Deleted Shared/Purchased Music Playlist

Like an idiot, I deleted my "Purchased/Shared Music Folder." I tried to reinstall iTunes to see if they would come back, but that plan proved unsucessful. Any help would be appreciated to get these playlists back....

Hakubi, I would suggest you start your own thread fully explaining what your issue is, instead of just saying "my gthing is checked, & it still doen't appear." You have posten in a thread that is a month old & if I hadn't had my e-mail subscription turned on, I would neve have know about your post. It's also more courteous not to disrupt the original poster's thread with what may be a similar but unrelated topic. Thanks!

  • Recover "Purchased Music" Playlist

Under the "Store" section in iTunes, I accidently deleted the "Purchased Music" playlist that contains a playlist of all purchased music on that computer. Note that I did NOT delete the music, just the playlist.
For example under "Store" instead of showing:
    Store
    -iTunes Store
    -Shopping Cart
    -Purchased Music
    But mine just shows:
    Store
    -iTunes Store
    -Shopping Cart
I looked under all the settings and preferences I could find to try to turn it back on. I also tried searching and just found a bunch of threads where people had deleted their purchased music, not this playlist.
If I can't get it back that's fine, but figured I would ask since it one of the defualt playlists. Thanks in advance.

i did as described (created a smart playlist with purchased and protected AACs), and it has successfully identified my purchased files, but when i try to drag them to the green purchased playlkist under "store" they do not transfer. it is as if the "purchased" playlist is protected from any additions that do not come from the itunes store, although all of these songs were purchased on the itunes store. any suggestions?
Try dragging the actual songs from your Library into the Purchased playlist, and not the songs that appear from the Smart Playlist; use the Smart Playlist to identify the purchased entries and try again this way.
Although I'm not totally sure why it isn't adding to your Purchased list. I just added the same purchased song to my Purchased playlist twice, through both methods described. (from Smart Playlist and from my Library)
    Strange...

  • Accidentally deleted Purchased Music playlist

I accidentally deleted Purchased Music playlist, no idea really how, bad computer day. Any suggestions on how to get it back? Without poking through my entire library to load purchases.

Ok, what about how with the last Itunes upgrade, it deleted all my purchased music from personal CD's! Is Itunes only designed to play music from Apple? I thought it was designed more like Windows Media Player and that any music purchased on the computer would play. I have my ghost playlists still listed in Itunes, but no songs because they have been deleted. My Iphone has all the music, but I can't transfer them to Itunes. The sync only goes from computer to device. Any one here about Senuti? Is it trustworthy?

  • Deleted Purchased Music Playlist (not music)

I accidentally deleted the "Purchased" playlist which is a default list under Music Store. The songs are there...just the (green) playlist is gone. How do I get it back?

I copied this hint from a post of an Apple employee a while ago.
    It said:
Could you try turning on the Shopping Cart for me?
    1. Open iTunes.
    2. From the iTunes menu, select Preferences.
    3. In the Preferences window, select the green Store icon.
    4. In the Store pane, click the radio button labeled Buy Using a Shopping Cart.
Let me know if this makes the Purchased Music playlist reappear.
If this doesn't do the trick, the playlist should re-appear on your next purchase.
Or, in the meantime, make a Smart Playlist with the rule:
    Kind - contains - protected
This will put all your purchases in that playlist.
    Hope this helps.

  • Please guide me in sharing purchased music. I purchased music, but can't get it to share w/another ipod

Please guide me in sharing purchased music from my account to another ipod

You have posted in the itunes u forum.
Itunes U is where colleges, universities, and museums post educational content for students.
Your question seems to have nothing to do with itunes U.
What do you mean "sharing purchased music from my account to another ipod"?
Do you mean you are trying to sync to your ipod?  If, so just sync it.
If you mean that you are trying to give music to others, then this is not legal.

  • Lost Purchased Music Playlist

I have purchased music from iTunes but no Purchased Music playlist. How do I create one? Thx, Vermont

I've used your technique to create an MP3 playlist.
I created a smart-playlist using "kind" as a criteria and MP and a "match" parameter. That action created a MP3 plus MP4 playlist. Then I used the Search Bar to select only MUSIC resulting in my mp3 list.
Is there an easier way to do that? Tried MP3 as a match parameter, but iTunes does not recognize it.

