i used bootcamp and in windows i used disk management and added a new partition and then i had no mac and windows. hardly i repartitioned my macbook and i deleted recovery partition too. how can i get it back?

If you deleted the Recovery volume, the only way to create your Recovery HD again is by reinstalling OS X. If your Mac came with the OS X version you have, start in Internet Recovery (holding Command, Option and R keys) and reinstall OS X

Windows 8 Deleted Recovery Partition and Saved but No Boot

I ve Hp Pavilion G6 - 2336el , i bought it 5 months before and 2 days before i installed Ubuntu but by mistake ubuntu deleted all partitions (included recovery partition) and created one for itself.
by using DiskTest tool on ubuntu i recovered some files and full of recovery partition.
after that, for re-install windows 8 from recovered partition , i did set partition bootable by using another tool which was running on ubuntu.
now, windows 8 repair screen appears but im getting -a required device isn't connected or cannot be accessed- error.
i googled about this problem but the solution didnt work for me. (boot change from bios)
by the way , for precaution , i made an IMG file of recovery partition also (which is 14gb).
i tried burn a bootable disk with that image but didnt work because some files in img is too big for fat32.
after that i tried boot from EFI file but bios cant reach to Ntsf part. i tried to explorer IFE file in fat32 but i couldnt because IFE file which i ve is more than 13gb (same problem for fat32 file system)
so summary :
i ve recovery part with files (install.wim , *.ife files...) but getting error.
i ve an .img of partition but couldnt make bootable disk
Maybe there s a tool for reach ntsf then i can boot from ife...i dont know i need ur help.
what can i do?
im really so sad , already i lost many important data, files , pics.. im living in italy and im a student (not italian) and i really cannot order another cd from Hp for recovery.

and i installed without problem..
but before install the system with ubuntu live cd i booted pc and i found my product key which is embedded in bios.
then installed win8 Enterprise 64bit..
now my problem is activation, when i digit the key , before active it, it says under the box it s correct but when i click to active it then im taking the product key you entered will not work with this edition of windows 8 error..
what should i do

i wiped my t61p to install korean windows and now i want it back to factory status.
I tried to do it from R&R but i wont work and i think b/c i dont have the hidden partition.
I've got no recovery cd or windows cd on me rite now....I really want it back to fresh factory status.

Sir; my laptop has attacking some big viruses, i fix this viruses using McAfe antivirus, the option for SHRED the selected drive D (unfortunately recovery partition by mistake selected) files in shred scanning, after that D drive has all files deleted. i lost my partition drive. At the second stage, windows 10 upgradation notification in toolbars, i installed and upgrade to Windows 10. after the restart the screen will be in BLUE or BLACK stage, not to boot to the operating system. Deleted recovery partition but recovered it - Toshiba Portege Z830

Hi, I need some assistance, i have this ultrabook so i deleted recovery partition did not format it, then i recovered it but now when i press 8 and all the options come to live the recovery wizard does not see the recovery partition like it use 2 and so it cant boot the toshiba recovery wizard thingy.
So when i want to put my system back to the factory settings i cant. There must be a way to astablisch the link with the partition and the wizard again. Plz help.

Back in the day pressing my computer only showed a c drive and now the recovery hdd partition is visible there 2. so maybe i need to boot it by making it active or something? im afraid to do that without advise becouse after maybe i cant use the pc again who knows. So yea plz help i just want to be able to set my system back to default again easy peasy lemon squuizy. thx

How to recover deleted "Recovery Partition"

Ok so I apologize in advance if this story is a bit long, and horrifying (actually it's probably entertaining xD). I purchased the Lenovo y510p gaming laptop on back on July 14th 2014. I got the laptop, and it just didn't work for me. It didn't play the games I wanted it to, it had overheating issues, the keyboard had a really sharp edge making typing uncomfortable as well. After installing Sony Vegas and Avast, and just shifting some of my personal photos/music over, I made a backup of the laptop using the OneKey Recovery software. This backup was made to one of my 500GB external hard drives. So I then decided that I just didn't like the laptop, and it was time to return it. I called Newegg, and got my RMA all ready to go. Because I had lot of my personal files and programs, I decided the fastest way to delete everything would be to use the OneKey Recovery by Lenovo, and do a factory reset. At the time, I didn't think anything of this then simply putting the laptop back to exactly how I got it. I even booted it up after the factory reset, and it looked just like the first day I got it. Fast forward 2 weeks, and my RMA is denied from Newegg: Your RMA (RMA Number: 60470880) return was received and sent to our Inspections Department for closer examination. 34-313-740 NB LENOVO IDEAPAD Y510P 59406636 RTSystem has been modified/altered original manufacturers operating system has been removed cannot access restore partition, this voids Newegg warranty. Unit cannot be accepted or resold as received. So I was completely shocked as to how I had managed to delete the recovery partition, I didn't modify the OS in anyway, and I phoned Newegg to check what was going on. They confirmed that the tech people at the returns department could not reset the laptop properly, because the recovery partition had been deleted. So, the laptop is being shipped back to me this week, and my question was what on earth could I do to recover this "deleted recovery partition?" If the OneKey Recovery still works, I don't see why it woudn't, then I can restore the backup that I made on my external hard drive from Day 1. That should bring back this alleged "recovery partition" that's been causing all hell to break loose lol. If however, I can't access that OneKey Recovery, I believe I'm in a huge pile of trouble. Newegg said that if I can manage to recovery that lost "recovery partition" then they will honor my RMA and refund my money. At this point in time, I'm trying to salvage my situation, and think and act quickly as Newegg does have a 30day only return policy. I didn't do much with the laptop when I had it other than test a few games, so I honestly have NO IDEA how I could've deleted the recovery partition. But I'm not thinking of that anymore, and thinking ahead as to how I can recovery this deleted "recovery partition." Thanks for reading this horror story, and I really appreciate any responses.

