Deleted/Removed Users

Hi Experts
Hi,
I tried to create the a user on SAP, the system throws that he already exists, it turns out the user was removed from SBO some time ago. When I run a query on OUSR sure enough the user is there, the only difference is they fall under a table called Group 99. On the normal user window the user is not available.
How can I restore this user or recreate them in the system?
Regards,
Lebo

Take a look at Metalogix ControlPoint, which will compare user accounts on SharePoint to Active Directory and remove accounts that no longer exist in AD (or are disabled).

  • How To Properly Delete a User Profile on Windows 7 in a Domain environment

I have not been able to find an answer that matches the issue I'm facing. I had recently setup a laptop for a user and soon after, he was experiencing issues that I thought might be profile related. So, I did what always worked for me on prior versions of
Windows without any fuss or side affects.
Logged in under the local Administrator account, I went into: System Properties>User Profiles>Settings and removed the user profile from their. When I do that, I get an error message:
    Profile Error
Profile not deleted completely. Error - A required privilege is not held by the client
Ok, no problem I think. I just need to delete the user's profile directory under the users folder right? So I do this and figure when I try to log in again as the user that a new profile will be created. However, this is not what happens exactly. I login
with the user credentials and it logs in successfully. However, I get a pop saying:
You have been logged on with a temporary profile
You cannot access your files and files created in this profile will be deleted when you log off. To fix this, log off and try logging on later.
Please see the event log for details or contact your system administrator
So my question is; why did the profile not delete completely after both deleting the user profile under System Properties and after deleting the actual profile directory? What did I miss and what is the proper method of deleting a user profile completely
without running into these other issues?

    Hi Womprat,
According to your description, I understand that you want to delete user profile but display an error in Windows 7.
Please use other user (with administrator privileges) login this computer, then open Properties for Computer--->Advanced system setting--->Settings for User Profiles, then select the profile you want to delete.

  • How to delete a user in SAP-CPS Version 7.0

    Hello,
I created my users via UME ( User Management Engine of Java Application server). Unfortunately I used the wrong name convention, so I had to recreate all the users in UME. Afterwards I delete all wrong users in UME.
Than I tried to login with my new user in SAP-CPS (users are normally created in SAP-CPS during first login) but I get the error message that I reached the maximum number of 10 users allowed in the basic version. No problem I thougt, I simply delete the wrong ones in SAP-CPS. But I do not know how to delete a user! I could not find any menu item or any describtion in the manualls how to delete an user in SAP-CPS.
I remove the users from any Isolation group, I disabled all the users but still I could not find any way to delete them.
Has any body a hint for mor.
    Kind regards
    Frank Morleo

    Hello Anton,
deactivating the unused users made it possible to login with the new ones.
    Thanks for your help.
Now I have to find out how to clear the deactivated users from the list.

  • Project Server 2013 - Remove user from resource pool via sync

    Hello everyone,
has anyone managed to configure their Project Server 2013 box with a resource pool sync that will actually remove user from the resource pool (disable "User can be assigned as resource" or deactivate users) when the user is removed from the AD
    group(s)?
Setup: Single box, SQL 2012 SP1, SharePoint/Project Server 2013 + PU March + CU April. 2 PWA instances, 1 in SharePoint and 1 in Project permission mode. Tried on 2 different machines (different setup, accounts, domains).
    Proceedings:
Create AD user U, AD group G. Add U to G.
Go to PWA, setup resource pool sync with G, sync.
U is now in the resource pool, has no PWA permissions.
Remove U from G. Resync resoure pool.
U is still in resource pool, still a resource, still active, can still be assigned as resource.
Adding U back to G an repeating the whole spiel with a resource pool and a PWA group sync of G will result in U being added and removed from the user list (as expected), and U being added but not removed from the resource pool.
    Having read
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg982985.aspx and
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg750243.aspx, there does not seem to be an omission on my part.
    The first article states:
    Note:
The corresponding Project Server User Account is not deactivated based on this synchronization. If the same Active Directory user is configured to synchronize with a Project Server security group, the Project Server user account will be inactivated when
that synchronization occurs. For more information, see
Best practices to configure Active Directory groups for Enterprise Resource Pool synchronization in Project Server 2013.
Unfortunately, this deactivation either does not seem to occur even with a PWA group sync or I misunderstood the article.
So, did anyone manage to setup their resource pool sync in a way, that new resource will be added, but also be removed from the resource pool?
    Kind regards,
    Adrian

