Deleted tv shows shows in itunes

Hi....I downloaded TV shows to my iphone 4 (with IOS 5) and have manually deleted them on the phone.  They do not show BUT they show in iTunes.  No matter how many times I remove them in iTunes for the iphone, they keep showing up.  The same thing with 3 "streaming" videos (TV shows) showing up gray.
Please advise.

I had the same problem.
Go to iTunes
Click Store --> View my Apple ID (enter ID)
On the "Account Information" page, go down to "iTunes in the Cloud" and click on "View Hidden Purchases"
The categories are listed across the top (Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc.) Click on a category, then click on what you want to restore on the left hand column. Click on the item on the right and it will open up and you can choose "unhide" then they'll be available on your apple tv again.
I hope this helps!

How can I delete tv shows from itunes?

Hello, Maybe you could go to iTunes and delete or move those files from there. Open up iTunes-------->In the top right corner go to Ipad------->once you are there, in the top part, you will find were it says Summary/Apps/Tones/Music/etc...on there click on Movies or Tv Shows, not sure where you have those videos. Once you are there you will see Little boxes right by the Movie name, those boxes have a check on them...which means they are synced on your Ipad. If you don't want them anymore click those boxes so the check disapears. If you don't want any of those files just in the Top tittle were it says: Sync Tv Shows, if there is a Check on the box...click the box so the Check dissapears and now click "Sync" at the bottom, and booom all the series have dissapeared from your Ipad I hope this helped and if you have any other questions please don't be shy to ask....

  • How to delete TV Shows from iTunes Library

How do I delete TV Shows from the iTunes Library?  I have tried right clicking and selecting delete...I have tried dragging them to the recycling bin....NOTHING seems to work.
Everytime I connect my iPhone to my computer iTunes tries to upload the TV shows to my phone...
I just want them deleted & gone for good!
    Help! Please!

    I found it!
In the upper left corner click on the TV Shows icon.
On the right about half way down click on "Purchased".
This is the important part, click on "My TV Shows". A list of all of your shows will appear.
Click on the show you want to delete. You can select all seasons or a single season or just a single show.
Click on "Edit" in the menu bar near the top of the page. If you don't see the menu bar press ctrl+B to show/hide the menu bar.
Click on "Delete" and you will be prompted to confirm the delete. Click "Delete".
You will then be asked if you want to keep the files. Click on "Delete Files".

  • Delete TV Shows from iTunes/Free Up Hard Drive

I've downloaded several seasons of TV shows using iTunes that has taken up a lot of hard drive space. In an attempt to free up space I deleted these from the Library in iTunes. However, they must be stored in another file somewhere on the hard drive as it is still almost full. Unfortunately, when viewing the different files on the hard drive it doesn't specify the size of each file, which would make it easier to pinpoint what is taking up so much space.
I've located the iTunes folder on the HD and have deleted the Previous iTunes Libraries. Also, the iTunes Music folder appears to only contain songs, not any TV shows.
Any suggestions on where to look to delete these permanently?

Select a file of that kind in iTunes, press command+r to reveal the location in Finder. They are probably bunched together.
When you say you deleted them from the Library do you mean just the reference in itunes or actually from a folder in Finder?
If you have itunes organize you music for you it will usually delete an item when you remove it from the library, otherwise you have to do this yourself.

  • How do I delete radio shows from iTunes and my iPod at the same time?

I have a lot of old time radio shows on my iPod. First, I copy them from iTunes to listen to on my iPod. When I am done, I want to delete BOTH of them at the same time. I am trying to avoid having to search for both because, for some reason, I cannot search both the iTunes and the iPod content at the same time. I obviously do not want them synced. In the previous version of iTunes, I was able to do with a key command. Now, I cannot figure out how to do it. ( I really wish there was a way I could color each selection so that I can find which ones I copied to the iPod easily. You know, just like how it's done in the operating system, where we can add the color label.)
Anyway, is there a way to do what I want, or am I stuck with searching separately, and then deleting them separately? Laborious indeed. Oh, yes, the duplicate function doesn't work here because you can't search both the iPod and iTunes at the same time.
Thanks in advance to all you smartie-pants out there.

when you purchas e a tv show from the itunes music store and then sync it to the ipod. there will appear a new name in th evideo subsection of videos on the ipod called tv shows thats where they will be and where you can watch the,.

  • If I delete TV shows from iTunes, will it delete them off my Apple TV?

