Deleted site, still appears in SCCM 2012 console status: deleting...

Hi i recently encountered a problem after deleting a secondary site, but it seems to happen only under my user account on the primary site console, here's the thing
I deleted the site, and the log shows that the site was succesfully deleted, i connected to the server and the logs are ok, and the registry no longer has any SMS keys left to delete, and in programs files, both the configuration manager files, and the sql
files were also deleted/uninstalled correctly, but in my console, the site still appears as Deleting...
Note that I was the one who created it in the first place, and apparently I'm the only one who can still see it..., I open the console in both, the primary site server, and on my computer, and it shows as deleting, under Administration > sites configuration
> sites, and I can still see the server on the site and site sistem roles, and that's it, and if I switch to the Central Site, is not there, which I guess is good
I checked on both my colleagues, and they don't see the site anywhere, just me under my user account connected to the primary site
Now, i did ran the Preinst /DELSITE command and it says that it couldn't find the data base for the site, which is good as well
Part of the problem is that, I have to re-install the site, and if I run the setup connected to the primary site under my account, it says that the name already exists (i have to re-use the site code as per request) and if I run the same setup but
connected to CAS or a colleague does it on primary or cas, the setup continues without the warning saying that the site code already exists
So I would just like to find a way to delete it from my console or find the reason that's causing it, to avoid further conflics for that secundary site

Have you deleted from AD Container ? did you cheked the hman.log ? is the replication ok?

  • Connect via Windows Powershell in SCCM 2012 CONSOLE (with PowerShell 4.0 installed)

    Hi,
When trying to "Connect via Windows Powershell" in the SCCM 2012 console, I get the message that Powershell 3.0 is not installed... (which actually isn't installed, we have PS4.0 installed). Do we need to install PS3.0 also to get it working
or is there a workaround? Connecting manually to the site via Powershell 4.0 (Get-Psdrive -psprovider CMSITE) works like a charm.

    Hi,
I have installed WMF 4.0 on Windows Server 2008 R2 sp1, it works fine.
Please try to use "$PSVersionTable" to confirm Powershell version is 4.0. At first, I forgot to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5, then the console gave me the message that Powershell 3.0 is not installed.

Can you provide a few more details. What else do you have running on the server (other apps, site system roles, synchronization processes, number of clients etc). Do you have any I/O issues, processor issues, memory leaks etc

  • SCCM 2012: enable powershell execution policy for SCCM 2012 console

    Hi,
I always get stuck settings up the remote sccm 2012 powershell (cd psdrive sitecode:). Maybe not a real sccm 2012 question but Powershell but wonder what steps you take to make it work (it works on our production environment, setting up in a lab always gives
me headaches, will defintely write the solution down this time :-)).
Please advise what the steps are in configuring remote powershell for SCCM 2012.
1.my personal account "Myuser" has admin-rights in sccm 2012
2.I can open Powershell logged on to the sccm 2012 server then opening sccm 2012 console, connect via powershell
3.however, when I connect remote to the sccm server, I get the error:
. : File C:\Users\Myuser\Documents\WindowsPowerShell\Microsoft.PowerShell_profile.ps1 cannot be loaded. The file C:\Use

ipt on the current system. For more information about running scripts and setting execution policy, see about_Execution
    _Policies at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=135170.
4.So I connect to the sccm-server and ask for the execution policy to unrestricted, I get this:
    set-executionpolicy unrestricted
    [Y] Yes  [N] No  [S] Suspend  [?] Help (default is "Y"): y
Set-ExecutionPolicy : Windows PowerShell updated your execution policy successf

    Please advise.

Those client settings are only for the actions performed by the ConfigMgr client. Normal PowerShell actions are restricted to the configured execution policy on the machine.

  • How many SCCM 2012 consoles are supported

    Hello,
I have been asked to determine how many SCCM 2012 consoles we can run in our environment. We have a large number of support staff (100+) that need to have access to Remote Tools and possibly some Collections for application deployment.
I didn't see anything from my quick search on TechNet or the web about this issue.
Also, is there any web console (or similar) that can be used, instead of giving access to the console?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Angelo
    Angelo

There is no limit that I know of. The only limitation would be the server hardware. If giving support staff access to the console worries you, you can use other means.
    1. Give users just the remote control/remote tool apps
    2. Link collection to security groups and allow support staff to modify the groups.

  • SCCM 2012 Console (SP1 with CU4)

I am trying to package the SCCM 2012 console (with SP1) and with and without CU4.  Both packages give me the following error in the event log. 'the virtual application.....could not be started because the App-V subsystem 'Virtual FileSystem' could not

I've re-sequenced the app, had another package create a different package too and both get the same error.

