Deleted Pacakges Still Sending to Secondary Sites

I deleted several large packages of software updates that had not yet completed sending to secondary sites, and now the sender is clogged sending these packages. How can I purge these deleted packages from the sender?
I should have canceled them since we are running 2012 R2, I have learned that lesson the hard way.

If they are actually in progress transferring, then there's nothing you can do except wait it out.

I have a User complaining that they are receiving Outlook Meeting requests from their old Boss. The boss left the company months ago and no longer has active directory account or mailbox. Help!!

    Hi,
It's really weird that your old boss should have been unable to send the meeting requests. To diagnose the problem, would you please paste the Internet headers here?
Open the request -> FILE -> Properties -> Internet headers.

  • Delete Secondary site 2012 R2

    Hi,
Past week, I deleted a secondary site from our hierachy again and as usual it failed.
I triggered the uninstallation from the console and selected "uninstall" (no delete). After a few hours, I could see in the logfile on the secondary siteserver that the site got uninstalled successfully. But the console keeps showing "DELETING"
and the last "show installat status" log entry is "data removed from database.
I have already run the preinst.exe /DELSITE S04 but then I get an error:
    D:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\X64\00000409>preinst.exe /DELSITE S04
Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager v5.00 (Build 7958)
      Copyright (C) 2011 Microsoft Corp.
Cannot find site [S04] in the site control data in the database. Checking in Ser
    verData in the database.
    Failed to execute SQL query
I've added my account as full administrator into SCCM but still no luck. Primary site server also has been rebooted, no change.
    So 3 questions:
    - How do I get rid of this site? (I can only think of changing the site status in the database to make the delete option available again, but don't like that)
    - Are we doing something wrong deleting a site, because it is never a click on a button... Is there a procedure to follow?
    - Is the command preinst.exe /delsite "SecSiteCode xxx" correct because in 2007 the syntax was preinst.exe /delsite "SecSitecode" "PriSitecode"
    Thanks

Found a way to uninstall the Secondary Site manually on the Secondary Site itself.
    Run CMD as elevated C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\X64\SETUP /DEINSTALL
Review the ConfigMgrSetup.log file to check whether uninstallation has been completed successfully or not.

    Try this...
have a text convo with the person you want to delete. Go to the top contact in the text convo, hit edit contact, and delete that contact.

  • Why does IE8 running on XP and Win7 Virtual Machine deletes the history while I'm still browsing the same site with client-side hashbang routing?

    Hello,
I have a asp.net mvc 5 web application running on .net 4.5 hosted on my local windows 8 machine on macbook pro using parallels. I'm running Internet Explorer 8 Version: 8.0.6001.18702 running on XP and Version: 8.0.7601.17514 running on Windows 7 Enterprise.
I've got both of the virtual machine source from www.modern.ie
My web application is attempting to provide single page user experience by having some client-side routing by using '#!/xxx' hashbangs in the url so that I can get and post via ajax and change the hash in  the url without causing the page to reload. My
code works fine in IE9+ and other modern browsers.
However, I'm facing this strange issue in both of the IE8 versions. When running my demo app in IE8, I can login, view home page and can navigate from this home page to many details page. From the very first login page, all the pages are the result
of form's post action via ajax which then expects html from server and loads in the DOM. The page structure of my app is like summary form => Details page (can also contain summary forms) => Details...so on.
The above process works fine for few of the navigation steps. If I keep navigating from one page to another & go back, I have observed that the browser back button is removing the history items slowly. And a time comes when it totally forgets about
all the history pages that I visited to reach this current page I'm viewing!! It treats like I have just started my browsing session and this current page is the first page I've landed on with no back option. Now if I again try to navigate, I have encountered
problems like both the back and forward buttons gets disabled.
Hope, my words above is clear enough to explain this problem. The same application works fine in IE9+ and other browsers.
Till now, I have tried following steps on both VMs:
    Resetting IE8.
Increasing disk space to 1024mb for temporary internet files storage.
Setting 'Never' for Check for newer versions of stored pages.
Disabling the automatic crash recovery feature didn't helped in this case. Found this on support website.
Deleted temporary files, history, cache, etc many a times.
Search many forums, posted question on StackOverflow, ASP.NET
    Forums - but didn't helped.
Tried 'beforeunload' event of browser to see if any of the page is reloading because of submit or any other reason. But the page doesn't reload at all.
The issue is browser forgets about the browsing history while I'm still browsing the same site.
Is there any possible fix for the issue above? Does IE8 have any issues as many ajax form post is happening on every page?

I have really tried many things to identify any possible reason of the issue above. Even rewrote all my javascript navigation code and checked server-side code.
But the only place where I got the solution is at site: http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/bugs.asp which states that there is a bug in IE8 which reads like:
IE0012: IE Travellog broken when navigating back/away from a page with
a large POST form If there is a form input field with a value longer
than 523,659 characters, when you navigate away from the page, IE may
clear the current session's travellog (similar to history), disabling
the back and forward buttons. Repros in IE6 & IE7.
There are following solutions that you can go for:
    - Check for the input field that has lots of characters as mentioned above and solve your problem.
    - If you have control over the system where IE8 will be used, you can add the following registry key on that machine. There is no existing key, so, you need to add a new one:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TravelLog] "MaxSize"=dword:ffffffff
I am really relaxed to find this information as I spent really long time to solve this issue. Hope this will help someone.