I want to free up space on my computer by moving all my TV Show/Movie purchases to an external hard drive. After I "move" them to the external hard drive, can I delete them from my computer without them deleting off my Apple TV 2? I never watch TV shows or Movies from my computer, only my Apple TV 2.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can move your content to an external drive and still keep it in iTunes without needing a copy on the computer itself. The Apple TV will still play this content in the same way it does if it was on your computer.
Redownloading of purchased movies on the Apple TV (or anywhere for that matter) is only available in the US.

  • How do you remove TV shows from ITunes,

I have removed them from my iPad and it says there are no videos but they are still in my iTunes on my iPad and I want to load another show and it is telling me that I do not have the space on my iPad

Because, like the initial question pointed to,
Two different topics seem to have been in this thread.
The initial question (by Spanky0212) simply asked how to delete TV shows from iTunes.
Then jwutzkechimed in with deleting downloads, not items that are already in iTunes.
but they will constantly come back when you do a sync/update/check for downloads.
Sync, update and check for downloads are completely different tasks and in no way related.
Sync does just that. it syncs the iDevice with iTunes.
Update will update OS the iDevice.
Check for downloads has nothign to do with iDevice. It checks iTunes store for items you have not completed downloading.
I don't know why the DELETE / MOVE FILES TO TRASH option doesn't work in iTunes; but the directions I listed above does.
Are the items you are trying to delete, located in the iTunes media folder shown in iTunes prefs > Advanced?
Do you have Keep iTunes media folder organized checked? If not to either of these, iTunes will not delete them.
Per your instructions above, the item will still be listed in iTunes.

  • Delete tv shows

    Hi
On my hard drive I had a lot of TV shows downloaded from iTunes store and they were using up a lot of disk space.
To free up some disk space I purchased an external hard drive, followed the instructions and transferred all my music and TV shows to my new external drive where they are now all sitting merrily in a new folder and all the files have been transferred into 6 files called "Audiobooks, automatically Add to iTunes, Mobile applications, Music,Podcasts, TV shows.
The problem that I having is that although I can find the music files on my existing hard drive I cannot find in which file the TV shows are stored on my existing hard drive so as I delete them.
    Any suggestions, please?

On my internal HD the TV Shows are located in a folder named 'TV Shows'. This is located in the iTunes music folder. I take that you mean file to be a folder.
To delete TV Shows from iTunes use the iTunes interface. Select the show(s) and then the delete key. You will get a dialog asking to keep the files or move to the trash. To free up your internal disk space select the move to trash option. Then empty the trash. If you remove the content via the Finder then you will get the ! and the iTunes library data base will not be correct.

  • HT201322 I have deleted tv shows I purchased but they still show up on my iphone.  They are not in the cloud or in Itunes under purchased.

I deleted some old music videos and 6 tv shows from ITunes.  I had purchased them.  Yet they still appear on my Iphone (yes they do have a cloud in the bottom right corner), but they don't show up in my purchases when  sign in and check in the cloud, nor do they show up in Itunes.  It is as if they are hung up in the cloud, and I cant delete them.  There is no trace of them anywhere in the ITunes Library or Cloud.  I see them in my Recycle bin on the desktop.  Any suggestions?  Been to Apple 3xs this week.  They keep giving me the mini tutorial on hiding purchases and deleting unwanted items from itunes, but nothing is there, it is merely not going away...meaning still on my phone, even when wiped clean and itunes downloaded again. Anyone?  Thank you.

If they are showing in the Videos app with a cloud then go into Settings > iTunes & App Store on your phone and set Videos (under the 'Show All') heading 'off' - you might (depending upon which country that you arein) have a similar button for music and the Music app.

  • Can I delete a TV show from itunes using apple tv?

I've been using EyeTV to export TV shows to iTunes so that I can watch those shows on my Apple TV 2.  It works great, but when I'm done watching a show on my Apple TV 2, I'd like to delete the show from my iTunes library.  As far as I know, I have to actually go to my mac and delete the show in the iTunes program to remove it.  I'd like to be able to delete that show from my iTunes library using either Apple TV or my iPhone.  Is there a way to do that?  Similar to how you can delete a show from your Tivo or other DVR just using your remote.
(Trying to improve the ease of using the eyetv --> itunes --> apple TV combo to replace our Dish Network DVR.)

If this has happened more than once the problem is likely on your PC.

You should have at least 10% of your total storage.
1 GB is not enough, you need to delete more

  • HT204370 How do I permanently delete purchased movies or TV shows from itunes?

How can I permanently delete purchased movies or TV shows from itunes?

You can't currently permanently delete items, all you can do is hide them so that they are less visible : hiding and unhiding.  At the moment you can't hide items directly on iOS 6 devices, but you should be able to do it via your computer's iTunes.
