Deleted OSX partition after installing windows
I installed windows 8 in bootcamp, everything was fine and working properly. I have now deleted the osx partition and was wondering if i ever wanted it back could i use the internet recovery to do so, as i don't have a disk or anything that came with my mbp 15" 2014?

The article linked below provides further information regarding OS X Recovery and Internet Recovery. In the event that the existing Recovery partition is removed or damaged, Internet Recovery can be invoked via CMD + Option + R at boot.

Hi, currently I'm having 2 partition: Macintosh HD - Lion (~680GB) and Bootcamp - Windows 7 (~60GB). Now I want to take ~600GB from the 1st partition to create a FAT32 data storage. My question is: is it possible to do so without reinstalling any OS?
Do not add a partition after BootCamp. BootCamp manipulates the boot-sector of a Mac disk to allow dual-booting. But manually adding a third partition will break that tenuous multi-boot balance.
Many threads posted by people who need to restore OSX from a backup and lose their BootCamp data due to system instability attest to the tourble you can cause.
Buy an external drive and use that for FAT32 (or EXFAT to allow files larger than 4 GB) storage. -

Insert your OS X install disc and restart holding the C key, hold it down until you see the Apple logo and spinning gear. Choose your language and at the next screen from the top menu bar select Utilities-Disk Utility. Select your internal hard drive, click on the Partition tab and select 1 partition. Click on the Options button and select GUID partition scheme. Click OK. Choose to format the drive as Mac OS Extended Journaled. When Disk Utility is done and your drive is properly partitioned and formatted quit DU and go back to the installer screen and reinstall OS X. When you're up and running run software update a couple times to get everything up to date as far as you can with 10.5.8. After installing windows 7 with boot camp I am no longer able to access my osx side, I do not receive an option when holding alt when turning on my MacBook
What options do you get? If you don't get any options then you may not be pressing and holding the option key long enough or you are pressing it too early or too late.

How can I partition internal HDD after installing Windows 7 Professional via Boot Camp 4.0?
I recently purchased MacBook Pro 13" (Late 2011) model with OS X v10.7.2 Lion installed. I've upgraded to OS X v10.7.3 Lion and updated all other software.
I require Windows 7 for some Windows based softwares that do not support Mac OS X. Therefore, used Boot Camp 4.0 to install Windows 7 and then tried partitioning single internal HDD to have 3 partitions (4 total including BOOTCAMP partition). Disk Utility created a 648.5MB partition and then I was able to create 3 other partitions of custom sizes. After applying these changes, I got an error message that said selected volume size is too small. I resized this 648.5MB partion to a custom size and had total 4 partitions, including BOOTCAMP.
After reapplying these changes, BOOTCAMP partition was removed and I was left with only 3 partitions and empty space.
I've tried several different ways to partition the disk, all in vein. Is there a way I can partition my single internal HDD after installing Windows 7 Professional via Boot Camp 4.0?You can't do what you want with GUI utilities, which will only allow a total of 4 partitions due to the limitation of MBR needed to support Windows. Those four partitions: EFI System (hidden), Mac OS, Recovery HD (hidden), Windows. So with Lion, you only get two visible partitions if you're going to use Windows with BootCamp. You can't make anymore with the included graphical tools.
If you need more partitions you'll need to use something like GPT fdisk (gdisk) to create the partitions in the GPT first. Then add the Windows partition only to the MBR and flag it as bootable. gdisk can be googled and downloaded for Mac OS X off sourceforge. It is not a GUI tool.

Do I need to install boot camp on Windows 7 as well as on Lion? I already installed it some years ago on Leopard when installing Windows Vista on my Macbook Pro. But now after installing Windows 7, many things in windows doesn't work (sound etc.). I made a clean installation because I needed to go from 32 bit to 64 bit.

Lion's Boot Camp Assistant 4.x should have downloaded Apple drivers as part of also partitioning.
You need Apple drivers. And you then need to add on your own audio driver.

I have Downloaded Windows XP/Vista 32 Bit ISO format and burned it on my DVD through Disk utility.I can install windows successfully but when it restarted then it gives that message.However I am able to locate windows hard drive after holding the Option Key and when I choose the windows HDD (BootCamp),It gives me same error.
I started the installation in osx using boot camp, and the windows was completely installed, even the boot camp driver for windows was installed and there are options to restart into either windows or mac osx.
But when I restart the machine and choose to go into windows, it just can not boot, saying no bootable device. If I insert the installation disc into the drive, then I restart and go to windows, it can boot successfully.
Please Help.

