Deleted server based calendar from desktop iCal application keeps returning

iCal let's me delete it in preferences, but it keeps returning. I am syncing between multiple Macs. After deleting, I am doing a Reset and replace on MobileMe of the Calendar settings.

Cannot delete a Google calendar from my iCal sidebar

I can't seem to delete a calendar created on Google from my iCal sidebar.
Long ago, I created a temporary Google identity, created a calendar under that identity, and subscribed to that calendar in iCal. Other folks in my church subscribed to the same calendar and we used it for years to keep the church's calendar.
Then the church decided to repeat the process using a disctinct Google identity, and we all started using the second one. So I deleted my temporary Google identity, which also deleted the first calendar. All well so far. I did get errors at first about Google not responding, but I turned the calendar offline and that stopped the error messages.
Problem now is, I can't delete the first calendar in my iCal's sidebar. Now that it's deleted from Google proper, I'd like to delete it from my iCal sidebar as well. However, when I select either of the two calendars that are/were connected to Google, Edit -> Delete is dimmed. If I select any other calendar (local or subscribed, but not on Google), Edit -> Delete is lit up.
Anyone have any experience like this?

I haven't heard of that one.
Questions:
Does the calendar in question show up in the "Subscriptions" category of iCal?
If you remove all accounts from iCal > Preferences > Accounts and quit and re-open iCal, does the calendar in question vanish? If so, does the calendar come back when you re-input the servers you need into iCal > Preferences > Accounts?
Can you provide a screen shot of your calendar sidebar.
While you answer those questions, some troubleshooting to try:
Try dragging one of your other calendars above this calendar that won't delete and then quit / re-open iCal and attempt to delete the calendar in question.
Failing that:
1. First make an iCal backup: Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
2. Go to iCal > Quit iCal
3. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
4. Launch iCal and test.
If the issue persists at this point:
Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: Removing these files may remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.

Deleting Server Based Items from Terminal

I'm trying to delete some problem files from our server using Terminal, but I'm running into trouble.
Is it even possible for Terminal to recognize server based files and folders? If not, does anyone have any other suggestions on how to delete these files from our server through one of our Macs?

What kind of server is this?
Can you ssh into your server as a privileged users (someone with full sudo access)? Or at least someone that has the rights to delete the offending files.
Can you use Screen Sharing to access the server, and connect as a privileged user, or at least a user that is allowed to delete the files you desire?
Is this server local, or is it a remote server, and you need to get through corporate firewalls?
Or are these server files on mounted volumes on your Mac? If they are a lot would depend on whether the mount user has been granted rights to delete files on the network mounted volume.
Or are these server files that have been transferred to your Mac, and you are just trying to get rid of them?
Besides addressing these questions, could you provide any other information that might help anyone trying to help, understand what the environment looks like.

You will have to restore the phone. Connect to the computer you normally sync with, restore the device then restore from backup. See this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.
As it states in there, if you do not have access to the computer you normally sync with, or you have never synced the device, you will have to restore the device as a new device and all data will be lost.

You will need to keep them in folder on your hard drive somewhere other than in iTunes or they will be deleted from iTunes if you delete them from the device. I have a folder on my Mac called iPad Pages Documents - very original don't you think!

Here I can read the .csv file from the location using the function RFC_REMOTE_FILE and updated the content into internal table.
But I cant delete the file from the presentation server ( Desktop system).

The solution to delete the file from remote system is
concatenate 'DEL' i_filename i_dirname into v_bkfile separated by space .
call function 'RFC_REMOTE_EXEC'
destination c_dest
exporting
    command               = v_bkfile
exceptions
    system_failure        = 1 MESSAGE v_ermsg
    communication_failure = 2 MESSAGE v_ermsg.

Printing Calendar from desktop

When I try to print from desktop, it tries to say to print hundreds of pages for one month. I hit cancel when it got to the thousands. Help!!

