c. create Directory c:reskit (Used to make the emailrelay program run as a service
    i. http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=197
    1. www.tacktech.com had some great instructions for creating a service on the NT side. (Thank you Tacktech)
    2. Use SRVANY to create the services, as documented below.
    d. Open command prompt
    e. Follow instructions for creating a service
    i. cd reskit
    ii. execute c:reskitinstsrv.exe "<SERVICE_NAME_Engine>" c:reskitsrvany.exe
    1. This service is the “engine”
    iii. execute c:reskitinstsrv.exe "<SERVICE_NAME_Send_Process>" c:reskitsrvany.exe
    1. This service is the “send process”
iv. Modify the registry to represent the two new services
    v. View instructions for Parameters and Application Creation under the services in the registry
vi. Command lines should be as follows:
    1. <SERVICE_NAME_Engine> - c:winntspoolemailrelayemailrelay.exe --as-server --no-daemon
    2. <SERVICE_NAME_Send_Process> - c:winntspoolemailrelayemailrelay.exe --no-daemon –-hidden --forward-to (your_mailhost):SMTP --poll 5

  • How to Delete Nodes in XI 3.0

We have 2 type of Nodes:-
    IMAIL
    SMTP
I want to delete SMTP notes, but its give me an error notes cannot be deleted or copied
even i tried that client 000, and IMAIL can be deleted easly....
    Please advise
    thanks

You select the part you want to highlight with the mouse(cursor), then you can either press Ctrl+M or click on the button in the top part. You can also write a note on the highlight part.
Thats the bad part about DE, you can not apropriate edit your book. Thats terrible for study books, where different colors for highlight and underlines would be great. Hey Adobe team, remember that for the next versions.

  • Using Java, How can I Update, Add, Delete nodes in XML Files.

    Hi,
I want to store the student record (like Name, Age, school name, total mark etc.,) as nodes in the XMLfile. Also I should able to Update, Add, Delete any nodes (student record) in the XML file. How can I achieve this...using Java
I am able to read the content of the xml file using xml-parser. But my problem is
    updating the xml file.
pls suggest some solutions or links with " example source code"
    Thanks :-)

There are 2 kinds of XML parsers : SAX and DOM. DOM seems to suit your need. You can use JAXP APIs to add, delete or change nodes or attributes.
http://java.sun.com/webservices/jaxp/dist/1.1/docs/tutorial/TOC.html provides contents that would satisfy most of the needs.
To save a DOM modified XML file use java IO APIs to write to the same file from which it was read using a Document object ( doc.getNodeValue() ).

  • How do you delete outgoing (SMTP) servers???

Due to the fact many SMTP servers require you to be on their network to login, I have at varioius times set up 3 different SMTP servers in the mail app setup. The mail app never forgets them once you set them up. It even remembers multiple copies of the same SMTP server where I just tried different settings/passwords. The mail app adds all these SMTP accounts (I now have 7 including "other SMTP servers") when I only set up one after deleting the account and starting over. Worse yet, these 7 represent only 3 unique servers and when it's trying to test the outgoing (SMTP) server at setup, it takes forever while it tests all 7 apparently.
Deleting mail account doesn't get rid of these SMPT servers. Resetting iPhone doesn't work because it restores them from from backup in iTunes. There should be some way to get mail app to forget every server/name/password combination you have ever entered when trying to get connected to an outgoing server.
Lest anyone think this is unecessary, keep in mind you can't send from home via cmwx server if you get bad cell coverage. You can't send away from home if you are off your home network, and you can't send from a hotel room with wi-fi access if you have no cell coverage. I fianlly set up a mail account that can be connected to from anywhere, but now I can't get rid of all the rest!

Seems that the only way to clear them out would be to perform a Restore in iTunes and set up as a new phone (not from backup). Note that this is also the only way to clear out the email address autofill list (and that one affects a lot more people than the SMTP server list, I'm sure).
