Deleted Wi-fi configuration on my MBA with Mavericks

Hi I have a problem. I wasn`t able to connect to Wifi. So I was searching in System preferences in network And unfortunately I deleted configuration for Wifi and now I can not add this configuration again. What I can do with this? Thanks for answers and sorry for my English.

As far as I know the Toshiba notebooks are delivered with different WLan cards; for example with Intel or Atheros WLan card.
Firstly you should check you WLan card vendor. If you use the Intel card possibly the Intel ProSet WLan utility is installed and tries to configure the WLan connection.
If you use the Atheros WLan card possibly the Atheros WLan Client Utility tries to configure and to establish the connection.
So, you can use either such 3rd Utility or you will use the Windows own option to use the Wlan.
If you want to use Windows own Wireless Zero Configuration you can enable it in Network connections -> Wireless network properties -> choose Wireless Networks tab -> mark the option called Use the Windows to configure my wireless network settings
But if you want to use one of the 3rd party (Intel, Atheros) configuration Utilities then start simply such program and check the settings.

There isn't a lot you need to do...Mac OS X does a good job of keeping file systems in order and accessible, there are no known viruses to worry about so anti-virus software is best avoided as it slows down the system, stay far, far away from any of those "cleaning" programs as they are almost all scams that harm the system. Practice good computing by being aware before downloading stuff and know where it comes from. Use Quit for applications instead of hitting the red dot so they are fully terminated.
Other than that, Mac OS X does a great job of taking care of housekeeping for you.
Oh, and get an external hard drive and keep a good backp as self protection. A great source that I happen to like is OWC, http://www.macsales.com

How do I delete Flash cookies on my MacBook Pro with Mavericks OS X?

Hi there! Since switching over to the Mavericks OS X, my husband noticed that I had over 3000 cookies stored in my laptop. After deleting cookies in eash browser, we noticed they are still there. After some googling, I suspect that it is Flash cookies that are installed in my computer. How do I delete these? On a couple of websites, that appears to have outdated information, they recommended downloading the Flush app. I noticed it is no longer available.
Anyone care to help?

System Preferences > Flash and you can delete all info there manually, or set it to not accept information.
What I use is the free Firefox web browser + Ghostery and Click&Clean.
Ghostery has a option to delete Flash and Silverlight cookies upon exit (if enabled in preferences)
Click&Clean wipes everything when the browser is closed.
Firefox also has click to play, so Flash and other plugins are not running on every site, rather one has to click to enable it when they want as to prevent those from running and placing/retriving cookies in the first place. Better security also.
And there is more than just Flash cookies, there are web bugs, mouse trackers, history sniffers, HTML and Ever Cookies, plus all sorts of webside exploits.
Only by enabling Javascript/scripts only on sites you trust can you avoid a lot of this nonsense, the only easy method is to use Firefox and the NoScript add-on, which you drag a "temp allow all" button to the toolbar in Firefox to click on sites you trust.

There was away (before Mavericks) I could single click on an email and it would highlite but not open. I could either delete or second click and the email would then open. Can anyone tell me how to configure the prevue pane to that end with Mavericks?

With Mavericks that doesn't seem to be available making it impossible to delete an email in the prevue pane before I open it. Its frustrating to have to go through all the monkey motions when I know I want to delete it from the get-go. Does anyone know who to configure for that operation? I'm using an iMac.

I run TWO programs for protection of my MAC now and have been for sometime b/c developers of them become complacid thinking MAC is impermeable.
My MAC locked me out of it and two externals and when I finally did get back into them Norton Anti-Virus found a "worm." When I asked the program to find the origin, it was traced back to an email, as you said, that I opened unintentionally. I still have two external HDs for backup and a cloud backup now.
When ClamX ran after Norton was finished, ClamX found what it called as "spyware," and it's origin was in my email also. I tried to delete the emails after the programs (both) identified the infected files, however once deleted and the computer is restarted, they were still there because I ran the scans again.
Now since we are no longer talking about how to turn on and off the view pane in apple mail; riddle me this, why can't the developers of these antivirus and antispyware/malware programs get together and develop ONE PRODUCT that catches 90-95% of the viruses/worms/spyware/malware ect that get onto MAC's? Is it because they are too busy thinking they don't exist?
I still run both programs and feel protected between the two. If Norton said it was a "worm" then I believe it was a worm and if ClamX called it "spyware" then I believe it is spyware.
I had to wipe my MAC and do a fresh install to get it working again, then I had to open one of those externals (which was very, very difficult) multiple times until finally it displayed the message "you can view, but not change the data." I exported as much as I could to my cloud and I had to format both of those too.