Reinstalling Mavericks depends on several factors:
if you erased your recovery partition
what OS originally came on your Mac.
I'll assume you don't have a backup available that you made before your mishap, because you didn't mention it.
That's really the take home message here: have a backup!
If you still have your recovery partition:
boot into the recovery partition (command R at restart)
use the recovery partition to reinstall Mavericks. see: OS X: About OS X Recovery
if you do not still have your recovery partition, then it depends on whether your Mac originally came with installer disks or not.
If it originally came with installer disks, you would boot from the installer disks, erase your HD, and then reinstall the OS that is on the installer disks, and then upgrade as necessary until you get to Mavericks.
If your mac did not originally come with installer disks, but you managed to erase your recovery partition, then you can try to boot into internet recovery (option-command-R at restart), and use internet recovery to erase your HD and reinstall the OS that originally came with your computer, and then upgrade to Mavericks if you need to. Very slow to start mac os after instaling Windows thru bootcamp
Hello. After installing Windows 7 using bootcamp, my mac became a lot slower to start mac os lion. I have filevault enabled, and it is taking a lot of seconds to display the filevault login screen.
It is also taking a lot of time to detect my magic mouse. Sometimes I need to turn of and on the mouse a lot of times to get it detected. This process usally takes minutes.

Partitioning and Installing Windows 7 with Mac OS X Lion

after failing seriously with the partitioning after installing Win 7, I hope that I will find some help from the scratch...
I want to install OS X Lion with Win 7.
3 Partitions with Mac are needed and 1 fro Windows.
I got 750Gb on my Mac Book Pro.
Disk should look like this:
100Gb Main Partition (Mac)
200Gb Documents Partition (Mac)
300Gb Stuff and Games (Mac)
150Gb Windows 7 Partition
I tried now to create a 100Gb Partition for Mac and a 150Gb Partition for Windows 7.
After Installing the Mac OS, I was trying to add the 2 other Partitions, but it already telling me that i'm gonna loose my Windows Boot when I change the Partitions. I pressed ok and restarted with the windows 7 DVD for the recovery, which wasn't working due to version incompability -.- (I installed Windows from that DVD)
What steps should I make to get this to work? Some guys says that it not gonna work, but a friend of min has 3 mac partitions and a windows. Sadly he can't remember the way to this setup

Advanced Network: Proxy Settings, I uncheck "Auto Proxy detection" and make sure you have the interface you use selected and none others.
"Go into System Preferences - Network - Advanced - Proxies Uncheck "Auto Proxy Discovery", click OK, Apply"
After Unchecking "Auto Proxy Discovery" I also had to Uncheck "Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)" and then Restart Boot Camp Assistant.
odiggy's comment and tried restarting Boot Camp Assistant. That did the trick, even though the Auto Proxy Discovery checkbox ended up the same as it started. Windows support software is now downloading... if you're downloading to an external drive make sure there's a least 1 GB of free space because the WindowsSupport folder is around 700 MB (format as FAT and MBR).

Also, Change Domain Name Servers to OpenDNS IP address servers - that should be at the router firewall rather than the OS but may be in both for some people. You may be using the defaults your ISP uses, save those if you want, and try these:

I upgraded my system to windows 7 ultimate from Vista and installed itunes 64px. but when I copy the old itunes folder into D://music and opened itunes, all my music cannot be played. each link shows the mp3 location as: file://localhost/D://music/itunes... ... please help me!!!!!!!! >_<Was that Win 7 update from Lenovo, or Microsoft? If Lenovo, it should have installed those missing features. If it was from Microsoft, you have to manually install the Lenovo drivers and software.
The easiest way to do that is to first install ThinkVantage System Update and run it. It should download and install the other drivers and apps. I'm running Win 7 pro 64 on my T400 - a MS upgrade clean install, then TVSU installed the Lenovo stuff. Everything works.
Use the "SUPPORT" button at the top of this page, then "Download drivers and software" enter T400, install TVSU and you should be off to the races.

Problems accessing osx partition when in windows
Hi!
I've been running bootcamp with windows xp to play game's as smoothly as possible for some time.
Until this day it has been working really great with MacDrive as a way to get access to the osx partition when im in windows.. But suddenly, after doing the firmware update this morning, i cant access the osx partition when in windows, actually, windows cant find the partition at all anymore.. This is a problem since all my games are on the osx partition. Could it be the firmware update that did it, or is there something wrong with the windows partition? And finally, how can i fix this?

Apple TV wont play content unless connected to the Internet
I have added a few movies of my own, when I loose my Internet connection then, none of my content Purchased from Itunes or imported myself will not play on my ATV? The reason to own this is so when your Internet is down, you can still be entertained.

Images not importing properly.
When importing some of the images have a warning triangle indicating that LR is having trouble reading the photo. Subsequently the rendering of the 1:1 previews stalls.