  • Upgrade to 7.4.3.1 - Lost Purchased Music, Playlists and Library

I upgraded to 7.4.3.1 last weekend. This weekend I start iTunes and none of my 100+ songs are listed in my library, all of my playlists are gone (replaced with the generic 90's Music, Music Videos, My Top Rated, Recently Added, Recently Played, Top 25 Most Played) playlists - all of which are empty. Also under the "Store" heading...my Purchased folder is gone. I must have had 30+ purchased songs in there.
Any ideas how to get everything back?

Hi, I had the EXACT same thing happen to me.
Upgrade to 7.4.3.1 - Lost Purchased Music, Playlists and Library.
I let iTunes update last Sunday 10/14/07 and today I opened it up and Vista started rebuilding the library, then crashed and said it did not have a solution to this problem and shut iTunes down.
It created a, iTunes Library (Damaged).itl file.
I tried the help file that said to drag the C:\Users\ME\Music\iTunes Music folder onto my Library folder but it crashed after transferring 20 songs or so.
All of my music is in this iTunes Music folder so it is just a matter of trying to get iTunes and Vista to rebuild my Library so I can recreate my Playlist.
So I will keep looking for a solution, but this is getting silly !

  • New Purchased Music Playlist

My purchased music playlist doesn't seem to show up. Can I recover it? The music files are there just not the playlist. Do I need to create a new one? I don't remember creating that playlist in the first place.

Well, it'll be re-created next time you buy something from iTunes. iTunes always has a free download, so you can use that.
Then, in the library, sort by Kind. Drag all Protected AAC Files into the playlsit.

  • Purchased Music Playlist Oraganization

Is there anyway that i can arange my "Purchased Music" playlist on iTunes so that it will show up in order of when it was downloaded?
Thanks for all of your help!!!!

Make a new smart playlist with the following criterias:
    - Match all
    - Format is Protected AAC
    - Max. [whatever limit you want] sorted by Added - Most recent

  • Purchased Music Playlist Deleted

It seems that my Purchased playlist from the Store menu is gone. How do I get it back?

It will re-appear on your next purchase.
In the meantime, you can create a new Smart Playlist and set as rule:
    Kind - contains - protected
This playlist then will contain all your purchases and always will be up-to-date.
After your 'Purchased' playlist appears again, you can add your previous purchased music to it.
Although the 'Purchased' playlist is a special one, it behaves like a normal playlist and you can in fact add anything to it.
    Hope this helps.

  • Deleting IPHONE PURCHASED music

I bought childrens music with my iPhone. I no longer want these tracks in my iPhone. How do I delete the music I purchased with my phone.

You can't delete music from an iPhone.
After purchasing music with your iPhone, the music should be transferred to your iTunes library with the first sync after doing so - along with an iTunes playlist created under Store named Purchased on - the name of your iPhone.
In order to remove the music from your iPhone, you need to deselect the music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences. If you have chosen to sync selected playlists for your iPhone sync preferences, deselect this playlist in the window below followed by a sync.

  • How can I delete iTunes purchased music

Music I purchsed from iTunes is synced to my iPad. However, there are a couple of tracks I do not want but can find no way to delete them. I have deleted them from my iMac and Mac Mini but they still apear on the iPad. It's no big deal but I like to have control over devices I own and this is an irritation. How can I permanently delete purchased music from the iPad?

OK so I'm answering my own question. After deleting purchased music from my iMac and Mac Mini, it still appeared on my iPad. However, on opening Music in the iPad, I found that by holding my finger against the track I wanted to delete and swiping to the right, a red DELETE tag appeared at the right-hand end of the track title line. Tapping this tab deleted the title and it has not returned. I repeated this for all of the purchased titles I wanted to remove and it has worked.
I have not found any reference to this facility elsewhere but, believe me, it works.

  • Deleting old purchased music

I have some music that I want to get rid of, I have grown tired of listening to it. So I went ahead and deleted the songs I didn't want anymore. What happens is once I plug the iPod touch into the MacBook, they automatically seem to come right back! How can I permanently get rid of these songs I do not wish to listen to anymore, and if possible, is there a way I can restore iTunes? Since of course, it used to ask me if I wanted my old purchased music back in the beginning.
    Thanks again

You need to Manage you iPod MANUALLY. Set it to manually manage my iPod in the window that opens up when connecting the iPod to iTunes and then you can delete or add songs, movies, etc.
If you leave it in automatic sync mode it will always match what is in iTunes to the iPod
