Deleted PithHelmet and broke Safari: what next?

I'd been having problems with sites like CNN crashing Safari as a result of some sort of conflict with Pithhelmet. So it was suggested that I use a style sheet instead to block ads. So I found this one here: http://www.beatnikpad.com/archives/2003/03/08/adblocking/. It really did the trick.
So I deleted PithHelmet by using Spotlight to locate all Pith files, then I trashed them and emptied the trash. Then I found I could no longer view video (NASA TV, Youtube, Google Video, etc.), and that other sites that use Flash (I think) wouldn't work.
I looked up "uninstalling PithHelmet" and found that there are a couple of other things to delete: DuctTape.framework and DuctTape.pkg so I trashed those too. Still not working. I've removed the stylesheet too. I don't know if the video problem was there when I was using that style sheet: I didn't try looking at any.
So somehow I crippled Safari. Now, before I mess around and destroy something else, should I restore all my old Safari stuff from bacup (Apple Backup in my case)? Try reinstalling Safari or running a Safari updater?

My keychains haven't been working so I deleted something and I forgot what it was, but it was obviously something big and now my mac is saying that it cannot find a place to store a keychain or there is no keychain available or something along those lines. I need help with this problem ASAP. This is how this problem started:
1) A couple days ago i changed my password and turned my computer off.
2) Today I powered up my mac and it says "This application would like to use keychains please enter your keychain login."
3) I didn't know what the password was so I went on Safari and the messages kept popping up.
4) I went on Safari typed in my problem and it came up with a question similar to mine on an apple webpage.
5) I clicked the webpage and it was telling me these steps to follow to make the pop up messages stop and how to reset the keychain login password
6) I followed the steps and one of the steps were to delete something so i did
7) I then tried to reset my default keychain but it said "This specified keychain could not be found"
8) so i got worried and restarted my computer and it still had the pop ups and i had to relog into my account.
9) I got relogged into my account and the messages kept popping up.
So now i come to you all smart mac users asking for your help and ASAP. Please help me I don't know what i did and i want my mac back to the way it was.
HELP ME!!!! Answer ASAP PLEASE I NEED YOU SMART PEOPLE!!!!!

Best thing to do here would be to reset your keychain to factory default. I’ll explain below. But first let me explain the consequences: doing the action below means that your iMac will forget your passwords until you enter them again once more. Think email passwords, wifi passwords, website passwords etc. You don’t have to change all these passwords, you will have to simply enter them once more, so hopefully you either know them by heart or wrote them down in a safe place at one point.
Either way, I think at this point you have little choice, as your description makes me think your keychain is completely broken anyway unfortunately.
So here we go:
1/ click on the Finder and locate the menu called “go” in the upper left corner of your computer display. For reference, this will be somewhere to the right of the classic -menu. Once found, click on it and select: “Go To Folder”
2/ Type the line below in the box that appears, including the ~ (or copy-paste it from here of course) and click the [GO]-button.
~/library/
3/ Now the Finder will enter a folder with a lot of technical-looking folders. Scroll around until you find the folder called “Keychains” Move this entire folder - with contents and all - to the trash.
4/ Once trashed (you don’t have to empty the trash if you don’t want to) restart your computer via:  > restart. If this doesn’t work (might happen if a lot of password prompts are hanging around for example) just forcefully restart it this once.
Your issue should be solved and you’re now left with the slight chore of re-entering your passwords one-by-one as your computer asks for them.

Help! I can't get or send mail or messages. My safari and chome won't connect. App Store doesn't work. I have changed my Apple ID and rebooted. What next??

I have kept getting some sort of messages about my apple id or icloud being disabled or something like that. My mail @me.com doesn't work, I can't send messages, Safari and Chrome won't let me do anything. First I thought it was just the Chrome. So I deleted it and then went to the app store to re-load it. I don't know what to do. I'm "old and moldly" so I'm not technically "savy". How can I fix this????

Palm V and Cell Phone - What Next?

I've been pretty happy for many years just using a Palm V that I sync with my PC for Calendar, Memo, To Do and Address postings. Beyond that I'm a simple cell phone user, i.e., I only use it to do voice calls. I don't need or want much else - except, I don't want to carry around two devices on my hip anymore! So, I see that the Palm Pre may have all of the functionality of my Palm V plus the cell phone capability - is this what I need or would anyone please recommend my best option that would not cause me to modify much - just have one simple device to replace the two and let me upload/download or backup with my PC. Thousands of songs deleted regularly and need to resync

I have a lot of problem with the music syncing with IOS7. I have an Iphone 5 running Ios7.04 and a PC with Itunes 11.1.4.62.
Regularly a lot of tunes, last for instance it was 1670 songs, are deleted form my iphone : I see them but if I try to read one song, it is not accessible and the player deletes it and move to the next one.
Then when I resync with Itunes it starts the copy of hte tunes again.
I have the same problem with the podcasts.
I made a hard reinitiatilization of the Iphone and restore backup. I took care to achieve full syncs without interrupting and now it's occuring again.
That's extremly annoying.
I went to an apple store for support, they told me to try to hard reset again without the restore. I didn't so far and if it's happenning again they'll report a bug, what a joke ! It's too boring to have to manually copy again all my apps, etc.
The strange thing is that my Iphone was changed because of an hardware problem (SIM not detected anymore) and I have the problem since, but I see that bug reported in various forums.
BTW, I had 3 hardware failures in 1 year with this Iphone and 3 replacements: on/off switch malfunction after a couple of weeks of having the Iphone, Wifi wasn't working anymore then after 10 months, and no SIM detection a couple of weeks later. Never had any problem with my Iphone 4 before.
Any idea of what I can do ?

Thank you for your reply, I was just hoping to try it out before I committed to buying..I have lightroom 4.5, so I only want the PS and CC...have photographers found this to be enough?
The choices are overwhelming, and the version I have of PS elements from 2006 is understandably out of date and I am finsding it harder and harder to use with templates and updated actions...

Try resetting the iPod.
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Next would be to sync with yur computer
After that would be to restore from backup
Last would be to restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Safari Version 7.0.5 (9537.77.4) very slow and frustrating. What can be done to make it faster?

7.0.5 is actually running faster here. Try troubleshooting ..
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Go to me.com, logon and go to the FindMyiPhone. If it does not appear then there is not much you can do.
Next step would be to appleid.apple.com and change your password to cut off access to your iDisk.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output andWi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

I started out with version 11 and loved it right up to the latest update.
I'm beyond my partying days so DJ has nothing for me but I realy loved the drop down with "what's next", the "play next" and the "add to play next" feature and best of all "SHOW DUPLICATES".
I have an eclectic taste in music and a very extensive music collection to go with it. The "show duplicates" feature allowed me to shrink my library by well ove 1,000 songs and eliminated hearing the same song several times when playing randomly. ie, I have the complete Rolling Stones collection and was able to get rid of no fewer than 7 coppies of "Satisfaction".
With all the duplicates lined up you can sample each one and avoid deleting different versions also.
I'm eagerly waitng for the next update to see if my problems with 11 will be fixed. The current update drops out sections of songs (Whipping Post by the Alman Bros. was over in 3 minutes) and I tried repairing and a complete uninstall, reinstall to no avail.

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over the last few days, I assume that there has been a problem with Apple's servers.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting those tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that album and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
