Deleted Playlist...Top Rated/Top 25 etc etc...

Accidentally deleted My Top 25 Rated playlist in Itunes. Is there any way to recover this ??? I can't find it in Itunes Prefs or anywhere else. I would think it would just be a simple setting but i can't find it anywhere....Recently Added/Top 25 Most Played have been deleted too....Anyone know how to recover these playlist??

It's just a smart playlist and you can make another one.
File>>New smart playlist...
Match the following rule:
Rating is greater than -however may stars you want.
Or you could have no rule with limit to checked and set as follows:
25(or any number) items selected by highest rating

IPod Touch built-in smart playlists (Top 25,etc.) disappeared off of it although it's still on iTunes

I synced my ipod the day before, and everything was still intact. Today, I synced it again for more music, and it suddenly removed my smart playlists off my ipod touch. Right click on the playlists in question on your PC. Click 'duplicate' and it will create a new folder ie. recently added # 1. Sync and the new playlist should appear. Not ideal I know but at least you get your playlist back.

In iTunes at the top hit File>New Smart Playlist. Check "Match Following Rule" then make the rule as "My Rating" "Is Greater Than" "3 Starts". Uncheck "Limit To" and "Match Only Checked Songs" then put a check beside Live updating

Backing-up my playlists, top-rated, & favorites onto an external drive.

Hello Folks! I don't know if this posted earlier? If so, please disregard. If not, please help. I'll be backing up my iTunes library onto an external hard drive. From what I've read it's should be a rather simple process. Drag-and-drop, right? If I'm mistaken, please let me know before I begin? The question I have is how would I back-up the playlists, top-rated, and favorites so they stay intact? Would I use the same method? I have tons of playlists and have the other fields populated already and I don't want to start over.

Can't browse top charts, etc. in Apple Store

Hi! Does anyone encountered the same problem I experienced with my Ipad2 recently? I can't browse top charts, etc in my Ipad2, but it checks for updates & I can still search for a specific application, Same goes with my ITunes & IBooks. For ITunes it doesn't display the movies, music, tv shoes, etc. when I clicked on it but if I typed in the search box it searches & shows result.
I've tried turning off then on again my unit but still the same. Hope someone can help me. Thanks!

Have you tried closing the iTunes app completely and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with iTunes 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the iTunes app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Another option is to try logging out of your account by tapping on it Settings > Store and then logging back in.

go to 'Edit' in the menu bar. Then choose 'Preferences'.
you'll see a pop-up and there's a tab called 'Devices' there. If you click that, you will be able to check a box that says 'prevent automatic syncing for iPods, iPads and iPhones' or something like that.

NB: if you don't even see the menu bar that has options like 'File, Edit, View, etc', first click the black/white square button on the top left of your screen, and then click 'show menu bar'. It should pop right up.

Finder in CoverFlow behaves incorrectly when you delete the top item

Put Finder in CoverFlow mode, delete the top item from the file list, observe that the Cover of the deleted item is still shown in the CovderFlow window but the "file name" has been deleted from the file list. Scroll down and notice that the Cover shown for the selected item is ONE item out of sync. If you close and reopen the Finder window you are once again in sync. I have not checked if this happens with anything but the top item. This makes things very confusing...I haven't found a fix for this yet...and ideas?

All sorted! dont suppose you know how to fix another problem I have??? for weeks now, since updating to ios5 I think, for some reason every time I have tried to log onto app store it says CANNOT CONNECT TO ITUNES STORE. It's nothing to do with my computer, and I've been to the Geniius bar but they couldnt help and nothing I seem to do lets me update my Apps and even worse, I cant even buy any more. Any suggestions?

Material you do not need does not belong on your MBP. What you are referring to though are rather small items and would be difficult to find them all.
I would suggest a clean install. Backup all of your data, reinstall your OS, erase the internal HDD and then select only the data you wish to retain. This way all of the refuse is automatically eliminated.
Further, consider a larger internal HDD before you do this. The less data on a HDD, the better the performance.

Did you go to: Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and setting? If did that with a 1G or 2G iPod it can take hours had if the iPod is not charging during that time the battery will fully drain.
Try charging it for an hour and see what happens. See if placing the iPod in recovery mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore the iPod via iTunes. For recovery mode see:

Check your Videos and your text messages - if there are any pics or videos in text messages, they can take up a lot of space.

Sounds that you installed a Persona.
You can uninstall your current Persona and revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

HOW DO I DELETE PLAYLIST FROM MY IPAD 2?

I create my own playlists using Windows Notepad, and then I simply copy the file on my playbook. Which means by using Windows Explorer, I can easily rename or edit or delete any of those playlists.
