  • Will deleting user & group accounts make server inoperable or damaged? See ScreenShots

    Should I delete the unknow users and groups below?  I have no idea what there purpose or intent is.

    Those entries are related to various operations operations of your system and your server.  If you scroll down through that user list, you'll find the web server user; the environment that runs the Apache web server, for instance.
    Bad Things will happen if you start deleting those users and those groups.  OS X intentionally hides a number of users (technically those with user IDs below 500) just because folks were modifying or deleting them and getting into trouble.  Some deletions might not be noticed, or might not be a problem until you need the associated component, and deleting certain other users could cause immediate problems.
    If you wish to learn more about the Unix underpinnings of OS X (and OS X Server) and about the environment that these users operate in, then that will probably best be via the command line and Terminal.app and more direct exploration of the Unix command line and operating system.
    Otherwise, you will probably want to disable viewing the system accounts, and leave those existing entries unmodified.
    In general, I'd avoid deleting and modifying bits, at least to start with.  If (when?) you do decide to start making to hidden users and Unix-layer settings, either use a test system, or have a backup should the modifications not work out, or both.  Have a path to recover your data.

  • In which table deleted user list is stored

    Hi all,
    I have made one user ZTEST in sap through SU01. Its details has been stored in USR01 .
    When i deleted this user than the details of this user has been deleted from the tables USR01.
    After deletion on which table deleted user information is stored.
    Any BAPI is available which sgives the deleted table list .
    Thanks & regards

    Hi Lolo,
    There is no table available in SAP to view the deleted user information. But you can connect to SQL & see the deleted user information.
    I think the command " SQL>show recyclebin;" will show you the deleted user information.

  • How to delete users listed in Maintenance

    Just ran across an archived query with this exact problem, and a pointer to how to discover the answer, so I thought I'd add some details:
    When you have created and removed user accounts, the mail accounts end up stuck in the Cyrus database. Here's how to remove them:
    edit /etc/imapd.conf and add one of your existing Email users (<user>) as an administrator.
    In Server Admin:Mail, stop and restart the service.
    Using an IMAP client, connect to that user. I used Webmail, as it's an IMAP client.
    Now go back to your shell and:
    $ cd /usr/bin/cyrus/admin
    $ ./cyradm -u <user> localhost
    <You'll be asked for the Email password of that user.>
    localhost> lam *
    <this will give you a list of all mailboxes, note that the name of the mailbox probably looks like:
    "Other Users/username", the whole thing is important and case-sensitive>
    localhost> sam "Other Users/username" anyone all
    <this gives anyone all privileges (ACLS) to that mailbox>
    localhost> dm "Other Users/username"
    <this deletes the mailbox and all associated folders>
    Rinse-Lather-Repeat till they are all gone.
    Enjoy!

  • Delete Vendor List

    Hi All ,
    how do we delete Vendor list in SRM system . From the Transaction process vendor list (BBPAVLMAINT) i can  create vendor list and  dispaly vendor list  but where do we delete the vendor list ??
    waiting anxiously for the  reply !!
    Thanks and Regards

    Yeh,
    Desactivating the vendor list avoids the users to see/use them in the SC transaction.
    PS: To only allow vendor lists in the SC transaction use IMG: "Define Sourcing via Vendor List only".

  • How to remove User IDs for deleted users from the Disk Quota list

    Hello,
    We have a computer lab setup with an Xserve managing 15 stations in the lab. Users are setup with networked home directories and quota's are setup on the drive containing the home directories to limit users' storage.
    The user account and the quota limit are setup with Workgroup Manager. When a student has been gone for a while and we are sure they no longer need the account we delete their account within Workgroup Manager and move their Home folder to the trash.
    When viewing disk usage in Server Admin (by selecting the volume and clicking the Quatas tab) user ids for deleted users are listed and it still shows the disk usage and quota settings for the user.
    How can I remove theses user ids from the quota list?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I would restore User's file structre back to normal just by copying from standby user?
    Did you mean copy files to a new user profile? If so, hope this link can be helpful for you
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/fix-corrupted-user-profile#1TC=windows-7
    For the unknown user, as you said, it's probably a user account from second OS or
    action. If you're annoying about this unknown user, then you can remove all occurrences of granted rights to the specified SID with this command icals [/remove[:g|:d]] <Sid>[...]] [/t] [/c] [/l] [/q]

  • Snow Leopard Server - Can't delete users in WGM?