The first thing I'll do is go into Disk management to see if the recovery drives are there. Tbh, I doubt Newegg would purposely rip me off, so I'm expecting the drives to be missing. If they're not however, I'm taking pictures and probably dancing because I'll be so happy haha. If the drives are NOT there, I'll see if I can load up OneKey Recovery, and restore my backup, and go from there. Also yes I'm sure I bought it from Newegg, no third parties. @neok- That's exactly what I was thinking! I did the OneKey Recovery, then packed the laptop up and sent it for shipping. Then I get a RMA denied and I was completely shocked. That made me wonder if you could only do the OneKey Recovery once maybe, but I contacted Lenovo and they gave me a letter, written, saying what the OneKey software does. I then forwarded this email to the supervisor at Newegg, but she told me that the fact of the matter is that the "recovery partition" is not accesible anymore, and they're not honoring my RMA unless I retreive it. They were very adament about this. Also thanks for those links, I did a few Google searches myself and those are generally what I found. The reoccuring theme in those cases seems to be people resizing their partitions. I did not do that, simply played a few games, didn't like the laptop, did a factory reest, and boom. That's all I did. If I'm unable to use OneKey Recovery when I get the laptop back this upcoming Friday, I'll consult with those links. Thanks! @Zoltan- Yeah honestly I want to be furious with Newegg, but then seeing as they're really quite strong on their grounds that I somehow deleted it, I'm trying to think back to what I did. However, I find it hard to believe that I would delete the recovery partition, even accidently, because I only had the laptop for a day, and all I was really doing was transferring my photos/music, and installing a few programs. My desperate last attempt to salvage my money will be calling Lenovo and requesting the recovery media, even if it costs $60 or up. The only problem with this is that they might take a while to ship the disc. I only have until around August 14th before Newegg's 30day return policy kicks in, although I spoke with the Newegg supervisor, and she granted me 1-2 days of grace. I could order the CD right now, before I even get the laptop shipped to me, but that's risky seeing as I might not need it at all, if I can still access the OneKey Recovery. The more I think about it though, if I explain my entire situation to Lenovo, they might send me a free CD which I could then order right now, saving me a few days, and serving as more of a precaution then anything. Thanks so much for the replies guys, last Friday was the most stressful day of my life, this RMA was denied, and then I thought about it all day at work. I think I could've been more aggressive with Newegg, but I have no real legal documentation to show them. I mean yes even if I did delete the recovery partition, which I didn't, but let's suppose I did. Deleting software is still not any means for flat out rejecting an RMA, and refusing to refund $1300. I just looked into this as I was moving my iPad to a new computer for synching. With no thanks to Kobo for any really useful information on their help site (this discussion was the most useful info I found), I think the following may address your issue with respect to Kobo.
1. There is not easy or official way to back up Kobo books from your iPad.
2. Kobo keep track of your personal library. Go to the Kobo website (Kobo.com) and sign in to your account. On the very top line is "My Library". That contains (or at least Kobo says it does) everything you have ever bought from Kobo. Kobo say that you may download any of this content to other devices you own at no charge.
3. I synched my iPad to the new computer. According to Apple, that will delete all my data as the apps are re-installed from the new compute. While all my apps got moved around from the order I previously had (many thanks Apple), all my books are still there together with my bookmarks etc. Looks like this did nothing to change any Kobo data.
While I do not like the idea that I cannot create a backup on my main computer, it is probably safer in the long run that there is a backup at Kobo. After all, I could lose all my equipment in a fire or something, and then personal backups would be of little use.

Missing Recovery Partition and Unrecognized File Systems

So, a long time ago I accidentally deleted my recovery partition and have recently been trying to fix it so that I can upgrade my OS to Mavericks. After browsing around here I found the Recovery Partition Creator 3.7 and used it to create a new recovery partition. Using the diskutil list command everything seemed to be fine and it looked like the partition was successfully created so I tried reinstalling OS X Lion by holding command R at startup. Doing so brought up the internet recovery menu and I selected reinstall Lion which was still unsuccessful because "a recovery partition could not be created". So, I decided to check in disk utility to see what might be wrong and I used the disk utility debug command in order to access disk utility's debug menu and show all the hidden partitions. Now, looking at these partitions I see two hidden partitions: disk0s1 which is an EFI partition, and disk0s3 which is the Apple Boot Partition that was created by Recovery Partition Creator 3.7. After verifying the partitions, disk utility is telling me that both my EFI and apple boot partitions have unrecognized file systems, my Macintosh HD partition is fine. At this point I do not know what to do.
Below are photos of the diskutil list and of what disk utility is showing me for the two hidden partitions.
For reference I am running OSX Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) on a early 2011 13 inch Macbook Pro (Base Model).