I am considering buying a MBA but i need to do word processing, making power point presentations, and also to use publisher for work, does the MBA have the ability to do these things, if so will I be able to continue with work done on a MBA with a PC?

I am considering buying a mac book air and I was wondering if I can still do word processing, make powerpoint presentations and use publisher like i would on a PC? Also if I can then would I be able to continue with work done on the mac book on a PC and all the computers at school are not macs ?

I am using the 11" MBA with Office 2011 (with latest updates). The form factor is great for travel.
Powerpoint presentations work well, but there are some issues with creating a presentation under OSX then continuing editing under Windows (Powerpoint 2010). I've experienced problems with custom backgrounds not rendering correctly while editing slides under Windows when the original presentation was created under OSX. If you stick with the "standard" themes I imagine you'll be OK.
Also, there is a major drawback in that there is no IR port on the new MBA(s). Therefore, you cannot use an Apple Remote to control a slide show. Yes, there is an app for the iPhone that can control a Keynote slide presentation using Bluetooth, but since I haven't tried it, I cannot say if that app will work for Mac Powerpoint 2011.
What is really needed is an "Apple Bluetooth Remote". (please, if anyone from Apple is listening...)
Your only option to run Publisher is to run Windows in a virtual machine (e.g. Fusion or Parallels) with Publisher installed as there is no Mac version.
I run Fusion with Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 configured as a workstation and Office 2010 as my main travel machine and it is very responsive. Even using Windows Aero Theme which is knowned to be graphics intensive.

How do I configure a usable synchronisation with Google calendar

I think I have tried every permutation of configuration to synchronise Lightning with Google calendar.
I have Thunderbird 31.1.2 and Lightning 3.3.1
The GDATA provider has the well documented issue of either re-mailing all meeting attendees, or not sending out invitations to meetings, so this doesn't really work for me.
I have succeeded in seeing my Google calendar by using the iCalendar(ICS) option, but whenever I add a new calendar event in Lightning I get a "An error occurred when writing to the calendar 'My Name'!
Error Code : MODIFICATION_FAILED
When I try using CalDAV I don't see the events in my Google calendar in the resulting calendar in Lightning. I'm not sure I have the right 'Location' parameter, I have multiple Google calendars, the details available on the various web forums are not very explicit about how to get the location when using multiple Google calendars.
Finally the Post on the Mozilla support forum states that I should use the Google Calendar option, which is not present!
I am sure this is possible, any help would be appreciated.
I have now turned on full logging and see the error:

Lightning doesn't let me edit a calendar's address once it's been inserted. I have to delete the existing calendar and then add it again.
What documentation have you found to edit? It seems to me that for years it has relied on a page at google, and that disappeared when they stopped referring to the now defunct stand-alone calendar, Sunbird. I'm not sure there's ever been an authoritative reference owned by Mozilla. Those documents referring to endpoints aren't easy to find.

STMS Configuration - Change Virtual System with Real System

My system, if I go in the transaction STMS in DEV system, was configureted in the following way:
DEV => QA => PROD (Virtual System)
Now, I want to change the PROD Virtual System in PROD Real System.
How Can procede?
Can you explain step-by-step the process?
Because the system was configureted from other people, and I'm new to using the STMS.

