Deleted Operating system
I seem to have deleted my mac's operating system. I tried using internet recovery but it keeps giving me an error - 2002F
Please I need help.

Otherwise use your original system disk or a non machine install disk, go to utilities and see what "Disk Utility" says.

Why does the new operating system not delete the moved files from their original locations - it seems like an enormous waste of space, time and effort to clean up every file once you've moved it - also, when transferring large amounts of files it becomes a very large problem remembering which files were transferred and which not.
You're going to need to be more specific, as I'm not quite sure I understand what you're talking about.
If you're referring to copying from an external hard drive or flash drive, and you want to actually move files rather than copy them, you can hold down the option key to force it to do a "move" rather than a "copy." This is not new behavior, though... the Mac OS has worked this way as long as I can recall (and I've been using it since 1984).
If you're having a problem with trying to move files from one place to another on a single drive causing them to be copied instead, that is likely because of some permissions issue preventing you from actually being able to move them. -
I have a Vista operating system with 2 users. Somehow I got two diffent libraries for the users. How can I delete the one and then access the correct library on the other users profile?
Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -

If the Snow Leopard version on your Snow Leopard DVD is lower than the Snow Leopard version on your computer, you will NOT in any case be able to re-install the OS the way you want it. You will only be able to erase your disk and then reinstall the OS.
It will only "upgrade" and keep your files if the Mac OS X version of your Snow Leopard DVD is newer than the Snow Leopard version on your computer. -
After upgrading the new operating system on my Droid Razr M it seems some useful features no longer work such as when typing a message the text anticipates the next word and when trying to delete individual messages from a contact, you can no longer tap and hold to select multiple message you have to delete them individually or the entire thread. Is there a way to get these back?
Well, that's kind of embarrassing. And I honestly thought I paid attention to that... It works perfectly now, thank you so much!
As expected, cdm-git also works fine since DMs only work in the root mode as of now.
Just for the record, both type commands output "/usr/bin/startx" and pacman -Q gives "systemd 215-4".

The Creative Cloud application becomes inoperable continually on both my Windows 7 and 8.1 operating systems. I'm tired of re installing the application after deleting the OOBE file to get updates and syn settings between computers for Photoshop. Is this an endemic problem with others? I'm using Google Chrome as my browser. Is this an issue with the problem?
Similar problem just happened to me with the Creative Cloud Update 1.7.1.418—slightly different so I thought I'd share. I have multiple Adobe Creative Cloud programs installed on my computer, all working just fine. I updated the Cloud App to the latest version and then it shows me that I have only one program installed! All my previously installed programs (Photoshop and the like) still work but show as "install" instead of "Up to date". Initially I thought I'd have to re-install the Cloud app or recreate the OPM data base but then I noticed that some of the Cloud app preferences (Apps > Settings > App Language) were different to what I had set previously. I use English (International) language, the update had reverted the app back to English (North American). I flicked back to my previous language and bam, all my apps now show as being installed correctly.

I have Windows 7 Enterprise Professional, accessed earlier from (now deleted) other dual boot operating system (User folder), which shows it's users as unknowns for folder properties in Windows 7 Enterprise Professional's "C:\Users\Aniruddha",
which causes system not responding, how to 'Remove' these unknown users from folder properties of "C:\Users\Aniruddha"?

Whether a standby user with same file structure copied from a user would dynamically link it's shortcut folders with Windows user from whom these folders were copied or whether there would be no link and for above said problem I would restore User's file structre
back to normal just by copying from standby user?It seems your PC is infected with some malware. Use a trusted antivirus software with the latest definition updates installed to scan and remove the malware.

i have deleted my private folder and do not have enough space to reinstall my operating system. How can i transfer files from my hard drive to an USB drive to free up space when the operating system isn't working. or do i need to erase disk through disk utilities without erasing data (but will it delete my programs such as photoshop, office, creative suite?
Connect the computer to another Mac and put it in FireWire Target Disk mode, or use the Disk Utility to clone the drive or image specific folders with the USB drive as the target. After you've copied off everything you want, you'll likely need to erase the drive and reinstall the applications.

I had to delete everything on my computer and install the operating system again , but I had to install Snow Leopard because it was the cd that came with the computer when I bought it. The problem is that I had already paid for the OS Lion and even had upgraded to the Mavericks . I do not think it's fair to have to pay again and I would like to upgrade my operating system without having to pay again for the same system.

It sounds like you are trying to upgrade your Mac to a newer version of OS X, after completing a fresh install of Snow Leopard.
If you have already purchased and downloaded OS X Lion and Mavericks, you should be able to find these items in the Purchased section of the Mac App Store.

Deleting e-mail is slow with IPhone 1 and 2.0 operating system
Since my IPhone 1 was updated to the 2.0 operating system, when I delete an e-mail from the Inbox, my IPhone will hang up for a few to as many as 30 seconds. During that time I can do nothing else. I am using the "Delete" confirmation as I have in the past. any solution?

I have deleted all my bookmarks from firefox sync by error on reintalling operating system. Is there any way to recover it? I have all bookmarks saved on "Firefox Home" on my iPod. Can I extract bookmarks from "Firefox Home" to my computer? Thanks

How do I delete the Snapfish Plug-In from iPhoto 11 in the Lion Operating System?
I installed the Snapfish Plug-In for my iPhoto '11. Unfortunately, it no longer works as Snapfish has been unable to figure out how to make it compatible with iPhoto and my operating system, Lion. I would like to delete the plug in so when I go to export files out of iPhoto, the option to export to Snapfish is not even an option.
Thanks!Did you Look in your User/Library. In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
It's called Snapfish.iPhotoExporter. Download and run Find Any File to search for it. FAF can search areas of the hard drive, like invisible folders, packages (applications), etc., that Spotlight. -
2 operating systems - can i delete one
Hey.
Just a quick question: I have two operating systems on my computer. A few months back I reinstalled Leopard thinking of getting a program off it (and not thinking of downloading it off the apple website) and now I have 2 operating systems on my hard drive, both with work (documents etc) on them that i don't want deleted. I was just wondering if i could delete one without losing the work on it. I don't understand operating systems - for all i know, saved documents etc might be separate from it and won't be affected.

It's a Quicken file & I was able to open same. Not used often & the copy in my documents wouldn't open, but it did in the Quicken app that's friendly with Mountain Lion. Learned something new today!
