Deleted Purchased Music Playlist (not music)

I accidentally deleted the "Purchased" playlist which is a default list under Music Store. The songs are there...just the (green) playlist is gone. How do I get it back?

I copied this hint from a post of an Apple employee a while ago.
It said:
Could you try turning on the Shopping Cart for me?
1. Open iTunes.
2. From the iTunes menu, select Preferences.
3. In the Preferences window, select the green Store icon.
4. In the Store pane, click the radio button labeled Buy Using a Shopping Cart.
Let me know if this makes the Purchased Music playlist reappear.
If this doesn't do the trick, the playlist should re-appear on your next purchase.
Or, in the meantime, make a Smart Playlist with the rule:
Kind - contains - protected
This will put all your purchases in that playlist.

Ok, what about how with the last Itunes upgrade, it deleted all my purchased music from personal CD's! Is Itunes only designed to play music from Apple? I thought it was designed more like Windows Media Player and that any music purchased on the computer would play. I have my ghost playlists still listed in Itunes, but no songs because they have been deleted. My Iphone has all the music, but I can't transfer them to Itunes. The sync only goes from computer to device. Any one here about Senuti? Is it trustworthy?

Deleting purchased music from ipad

If I delete purchased music from ipad will it remain in iTunes Match given that I did not delete from iCloud?

Yes, the tracks will remain in the cloud. It is not possible to delete tracks from the cloud on an iOS device.

Accidentally deleted purchased music

I accidentally deleted 12 songs from a purchased album. I have looked for the files in icloud and the left column tells me 13 songs are available, but in the right hand side downloads column, only one song shows (which is the one I have already). I have searched in finder and the files are no longer their either. How can I re-download them when they won't show up?

Hi David,
1. Buy another song, as previously mentioned (iTunes will recreate your purchased folder automatically)
2. Within iTunes: go to your entire music library (make sure the "Kind" column is displayed, the one that shows whether your songs are formatted in MP3, AAC, Protected AAC, etc.)
3. in the iTunes search field type: protected
4. all of your purchased music should pop up > select it all and drag and drop it all into your newly recreated "Purchased" folder.
note: if you have any drm free songs this method will obviously not work for those particular songs, and whatever song you purchase to recreate your purchased folder will end up twice in that folder.

How do I delete Purchased Music Files from my iPhone 5? Im running iOS 8.2

So I have attempted every which way to delete my music including going to General>Settings>Usage>Music Delete. Certain files remain on my phone and i cant delete them in any fashion. This seems like a bug because I have gone to the store to download the rest of the album then can finally swipe and delete. This is a long process and does not seem to be too user friendly. There has to be a better way to do this right?
Also, I have noticed that when plugging in iphone to my PC, I have problems uploading music....arrrrrrggggggg!!! Help Please.

I understand that you want to delete some songs off of your iPhone in order to make room for an iOS update. You can find some information on deleting music files in iOS in the following article:

Note that this article is only for music items downloaded from the iTunes Store. In order to remove items that you have synced into your device from your computer, you will need to connect back to the computer you used to add the music, uncheck the items you want removed, then sync to confirm the removal of these items. Can't delete purchased music from my iPhone

Hello everyone.
I recently bought an album from iTunes. I hate the music but I cant manage to delete the album.
1. If I delete it from iTunes it stays on my iPhone, then when I synch it comes back to iTunes.
2. If I uncheck all the songs from the album then set synch to "only synch checked songs", it still stays on my iPhone
3. If I check "backup to cloud" or "backup to computer" it doesn't make a difference!!!
Can anyone help, this is driving me crazy!

On your iPhone, swipe your finger across the song listing and tap the red delete button.
Before you sync again, delete the album from iTunes on your computer.

How to replace lost or deleted purchased music.

I have somehow deleted several songs from the purchased list, they are still on the list but message says itunes cannot find the files,
the songs apear on my store purchase history, how do we "refresh" the purchased songs without paying for them again.

Itunes deletes purchased music?

This is a big problem,
after buying many songs through itunes suddenly half of the songs have gone missing.
I did use another computer before but transfered over all of the music and now the files have just upright dissapeared.
So I've put a lot of money into itunes in fact, and i'm missing about 800 dollars worth of music
How did the files just suddenly dissapear and how do I restore this music?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Purchase Order Item deleted; purchase requsition quantity not update

We have PR-20025224 item 130 the quantity ordered is 200 on 2 PO 4200039509 and 4200083799 (100 each)
One of the PO (4200083799) is deleted (No GR)so the quantity ordered should be 100 only in the purchase requisition u201CStatusu201D tab.
Normally the program RM06HL04 should correct the quantity ordered but it does not.
In the status tab in purchase requistion details are as below
Proc Status:- B PO Created
Block ID - Not Blocked
Ord Qty - 200
- 05 Relese Completed

I checked the deleted PO, in "Delivery Schedule" tab at right end the last column is "PReq Closed" and it is blanked.
Actually the client need is, once the PO deleted, in the purchase requistion "Status" tab "Ord Qty" gets changed (In this case it should reduce by 100 no from 200 nos, because other PO is for 100 nos)
But PR Ord Qty does not changed.
Is it possible that, the PR quantity gets changed once PO deleted?

How can I delete iTunes purchased music

Music I purchsed from iTunes is synced to my iPad. However, there are a couple of tracks I do not want but can find no way to delete them. I have deleted them from my iMac and Mac Mini but they still apear on the iPad. It's no big deal but I like to have control over devices I own and this is an irritation. How can I permanently delete purchased music from the iPad?

OK so I'm answering my own question. After deleting purchased music from my iMac and Mac Mini, it still appeared on my iPad. However, on opening Music in the iPad, I found that by holding my finger against the track I wanted to delete and swiping to the right, a red DELETE tag appeared at the right-hand end of the track title line. Tapping this tab deleted the title and it has not returned. I repeated this for all of the purchased titles I wanted to remove and it has worked.
I have not found any reference to this facility elsewhere but, believe me, it works.

Delete them off using iTunes on your computer they're much easier.

Playlist not updated after music was deleted

I have been wanting to delete my music from my iPhone, so I turned to this iExplorer software which lets you access the iPhone's root directory. I managed to find the folder which the music was stored in, which was "/Root Directory/User/Applications/Media/iTunes_Control/Music" , where I found several folders named FXX (e.g. F01, F27), and in each of them there were some music files whose names were all four characters and was some jumbled up combination of text and numbers (e.g. G8J1). Listening to all the files, I realised those were all the music that my iPhone contained, so I proceeded to delete all the FXX folders. However, when I tried to open up my iPod, the track list and playlists remain intact. When I selected any track, it would then randomly jump to about 2-4 other tracks without playing them and then returning to the song list. When I tried to sync the phone with new songs in my iTunes, it would just start and finish syncing without doing anything. So how do I clear the track list of the songs that are not there anymore and also how should I get my iTunes to sync with my iPhone?
Other things to note:
- When I went to the "About" section under Settings > General, it still says that I have songs inside the phone
- When I double press the home button and slide to the right to show the music player, when I press Play, similarly, it just jumps through about 3-4 tracks then stops doing anything.

Restore it from a backup, or purchase it again, or fill out and submit this form for iTunes Store music. If the music came from CDs, reimport those CDs.

Unless you subscribe to iTunes Match , Apple does not keep a backup of your iTunes library. Even then it is not the library as it exists on your computer, but some version of the media, and only media files, not playlists. Even then not all media are definitely available since anything removed from the iTunes Store since you purchased it is not available for re-download.

In your case it sounds like you will have to obtain non iTunes purchases from their original source or a backup you may have made at some time in the past.