Hi,
After the planned system is physically installed it is time to replace the Virtual System with the realized system.
The procedure for the same is as under:
1) Delete the Virtual System from the transport domain
. Login into Transport Domain system client 000
· Using STMS got to Overview=> Systems
· Chose SAP Virtual System=> Delete (confirm)
· Distribute configuration change.
As soon as the configuration change is distributed, the virtual system is deleted. The import queue for this system in TMS disappears but it is available as import buffer at the operating systems level.
Now add the new (physical system) to the transport domain:
If STMS is configured as standalone system then first delete STMS configuration on PRD system
login into PRD system client 000. (delete STMS configuration if present.)
run stms -> it's ask for set up STMS -> click on other configurition (F6)
Target Host -> host name of domain controller ( host name of transport domain system)
System number -> Instance number of domain controller ( instance number of transport domain system)
Now,
Go to the Transport Domain Controller and accept the system. (As the import buffer is available at the operating system level, no change requests will be lost)
Distribute the configuration changes.

But when I am trying to delete Agreement or anything, I am not able to delete anything.

I purged my configuration, b2b server is restarted. then When I am trying to delete my agreement, I am getting the below error.

Selling my MBA with Lion/license?

Hi,
I bought Lion last week for my MBA 2010 and now I am planning to buy the new, faster MBA 2011. As far as I know I have to uninstall Lion from the old machine in order to sell it; otherwise the new buyer will have to use my apple ID to keep the Lion I bought.
The question is: Once I get my new MBA with Lion pre-installed I basically lost the $30 I spent on Lion for my old MBA. Is there any reimbursement in these cases from apple or something like that?

I need help with Mavricks Server, I get the following: an error occurred while configuring your server. I have deleted the Server.app several times along with the associated com.apple and Server folder. Any more help would be appreciated.

There are usually some log files around, related to the installation. See if Console.app (Applications > Utilities) shows anything relevant to the error, when you've done a fresh install of Server.app and tried the configuration.

Configuring JCo3 Connection Pool with single sign on on non SAP Java server

i have configured a connection pool on JBoss as per JCo3 Documentation and is working great.
Now I need help to configure this connection pool with single sign on so that RFc on SAP ECC systems are executed using end users credential rather than using single user name password used to configure JCo connection pool.
On SAP Java stack I am sure its possible within Java WebDynpro and i assume using JCA resource adapter. But what if we don't want to use SAP Java App server.
Any help will be appreciated.

Unable to configure BI Publisher report with Primavera Unifier

We have installed Primavera Unifier 9.14 release on one Linux machine and OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0 is installed on another Linux machine.
For configuration, we shared OBIEE installed folder with the Primavera Linux machine.We followed all the steps that are mentioned in the configuration guide for OBIEE(BI Publisher) with Unifier.
While configuring BI Publisher Reports with Unifier,we are getting following error: Test connection failed.
"failed to create URL for the wsdl location: 'META_INF/wsdl/Catalogservice.wsdl' retrying as local file.
no protocol: /META_INF/wsdl/CatalogService.wsdl"
Unifier Log message:
ERROR: getCatalogInfo.ex=javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: Provider com.sun.xml.ws.spi.ProviderImpl not found.
We have tested BIP login on Unifier application server machine and its working fine.
BIP END URL used: http://hostname:9704
BIP User: BIPUSER123
BIP Password: BIPUSER123
BIP Report Folder: ReportFolderName
BIPUSER123 user has admin privileges and also ReportFolder is having required access.
Is there any workaround or are we missing some configurations?

configure one more virtual path which is unprotected from site minder. we had similar issue for Marketing and resolved by this virtual path.

Second, I work on a network of computers and the search feature is now buggy... When I search for a file, A) it asks me if it's a name, or it wont produce anything, and B), its slower than in prior OS versions and in some instances I have to toggle to a different directory and go back to my original directory in the search: menu bar or the search wont produce anything... Very buggy.

It appears to me that network file access is buggy in Maverick.
In my case I have a USB Drive attached to airport extreme (new model) and when I open folders on that drive they all appear empty. If I right click and I select get info after a few minutes! I get a list of the content.
It makes impossible navigate a directory tree.
File access has been trashed in Maverick.
They have improved (read broken) Finder. I need to manage a way to downgrade to Lion again.