OK, I checked out the things you asked.
1. All the views (day, week, month, year) show fine on the screen
2. I set up a dummy user, and July prints fine with it. Then I tried it again with my usual user info, and had the same problem when I started to print in July.

          weblogic.properties file). The problem is static pages in the web app cannot be found (because
          they are jar'ed up in the .WAR file). Am I missing something here? Has anyone encounter a similar

Can not delete Fox news icon from Safari Favorites Bar, keeps coming back

I can not delete "Fox news" icon from Safari Favorites Bar. Dogpile Search engine also. Both keep coming back with icons upon new opening of Safari.
I have removed these icons from the Book Mark files and Favorites Bar menu and any reference in the LIbrary and replaced them with less spammy evercookie news and search engines 3 times to no avail. I just upgraded Safari (April 2014) and it made no difference. These sites represent the paradigm I
no longer am putting energy into nor want which is why I have rid these increasing more corrupted and cookie agressive sites. But now.....

Thank you for trying but no not the problem. Had the same problem with Iphone 4S. Would not connect to my mail server and tried to send me to fraudulent website in the UK/England.
I did a restore to factory restore to the phone with upgrade to newest operating system, my was up to date until OS 7 as I heard there were problems. Now it has OS 7.
Neither I nor verizon could get the phone up and connected for service again. Taking phone to
apple store on Tues.

Cannot delete locked .INF file from desktop

Okay,
I go to a school where everyone can place everything into one server.
Someone put an autorun.inf virus in all the folders, including mine.
I ended up having the virus on my flashdrive, but wasn't able to delete it through a PC.
A friend said that fellow classmates have been able to delete it through Macs, so I gave it a shot. (This virus doesn't affect Macs, by the way.)
I was able to remove it from my flashdrive, but I cannot remove it from my desktop.
It's just sitting there, locked.
I can't find a way to unlock it, I've tried control+click, right click+delete...
Is there a way to remove it?

Another way that usually works. Depress the Option key when you empty Trash.

How can I disable or delete HP TouchSmart Calendar from my PC

Hello...I have an HP Pavilion slimeline Model: s5-1205z. I have over 30,000 error messages related to the HP TouchSmart Calendar on my PC. I do not have nor use a TouchSmart anything, and do not understand why these errors are happening. They appear to be generated about every 3 minutes apart and several errors listed for the same date and time in between.
How can I get rid of these errrors and prevent them from happening again? I have not been able to find any information on how to disable this feature or delete it from the Help files, so any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :-)

Category sync colours and calendars from desktop to Web

I have just installed Office 365 business premium on several of our PC's both Mac and Windows based. Because I believe the Mac's will be the biggest problem here, I am first trying to get this going on a Mac. Mavericks.
I am working with one Mac with Office 2011(Desktop version of 365) installed to sync calendars to the web outlook app.
I am using an exchange account.
Problem.
Originally the calendars (10 different ones) were created and show up under On My Computer - On my Mac.
When I synced with the exchange account the list of calendars and their category colour, show up under onmicrosoft under On My Mac. So i can see both lists.
If I open the web app. No calendars except the default calendar show.
As well only some of the events have synced to the web app and all are under Calendar and with the same colour.
Does this not do a true sync...or am I missing something.
Any help would be appreciated.

Cannot delete DEFAULT.BMP "file" from Desktop

A symbol labeled DEFAULT.BMP mysteriously appeared on my desktop.
When I try to trash it, I get a message saying it can't be moved to the Trash because it cannot be deleted. I tried command-i to see what it was, and if I could change its status there, but command-i didn't produce anything. As far as I can tell, it's a label, but nothing attached to it.
I'd like to get if off my desktop. Any suggestions

Syncing server based calendars

Hi,
we have serious trouble with iSync. We user some different mobile phones and try to sync them with iCal. That works with local calendars. But with calendars on iCal server it is not possible. iSync says that there is no calendar with read/write access (but it's a calendar where I have read/write permissions on server).
Is there any way to get this working?

For iSync to 'see' subscribed Calendars, you need to set up at least one (even empty) 'local' Calendar.