    Hi!
    I have 2 Mac OS X Server 10.6.4 machines. One is an OD-master and the other is a replica. Since last week I haven't been able to delete user accounts in WGM. It doesn't give me any error and at first glance it looks like the account is deleted, but the account pops up again when searching for that user i WGM.
    I also noticed that Server Admin freezes and need a force quit when I click the "Settings" tab for det OD-service.
    I suspect the two problems are related somehow, but I can't figure out how to fix them. I've read through a couple of forum posts here but couldn't find anyone with a similar question/problem.
    Changing passwords and other settings work fine on user accounts. The syncing between OD master and Replica also works.
    The problem is identical on both machines. Deleting accounts doesn't work and Server Admin crashes when checking the "settings" tab on the OD-service.
    Has anyone got a clue what I should do och look for?

    I managed to solve the problem a couple of days ago. This is what I did.
    At first I thought Server Admin crashed when choosing the OD-service, but I was mistaken. It didn't crash, just stalled for a long time (up to 20 minutes as soon as I clicked on something in the OD-service).
    My main concern was that my latest OD-backup was a month old and I really wanted a fresh archive before I tried to rebuild the OD-master. So if you already have a working archive you can skip the next part.
    Another problem was that the archive-feature did not work at all on any of my two servers.. I could reach the archive-function (with 20 minutes delay on each click) but it resulted in no archive and didn't give me any errors, so I'm glad I checked to see that an archive was actually made. So I promoted my replica to an OD-master and after that Server Admin didn't freeze for 20 minutes any more in the OD-service and the archive function worked again. So I did a fresh archive.
    Now that I had a fresh OD-archive I demoted the (original) OD-master to a Standalone server. Then made it an OD-master again and imported the OD-archive I made from the replica. Everything worked fine and I could delete users again and Server Admin didn't freeze any more. I hooked up the replica to the OD-master and since then I've had no problem. I hope this helps someone else with the same/similar problem.

  • We have a long list of disabled/deleted users in AD Somehow, they are still appeared as active user in Sharepoint Online. How do we get rid of those list? Hope you can advice. Thanks.

    we have a long list of disabled/deleted users in AD
    Somehow, they are still appeared as active user in Sharepoint Online.
    How do we get rid of those list?
    Hope you can advice. Thanks.

    SharePoint does not remove users from SharePoint permissions just because they were deleted/disabled in AD. This is to maintain referential integrity. In fact, when you delete a user from SharePoint, that user remains in the SharePoint content database,
    just marked as deleted.
    They do not have access to SharePoint given their account is deleted/disabled. But as far as automatically managing this, I'm not aware of a tool. On-prem there is Metalogix ControlPoint which does a great job of this, I haven't explored the O365 options.

  • How to get list of logged-in users from Flash Media Server in a Flash programm? (Or login/logout notifications)

    Hi there,
    I'm Very sorry for asking this. I guess it's a very basic problem, but I'm very new to Flash and Flash media Server and I need a very fast answer...
    Currently I'm working on a Director project using a flash program which connects to Flash Media Server (I guess version 3, it's quite old). Unfortunately they forgot to make a flash method to send the actual userlist (or a notification when someone logged in or out) to Director. AND, unfortunately, they lost the source code of that flash programm, so I cannot look into it or alter it *sigh*.
    Now I want to do a new flash programm which covers the old one, letting all known methods "pass trough" and building an additional method to gain the user list (or login/out notification).
    How do I get the login information from Flash Media Server? (Would be good if you could provide an idea already for flash code... as I said I'm a tard at flash till now)
    Thank you so much. And I hope you understand my situation asking here...
    Jana

    hparmar : yes, that's what I feared... I hoped it would be possible to tell the server from which application I do need the login information. What a mess.
    Dimo Hristov: thanks for your offer! I already tried decompiling the flash program with the shareware version of Trillix Decompiler. It only decompiled the UI (in a terrible way) but no source code at all. It was the shareware version where I can decompile 2 or 3 programms to test the software. Are you sure the non-free version of Trilix Flash Decompiler will do..?

  • Can't Delete User Account - On Mac Os X Server

    Hi, I am running Server v 2.2.1 on Mountain Lion 10.8.3 (I don't see a community set up for this new server software so I'm asking here)
    I just created a user  account in the server but made a mistake and for some reason it won't let me delete the account.
    Clicking on the little minus box does nothing and when I go into the "edit user" everything is greyed out accept for the "Administer the server" checkbox.
    Other accounts I've created don't have this issue so I'm not sure what is going on.
    Is there a way to delete this account? Maybe from the Terminal?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    I figured it out. For some reason there was no admin write access to the User folders.