  • Impacts on the DPs when deleting a secondary site

    HI,
I am having problems with a secondary site and the recovery with CU2 is not working for me. I am at the point of deleting the site, rebuild the server and reinstall the Secondary Site.
My question is, What will happen to all my DPs which are assigned to the SS site code I am about to blow away? Will I need to rebuild the DPs or will they find the site if I use the same site code.
    Thx Rob

    Why delete the site?
I would go for the following procedure:
    - Backup content library
    - Rebuild the server (same name)
    - Restore content library
    - Install SQL (same version/instance)
    - Site Administration > Recover Secondary Site
Once the site has been recovered it should sync with the remote DP's again as before.

I change phones and i am not getting regular txt messages because somehow the messages are still sending through imessage which i no longer have.... I deleted my phone number from the account though as per instructiions from the phone carrier and is still not working...Any help?

    Hello jn_andrade,
It sounds like you are no longer getting text messages becuase your Apple ID is still using your phone number for iMessage. I would use these steps to unlink your phone number from your account:
    Unlink a phone number
To remove a phone number from an Apple ID, sign out of FaceTime and Messages on your iPhone:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
This should remove your phone number from other devices using the same Apple ID with FaceTime and Messages. If the phone number is still available on other devices after you sign out of FaceTime and iMessage on the iPhone, you may need to sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices, then sign in to FaceTime and Messages again on devices you want to use.
Note: If you no longer have access to the iPhone that is using the number you want to remove, reset your Apple ID password.
From: iOS and OS X: Link your phone number and Apple ID for use with FaceTime and iMessage

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Iv sent an iMessage to someone abroad but deleted it before it delivered, will it still send as an iMessage when the person has wifi?

Your question is a bit unclear. However, once the message is sent, it is beyond your control. You can't unsend it. If the person has an active data connection and an iOS device, it should show as an iMessage.

These new secondary sites are off of a new primary site in another region.  In region 1, secondary site creation had no issues. I am unsure where to go from here.  I have tried deleting the secondary sites and removing all installed applications
and running through creation again.  I have also tried recreating with different site codes.  Installation appears to complete successfully and I can see my sites in ADSIEdit.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Procedure performing a "Retry Secondary Site" Operation in SCCM 2012 R2 Secondary Server

    Dear Brother,
My SCCM 2012 R2 Secondary Site Server, unfortunately crashed and required to be restored, doing this I end up performing a "Retry Secondary Site Operation.
One by one I am clearing out the errors but there are few remaining errors on the prerequisite checks:
1.[Failed]:The logon account for the SQL Server service cannot be a local user account, NT SERVICE\<sql service name> or LOCAL SERVICE.  You must configure the SQL Server service to use a valid domain account, NETWORK SERVICE, or LOCAL SYSTEM.
Actions Done: SQL Related Services use Logon As Domain Account "Microsoft-Domain\BillAdmin" , but still the above message still appears in the logs.
    Actions Done: None
2.[Failed]:The collation of the site database does not match the collation of the parent site's database.  All sites in a hierarchy must use the same database collation.
3.[Failed]:The site server might be unable to publish to Active Directory. The computer account for the site server must have Full Control permissions to the System Management container in its Active Directory domain. You can ignore this warning if you have
manually verified these permissions. For more information about your options to configure required permissions, see
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=233190.
Actions Done: None, as this machine is previously a working Secondary site for 1 Year already. So I do not suspect anything from the current related configuration.
4.[Failed]: Either the user account running Configuration Manager Setup does not have sysadmin SQL Server role permissions on the SQL Server instance selected for site database installation, or the SQL Server instance could not be contacted to verify permissions.
    Setup cannot continue.
Action Taken:  Domain Account "Microsoft-Domain\BillAdmin" has a
Sysadmin roles and actually all the check boxes are chosen to acquire all SQL account roles"
    5. [Failed]:Prerequisite checks complete with failure - check ConfigMgrPrereq.log
in the root of the primary site server system drive.
6[Failed]:Unable to complete secondary site server installation - check ConfigMgrSetup.log in the root of the secondary site server system drive.

    SQL Server sysadmin rights;    Error;
Either the user account running Configuration Manager Setup does not have sysadmin SQL Server role permissions on the SQL Server instance selected for site database installation, or the SQL Server instance could not be contacted to verify permissions.
    Setup cannot continue.
Did you install SQL server with a local account?
    ?<12-27-2014 23:41:27> SecondarySite2.microsoft.com;
    Parent/child database collation;    Error;
The collation of the site database does not match the collation of the parent site's database.
All sites in a hierarchy must use the same database collation.

