Deleted uninstall button Creative Cloud

Hi I accidentally deleted my uninstall button but the Creative cloud folder is still there. So when I try to redownload cloud it says it is already running. I have been trying to download a free trial of Illustrator for over an hour. Help would be greatly appreciated. I am running this on a Mac.

I am sorry Skeller0216 but what specific errors are you receiving?  What version of Mac OS do you have installed?

  • Deleting files on Creative Cloud - does it really delete them?

In the absence of Creative Cloud Connection to sync files, I have been replacing files with new versions by simply deleting the old one and uploading the newer version.  Since they are the same file, obviously they have the same file name on my hard disk.
However, Creative Cloud automatically appends a number to the end of the new file.  Attempts to rename it back to the original name just cause the number to increment forwards or backwards to the next number.  It really seems as if the original file is still there, just invisible.
Presumably this limitation will disappear with the release of Creative Cloud Connection, but I wonder why it is there in the first place.  If it remains, it's going to be a real pain.  Will it result in the synced files on your hard disk also having their names changed, or perhaps even being duplicated?
In case any of this wasn't clear, here's an example:
Upload a file, let's say it's called Erik.  Now delete it from Creative Cloud and upload it again.  The new file will be called Erik 1.  Try to rename it back to Erik, and watch it change to Erik 2.  Further attempts to change it back to Erik result in it switching between Erik 1 and Erik 2 repeatedly.  The system will not allow you to rename it to the previously deleted filename Erik.

Deletion is a two stage process. First you Trash the file then you Permanently delete it.
In the same row as you used to Trash the file there is a drop-down combo box to the right. After trashing the file switch from All to Deleted and you will be able to Permanently Delete the file.
I will also investigate the issue you are describing in the last paragraph.

  • Reinstalling a deleted app in Creative Cloud.

    Hi
When I joined Creative Cloud as one of the many apps I downloaded was inDesign CC.
However it never launched without error and Creative Cloud keep saying it needed that same update for over two weeks. It seemed as if I installed this update many times or that's what Creative Cloud told me!
So today I decided to Delete inDesign commpletely from my Mac before them reinstalling it.
The deleting part of this when fine.
However I can not reinstall it as Creative Cloud is still telling me it's installed!
Is there a way of bypasting this or getting CC to believe it's uninstalled?
    Many Thanks
    Alan

  • Silently uninstalling all Creative Cloud components on Windows

    Hi
We have a package containing Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat and our silent installation works fine, but uninstalling all components have left me with a single challange beyond my capabilities. The last component I need to remove silently is the Creative Cloud application using the "Creative Cloud Uninstaller.exe" located in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\Utils. No matter how I execute that program it will not be silent. A prompt is presented every time asking me whether I want to remove the application with the options Uninstall or Cancel. Additional it's not a problem I had with CS6, but an entirely new one included with CS7 aka CC
We are using a software deployment tool to deploy Creative Cloud for Teams to the persons that have a license and use the same tool to remove the software when it need to be replace by something newer or license is moved to another person.
    Any tips?
    Anders

    Hi again,
    A quick update.
I realized that our organization don't have any need for the Creative Cloud desktop application, hence I created a new package and excluded it. At first I didn't understand this was possible, but at the 2nd step in CCP (create package) if you click the blue colored (Change) button and check the first check box, you disable the Creative Cloud desktop application.
    HTH you and others!
    /Pelle

  • How do I uninstall/reinstall Creative Cloud in it's entirety?

Recently Acrobat XI stopped printing to pdf.  (It allows saving as pdf fine, but will not print to pdf.) I tried uninstalling Acrobat via an uninstall utility, (Revo) then downloading another copy and reinstalling, but it still would not print to pdf.  Someone advised using the "Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool (AdbeArCleaner_v2.exe) to completely remove the installation.  I foolishly failed to notice that this utility was for stand-alone installs only, not one part of Creative Cloud.  It removed Acrobat from my computer, but it shows as still installed via Creative Cloud, and I can't download another copy to reinstall.  (I haven't tried to install Acrobat as a stand-alone download trial as offered elsewhere, but assumed in my case I have to use a Creative Cloud version for whatever reason.  At this point, the safest thing to do may be to uninstall the whole thing, then reinstall it, but when I uninstalled CC via the add/remove in Conrol Panel, Photoshop and Illustrator remained behind.  So- I downloaded the CC program once again, hoping by some miracle that might fix things.  No luck.
I am starting to think that the best solution is to completely remove the whole suite, then re-download and reinstall it all over again from scratch.  At this point, I don't want to go any further without some expert advice and risk messing things up any further.    Any help anyone can give is most appreciated.