  • Deleting users in SRM

    We have loaded some 6000 users in SRM system and all are assigned to an org unit. Now i want to clean up all the data, delete all the users and their dependencies but not the org unit. The users should be deleted completely, should not be seen in SU01 also.
    Can some expert help me with this.

  • After changing a mail list name in Server end, users can't see the update in outlook client

    Dear all,
    This is a real issue. I am a Help-desk in a global company and after changing a mail list name in Server end, users can't see the update in outlook client. Even I download Offline address book in full detail, user still can't see the change in her outlook.
    Does anyone know how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Franklin hong

    Hi,
    Would you please detail what you did by "changing a mail list name in Server end"? What is the mail list and what server?
    If you switch to Online Mode instead of Cached Exchange Mode, does the user see the change?

    It's recommended to download and install

  • CSUtil -s and list of (deleted) users?

    I would like to
    get a text list of the defined users so I work with csutil.exe -d. This
    tool writes a dump.txt file that includes deleted users (I don't see
    them via the web interface).
    I tested csutil -s to "make database smaller
    by removing deleted users" as it is written in the doc but it doesn't work.
    Is there a way to get a copy of the user list presented on the web
    interface ? If not, how can I identify deleted records in the dump file
    (a status fields anywhere ?).

    I searched some TAC cases for answers to your questions.
    Here's what I found:
    "Like many relational databases, the CiscoSecure user database handles the deletion of records by marking deleted records as deleted but not removing the record from the database. Over time, your CiscoSecure user database may be substantially larger than is required by the number of users it contains. To reduce the CiscoSecure user database size, you can compact it periodically."
    It looks like to remove the deleted users, you need to compact the database with a command like this:
    CSUtil.exe -d -n -l
    Please refer to this link for more info about compacting the dB & to make sure you follow the precautions like backing up the database, etc.
    http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_soft/csacs4nt/csnt30/user/ae.htm#72126
    Seems like once you compact the dB, you can re-run your report to dump out all the users. This time, the deleted users should not be there.
    thanks

  • Get a list of users logged on each server node in a clustered environment

    Hi,
    does anybody know if there is way to get a list of users which are logged on each server node in a clustered environment. Or maybe is there api for that so I could write an application which does that?
    Regards
    Ladislav

    Hi,
    about the code I was looking at - easily you can find out that these iviews are components of <b>com.sap.portal.admin.monitor.par</b>. The thread Thread Overview is implemented by: <i>com.sapportals.portal.admin.psm.PortalServerMonitor</i>. In <i>getThreadsData</i> method there is a parameter <b>portalMonitor</b> so it led me to this code in <i>doContent</i>:
    /* 143*/          IPortalMonitor portalMonitor = (IPortalMonitor)PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService("com.sap.portal.runtime.application.monitor.PortalMonitor");
    /* 144*/          IPSMData psmData = portalMonitor.getIPSMDataInstance();
    So I have found <i>com.sap.portal.runtime.application.monitor.par</i> and there is a service implemented by <i>com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.monitor.PortalMonitor</i> where is <i>com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.monitor.MonitorCommunication</i>. And this is a service which calls all the nodes in the cluster around asking for info about the threads, requests, ... Here is a method <i>getMonitoringData</i> which works with object <i>com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.monitor.MonitorData</i>. Here in method <i>getThreadOverview</i>:
    /* 396*/          ApplThreadOverview oATOs[] = OverviewMonitor.getApplThreads();
    So in this <i>OverviewMonitor</i> the method <i>getApplThreads</i>:
                 public static ApplThreadOverview[] getApplThreads()
    /*  50*/          return ApplThreadMonitor.getApplThreads(false);
    from here:
    /* 130*/          ApplThreadMonitor hlpAppl = TaskMonitor.getApplThreadList();
    and this <i>ApplThreadMonitor</i> has:
                 private String userName;
                 private String reqName;
                 private String taskName;
                 private String compName;
                 private String action;
    So if you can get this (when the most of the classes mentioned is not in API but CORE part) on each node and ask for it from one place you got the user list at cluster nodes...
    In fact there can be a shortcut to get this info, I have found this ;o)
    Romano