    Hi Adrian,
you tried to sync the same AD group that you used for the resource pool sync also with a Project Server permission group?
And on removal of the user of the AD group the project user/resource is not deactivated? Only removed from the group
    Regards
    Christoph
    Hi  Christoph,
even though I might have tried that before, I tried it again in several constellations. It didn't change anything. The the user will be properly added to and removed from the PWA group whenever I remove them from the AD group, the use will also stay active
(but cannot logon without permissions). However, the user will always remain in the resource pool, i.e. the "User can be assigned as resource." checkbox will remain unless it is cleared manually.
Having re-read the technet articles, none of the scenarios actually seem to descibe or address the process that I require, or maybe I'm just misunderstanding. Let me just try to outline the core issue:
Add user to AD group. Sync AD group with resource pool. User is now a PWA resource and PWA user.
Remove user from AD group, but do not deactivate/delete user from AD.
    (Magic happens!)
User cannot be assigned as ressource in PWA.
So, is there anything to make this step 3 happen, or is it just not possible to sync users out of the resource pool anymore unless they are deleted/deactivated in AD?
    Kind regards,
    Adrian

  • Error after deleting a user

    Hi,
i have a big problem. I cannot change my process template,
cause I get the error message:
    <i>Cannot retrieve activity template: User USER.PRIVATE_DATASOURCE.un:tftak1 doesn't exist!</i>
But the User tftak1 is not the designer, but he was involved in the process as a default role.
After I deleted that user I got that message.
What could I do? I need fast help, because we want to start our testing phase...
    Thanks in advance
    Steve

    Hi Steve,
An idea would be to recreate this user tftak1 and then to edit the process and remove it from the default roles.
Other possibility would be to go to the Administration UI in GP and there to change the user assignement for the default roles.
The extreme solution would be to forget your process and to create a new process object. Then you can add again your existing block to this process.
    Hope this helps,
    Best regards,
    David

  • How to do Archiving of deleted & disabled users in OIM11g

    Hi All,
As per the requirement we have to do archive of deleted & disabled users in OIM11g(11.1.1.2) after 75days. Can i know how can i achieve this?
    Regards,
    user7609

    Just to recap:
Your client requirement is to archive users out of OIM after 75 days. This means in addition to actually disabling and/or deleting them, fully removing any traces of them from the system.
As Kevin & GP said, OIM is just not built to do this. API alone is not going to accomplish this task... you'll also need to include SQL to actually drop data out of tables.
All that being said, your post said the reason for this was because of a "license for limited users". Oracle Identity Manager is licensed on an active user basis. You really should talk with your Oracle rep to confirm, but I've never had licensing contracts include deleted/disabled users.

  • Problem in deleting the user

when iam trying to delete the user from subone directory server
it is giving the following exception
Insufficient 'delete' privilege to delete the entry
how to set the privileges in sunone directory server.please send as it is very urgent for me

What is the ID you were using to remove the user? If regular user, maybe it's the ACI of that entry prevented you from removing that entry.

  • System Preferences is frozen open after attempting to delete two users

Went into System Preferences to delete two users.  Now the System Preferences is frozen.  When I try to close it a pop up box says...
Users & Groups preferences is removing a user account and saving the Home directory to a disk image
This has been two hours.....  How do I fix this as I cannot get into any other Preference areas.  This is frozen or stuck....

    I would wait a day.
There is no System Preferences on Mac OS 9.  What version of Mac OS X are you running?

  • Deleted a user but did not save any space

I used migration assistant some time ago and accidentally created a second user in the process. It took me several months to transfer all my files from the secondary user to the admin user (approximately 175 gigs worth) and I finally finished today.
I then deleted the secondary user (picked the bottom option), but did not see any decrease in size even though I selected the option to delete the users files.
I hunted around and found an old user profile but when I selected info on the file, I noticed that it was very small.
I am not sure where these files are hidden, but I definitely want to delete them permanently.
Any suggestions on how to clear this up would be greatly appreciated.

When you delete a user account you have four options. The last one is to remove it completely. The other three allow you to retain it or archive it. The last option is not the default. So the account is still in your /Users/ folder, probably in a folder named Deleted Users. Drag to the Trash then empty.

  • I deleted a user with a lot of files but the memory of my MacbookAir wasn't freed

I deleted a user with a lot of files (more than 200 Gb) thinking that it should free some space, I took the option "remove all files from this user", the user was removed, but the space wasn't freed. I still have those 200 Gb blocked. How can I free that space?

Select the icon of your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you renamed it) in the sidebar of a Finder window, and open the Info window. How much space is Available? Specify gigabytes (GB) or megabytes (MB).

  • Delete Portal user = wwsec_person$

    Hi,
For my project I need to remove users from our portal system.
Users are delete from OID with dbms_ldap.delete_s.
After performing a successful delete, we are not able to user the deleted user =&gt;OK
This user still appear on table wwsec_person$. Is this logical ? Do I need to drop the portal user ?
I try to create a new user with the same user_name and it works, user is created on OID.
    Thanks, Eddy.

I'm guessing you are trying to do this from a tool outside portal such as sqlplus, SQL Developer, Toad, ...? If so, I think it is hiccuping because you don't have a lightweight identity -- you need to be logged into portal to access that table. Two choices -- delete the entry via the DBA tab in navigator when logged in as an administrative user (portal or orcladmin for example) or set context in your database session by running "exec PORTAL.wwctx_api.set_context('portal','<portal's lighweight password>');. Note that password is the user password for portal when logging in the portal GUI, not the PORTAL schema password.