Just an update, I went ahead and installed Lion again over the existing TM restored installation using the Lion Update file and at least File Vault is working. Interestingly, I still do not have a Recover partition so obviously something new for Apple Support to learn.

Some configurations such as a software or hardware RAID do not support a recovery partition and can't be used with Find My Mac.

You have no recovery partition. This is a normal condition if your boot volume is a software RAID, or if you modified the partition table after running Boot Camp Assistant to create a Windows partition. Otherwise, you need to reinstall OS X in order to add a recovery partition.
If you don't have a current backup, you need to back up before you do anything else.
You have several options for reinstalling.
1. If you have access to a local, unencrypted Time Machine backup volume, and if that volume has a backup of a Mac (not necessarily this one) that was running the same major version of OS X and did have a Recovery partition, then you can boot from the Time Machine volume into Recovery by holding down the option key at the startup chime. Encrypted Time Machine volumes are not bootable, nor are network backups.
2. If your Mac shipped with OS X 10.7 or later preinstalled, or if it's one of the computers that can be upgraded to use OS X Internet Recovery, you may be able to netboot from an Apple server by holding down the key combination option-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.
3. Use Recovery Disk Assistant (RDA) on another Mac running the same major version of OS X as yours to create a bootable USB device. Boot your Mac from the device by holding down the option key at startup.Warning: All existing data on the USB device will be erased when you use RDA.
Once you've booted into Recovery, the OS X Utilities screen will appear. Follow the prompts to reinstall OS X. You don't need to erase the boot volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.
If none of the above choices is open to you, then you'll have to start over from an OS X 10.6.8 installation. There's no need to overwrite your existing boot volume; you can use an external drive. Install 10.6 from the DVD you originally used to upgrade, or that came with the machine. Run Software Update and install all available updates. Log into the App Store with the Apple ID you used to buy 10.7 or later, and download the installer. When you run it, be sure to choose the right drive to install on.

Maverick upgrade: Can't create recovery partition and infinite loop

I'm using MacBook Air Mid 2011 with 256 GB SSD (~30 GB free disk space) running MacOS 10.7.4. So far I never followed the suggestion to upgrade to MacOS Maverick but yesterday I thought, OK, let's do it.
After the first reboot the setup started working, but after about 5 minutes it quit with the error message, it can't create the recovery partition and said, after a reboot, I would be sent back to my old MacOS.
However, it booted again into the setup, worked a few minutes, quite with the error message and said, I have to reboot. I tried this a few times but didn't find a way to cancel the setup, but boot into my existing MacOS installation.
I found no other solution than to make a full restore with TimeMachine.
I'm now wondering what the problem was. One point may be that I use FileVault for hard disk encryption and it never asked me for my hard disk password. This is in particular remarkable because TimeMachine didn't show me my internal hard disk as a restore target until I went to the disk utility and used Unlock on my hard disk where I had to enter my password. So maybe this is related?
I know I could run the upgrade without creating a recovery partition but now I'm concerned that other problems could occur if I don't identify the root cause.

You can try making a Recovery Volume using the 2nd link if you still have the installer.

Recreate deleted recovery partition in Lion

My iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) came with Lion installed. I deleted the recovery partition when I triple booted with Windows 7, Ubuntu and Mac OS.
Is there any way to re-create a deleted recovery partition in Lion? I've read that you can download Lion from the App Store & write it to a USB using the Disk Utility.
I am currently dual booting with Mac OS X Lion (10.7.4) and Windows 7 (installed via Boot Camp).
Please give step-by-step instructions if possible.

Actually, have you tried the Internet Recovery Firmware mentions in the article I sent you before?
If you have a newer Mac system, then as long as you have the latest firmware updates installed you should be able to use Apple's Internet Recovery feature and can bypass the need for a local Recovery HD partition. Apple recently released new EFI firmwareupdates for mid-2010 MacBook and Mac Mini systems that enable Internet Recovery, but there are also updates available for newer 2011 Mac models that do the same thing. With the Internet Recovery enabled in the Mac's firmware, to use it you just need to restart with the Command-R keys held down. If there is no local Recovery HD partition available, then the system will ask you to join a network. You will need a Wi-Fi connection available that is secured with a WPA or WPA2 password (other forms of connection such as WEP and certificate-based authentication will not work), and then the system will download and boot from a recovery image file obtained from Apple's servers.

Usually, but there are some conditions that can prevent it. See "Some features of Mac OS X Lion are not supported for the disk (volume name)" appears during installation.
So, I get exactly the same (hidden) Recovery-partition on my Mac mini 2011 as from the store if I delete the hard drive current partitions scheme and create a new scheme with an only one (bootable) partition?
You can't do that, at least not from the Mini, while you're runing from it.
You can, however, remove and/or resize partitions in most cases. See #4 in Using Disk Utility.