  • SCCM 2012 Console - slow performance when browsing in Applications Deployments

    Hi There,
we are experiencing a slow Console (SCCM 2012 R2 CU1, one Primary) if we go to Software Library > Applications and than clicking on Deployments. It takes up to 2 Minutes if we get results of the Deployments which depend to the Application. It Doesn´t
matter if there are 0 or 20 Deployments.
It only occurs if the SCCM Admins do not have full Admin rights in SCCM.
The reason must be the Security Scopes, because all Admins have full rights to be a "Application Deployment Manager".
Can somebody help me to get rid of this Problem?

  • SCCM 2012 Console Not Saving Customizations

I am actually unsure of whether this is by design or if I am just doing something wrong. That being said, I am using the console for Management of SCCM 2012 and whenever I close the Admin Window all of the changes I have added to the console are gone.
For example I added "Last Infected Threat" and "Last Infection Time" to my devices view and it works great. Close the app and re-launch and it is gone.
Am I just battling against the design of the software, or is it supposed to save settings?

  • SCCM 2012 Clients status Unknow

    Hi
We're using SCCM 2012 to send patch to my clients using ADR, but in the monitor for the deployment, shows aroud 35% of equipment in the status unknow: "Client ckeck passed/inactive" and "Client check passed/Active", I took some of the equipments and manually
refreshed all the Action, but this continue showin in unknow state.
Any Idea why all these machines appear like unknow? I refreshed the actions in the client machine and continue with the same status.
    Thanks
    Doc MX

    Hi guys,
I've had a bit of a breakthrough with this.  I had 4 servers that were appearing as active/passed.  The client installed fine but nothing else was happening.  Tried reinstalling the client and deleting the CCM folders but nothing.
On one of the machines Windows Update was also failing and in trying to fix this, I've fixed the SCCM issue and it's received updates and now moved to the In progress tab and one is compliant.
I found this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 and ran the fix it tool on the server.  It found some errors and fixed them.  Had to run it twice on one server as it fixed an error the second time around.  On completion I kicked off the
software update scan cycles on the clients and within a few minutes the console appeared.
As I type, I'm two servers down and awaiting the scans on the other two.  Fingers crossed!

  • SCCM 2012 console cannot connect to the site

Last Friday for some unknown reason my SCCM console stopped connecting to the site. Reboots of both site servers (MP and database) did nothing. The error is the same as this picture:  http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q0A5GonM498/UCDkreFxc9I/AAAAAAAAAQk/67AQ5tGW_d4/s1600/SCCM%2BConsole.JPG.
I went home for the weekend and on Monday I was actually able to connect to the site. It would take about an hour, but finally the console would load, with the correct information from the site. If I clicked on a different area in the console it would take
forever (about 20 minutes), but it would finally change to that view as well. In troubleshooting I followed all the steps in the attached article, except rebuilding the MOFs.  (http://schadda.blogspot.com/2012/08/how-to-fix-issues-related-with_7.html)
After finding that none of that helped I installed CU4 hoping that would help. It completed, but with errors in building the four packages (console, x86, x64 and server). Now the console goes back to the original error and won't connect at all, including
    from the actual server.
I have checked and there does not appear to be any bottleneck between the two servers. Network is as it was previously and I can still telnet to the SQL port (1433) from the Management Point.
    Infrastructure:
2 servers, running Server 2012 R2 - one server is running everything except the SQL services; SQL Services are running on the second server
SCCM is at 2012 R2 level (now at CU4, was at CU3 at start of problem)
Thank you in advance for your help.

This is last entry in the SMSProv.log file. It doesn't show any errors and it just terminates at the time the problem began for us.

When updating to CU4, did you have the required permissions to update the database? I have seen similar errors when this has not been the case.
    Have a look in
    C:\Windows\Temp\CM12-R2CU4-KB3026739-X64-ENU.log
and see if you have any errors like this:
The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object ‘fnIsPrimary’,database
    ‘CM_P01’, schema ”dbo"

  • Site still appears, but working pages gone from computer!

HELP! Had to have my HD replaced on my 1 year old macbook. First time I've had to try and retrieve backed up info from my .mac backup program.
Everything seemed to pop back in fine except iweb. None of my working web pages are there anymore! It's like starting for the first time.
Now, when I go to the site which I had saved in my favorites, the site is there as last published.
How do I get it back? Can I? If I make a new one and publish it, will it over write this one? Any help is appreciated!
    Bill

Think I just came accross another posting that says I can't retrieve it.....
Maybe someone can still tell me this. If I create a NEW webpage, will it overwrite the current one or does it give me a new site location?
    Thanks!

  • Site code available with SCCM 2012 R2

    Hi,
    After running this:
    Import-Module (Join-Path $(Split-Path $env:SMS_ADMIN_UI_PATH) ConfigurationManager.psd1)
Is it a way to "find" what are the site code available? I was thinking get-cmsite would do the job but not before moving... to the site code.

    Hi,
    Try this:
    Get-PSDrive | Where { $_.Provider.Name -eq 'CMSite' }
EDIT: Slow on submit, see above.