  • Uninstalling Secondary Site Server through SW Delivery fails

    We have migrated to SCCM2012
and now need to uninstall our
    SCCM 2007 Secondary Siteserver.
Since we have 300 Secondary Site Server
    in the Hirarchy, the uninstall
of the software must be distributed.
We have to create a task sequence,
in which the following steps are
    performed:
Put the server in the SCOM
    Maintenance Mode
    Stop SCCM services SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER
    and SMS_EXECUTIVE
Uninstalling the Secondary Siteserver with the
    Command "{install path} \setup.exe /deinstall"
Cleanup of folders and files that are left
    Restarting the Server
Take server out of the SCOM
    Maintenance Mode
The uninstallation works well on all Windows Server 2008 R2 Server. But not on the Windows Server 2003. There we get errors "Failed to open key Software\Microsoft\SMS\47006C006F00620061006C005C007B00350031004100300031003600420036002D0046003000440045002D0034003700350032002D0042003900370043002D003500340045003600460033003800360041003900310032007D00\SMSTS"
and "MP name must be set in an environment variable" and "Fatal error is returned in execution of the action (Uninstall Secondary Site). The system cannot find the file specified. (Error: 80070002; Source: Windows)".
After this errors, the Task Sequence Deployment aborts.
Has anybody a solution for this situation?

    Hi,
When removing a secondary site using the Delete Secondary Site Wizard, you must choose whether to delete or uninstall the secondary
    site:
Deleting the site will delete all information about the site and its resources from the Configuration Manager site database at its
parent site, but it will leave the Configuration Manager secondary site installed on the secondary site computer. Select this option if you have already manually uninstalled the secondary site using Configuration Manager Setup at the secondary site computer.
When Configuration Manager 2007 sites are deleted, the deleted site information is only deleted from the deleted site's direct parent site. Site deletion
information is not propagated up the hierarchy to grandparent sites. In order to delete the site from the site database at sites above the deleted site's direct parent site, the hierarchy maintenance tool (Preinst.exe) must be run on every primary site above
the deleted site's parent primary site using the command Preinst /delsite. For more information about the hierarchy maintenance tool, see
    Hierarchy Maintenance Tool (Preinst.exe).
    Refer to:
How to Remove a Secondary Site Using the Configuration Manager Console
    Thanks, Prabha G

  • How Can I Remove a Secondary Site When The Server no Longer Exists?

This organisation deployed a new SCCM site and then decommissioned the server before successfully removing either the site or the server/roles.
I tried to force the removal of the site which failed:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\X64\00000409>preinst.exe /delsite xxx
Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager v5.00 (Build 7804)
    Copyright (C) 2011 Microsoft Corp.
Cannot find site [xxx] in the site control data in the database. Checking in ServerData in the database.
    Failed to execute SQL query.
The secondary site is showing in the console as 'deleting'.
Can anyone advise the best way to proceed?
    Thanks.

I had the same issue and this is what they sent me... I used it and it worked for me.
    1.       Please follow these steps to manually delete the
Secondary Site from the Secondary site server
    2.       We also used the PREINST tool to remove the pending jobs.
    3.       On the ConfigMgr primary site (parent) computer, click Start, and then click Run.
    4.       Type cmd in the Open box, and then click OK.
    5.       At the command prompt, type cd\, and then press the ENTER key.
    6.       Type cd sms\bin\i386\00000409, and then press the ENTER key.
    7.       To remove any pending or active jobs to a site, type Preinst /DELJOB SiteCode , and then press the ENTER key.
    8.       We deleted the Secondary Site from the console of parent  site.
    9.       We removed the Sender Addresses from the Configuration Manager console, as explained below.
    10.   Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Systems Management Server, and then click ConfigMgr Administrator Console.
    11.   Locate the Site Settings\Addresses subtree.
    12.   Right-click the address for the failed secondary site, and then click Delete.
    13.   Then we cleaned the registry, by taking the backup of the HKLM Node

Thanks Lavelle, however your instructions are clearly for SCCM 2007:
    11.   Locate the Site Settings\Addresses subtree.
    12.   Right-click the address for the failed secondary site,
    and then click Delete.
Can you confirm you have run these steps on your own SCCM 2012 site?

    1) SEC server have privilages on System managent container
    2) Primary site Server account and computer have local admin right on SEC server
hman logs says the following error message

    1) Deleted the secondary site and reinstalled the site with different Site code but no luck
    2) Able to telnet 1433 and 4022 from both primary to secondary and vice versa
    3) SQL server Configuration Manager , TCP IP port was set to 1433.

    Thanks

    Hi Guys
Exact same problem as described above:
Been told to install SQL Express manually first, but even after that, we continued to get the same problem.
The SQL Communication between the 2 sites doesn't seem to work.
I noticed that the Primary's SQL Security Account doesn't get created on Primary DB, in the Database replication the link has not yet been created either.
The "Exec spDrsSendSubscriptionInvalid 'Secondary 3 digit site code','Primary 3 digit site code','configuration data'" worked on 1 Secondary, but fails on all the rest.
Uninstalling/Installing the Secondary doesn't work either.
