Deleteing Old Purchasing Attachments

Hello All,
We currently have A LOT of old purchase order attachments in our purchasing system. These are all kinds of files (.xls, .doc, .jpg, .pdf, etc. etc.) attached to requisitions and purchase orders. They are taking up a lot of space in our database (we think.) I can't find any documentation about managing these attachments
My questions are:
- How are these files stored? I think think they are large chunkc of ORABLOB data (or somthing) in the database somewhere... is there a table where these are?
- What is an effective way to delete old attachments?
Another question: Everytime a buyer runs a 'Print PO' program, it generates a .pdf output file. I think all these .pdfs are saved with the PO... is this so? And, if so, is there an effective way to manage those? Can I delete those somehow?
Any information or insight in hopw to effectively manage and maintain the Purchasing attamnets is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

Thank Gareth.
Using fnd_documents_pkg.delete_row seems a bit scary. Have you thought of posting an example on your blog on how the fnd_documents_pkg.delete_row might look? It would have to clean it out from fnd_lobs as well.
Anyway...thank for your input.

  • Deleting old purchased music

I have some music that I want to get rid of, I have grown tired of listening to it. So I went ahead and deleted the songs I didn't want anymore. What happens is once I plug the iPod touch into the MacBook, they automatically seem to come right back! How can I permanently get rid of these songs I do not wish to listen to anymore, and if possible, is there a way I can restore iTunes? Since of course, it used to ask me if I wanted my old purchased music back in the beginning.
    Thanks again

You need to Manage you iPod MANUALLY. Set it to manually manage my iPod in the window that opens up when connecting the iPod to iTunes and then you can delete or add songs, movies, etc.
If you leave it in automatic sync mode it will always match what is in iTunes to the iPod

Find My iPhone REQUIRES an iCloud account.
iTunes purchases are permanently tied to the Apple ID (which is typically also the iCloud account) that they were acquired with.
The iCloud account is used on a daily basis by anyone with an iPhone.
iCloud accounts, which are Apple IDs, cannot be deleted.

  • My Lacie external hard drive will not back up on Time Machine. Says there's not enough space. This has happened with every single external I've purchased. Thought TM was supposed to delete old backups??

My Lacie External backed up on Time Machine after the first back up but now says there's not enough room. I thought TM deleted old back ups to save new versions. What am I doing wrong. This happens to me constantly. Every single external hard drive I've purchased for the MacBook Pro (5 of them) has not worked either initially or at the second back up. It either isn't formatted properly so I have to go to Genius bar to help me set up for the first back up, or after the first back up, it says there's not enough space and I have to go back to Genius Bar. Is there a way I can fix this on my own?

I just purchased 2 external hardrives. a LaCie Minimus and a G Drive. Each 1 TB. The guy at Apple told me that would provide 2 good TM backups for me. My internal HD has 750 GB capacity, of which I'm using 700 GB. Perhaps the ratio is not great enough. I do wish they would have told me this before I purchased the two Bummmmer! I even had them format and get the first back-ups going because of issues I've had in the past. I also just bought a 750 GB for photos.
So, I won't be able to buy another bigger external since I've just purchased 3. Ugh. Well, I'll just exclude some files and divide things up. Eventually, I just want my 20,000 iphotos on one of the 1TB externals, and a TM back-up on another so that iphoto will function once more. It really hates how many photos I have and is brutally punishing me for it.I seriously need to do some housecleaning!
Thanks for the advice. Just moved from US to Australia last week and was hoping to upload a few photos and the domino effect has lead me to this. Just went to Genius Bar in Perth today and they told me how to reformat drive to transfer iphoto library over, but I got stuck at trying to back-up my TM.

  • In I tunes store how do I delete old user ID?

In ITunes store- how do I delete old user ID?

    Edit :
You can log out of an account by tapping on its id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (and for iCloud via Settings > iCloud > Delete Account, Sign Out if on iOS 8). Any content that was downloaded by the account will remain tied to it, so only that account can potentially redownload its purchases and/or download updates to its apps

By "sending" do you mean sending email?
If so, what app are you using to take the photos on your iPhone 5? Or are the photos from a different source (saved to your Camera Roll from somewhere else, like a web page or Messages)?
My guess is that Mail gives you the option to send different file sizes when it detects you are trying to Mail a really large photo file. The size of photos on the iPhone 5 is really big and some email providers may stop your mail from being delivered if attachments are too large. Thus, Mail tries to help you by offering to resize the photo.
I suspect that if you are sending smaller files, Mail does not bother giving you options to save a smaller version. In fact, I have seen this behavior. So, if the photo is already "small enough", it gets sent as-is.
To my  knowledge, there is no global iOS setting for this. Some apps may have different rules, of course.

    Hello there, Syd_ma22.
The answer to how to delete a song on your phone in iOS7 is found on page 62 of the iPhone User's Manual:
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
    Specifically:
Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

  • Archiving Old Purchase Information

Is it possible to Archive old Purchase Information? I have been using ZENworks Asset Manager for several years now and have old purchase information for products that are no longer in the environment.
When I run a Compliance Report for a product that has several generations of purchase information I would like to be able to exclude it so that it does NOT show purchase information for products that no longer have any Installation Information. Setting the criteria on the left does not allow me to get detailed enough for what I want. My only other option has been creating Custom Reports.
I don't want to delete the old Purchase Information, it has been useful on more than one occassion. What are some of my options that I have not thought about?

  • Why does Time machine not delete old backups

I dont understand Why time machine is not deleting old backups. As it worked first time with the same size backup drive as the drive its backing up, I assumed it would just delete the old backup as needed. Do I need a bigger backup drive?

    Roglee wrote:
I just want it to delete the old backup & replace it so i just have a copy. I guess i could just re format the drive each time but that just seems a waste of my time when TM should do this for me!
If this is all you want to do, turn off Time Machine, download SuperDuper! and use it for free. This will clone whatever drive you want and the free trial will erase your back up drive each time. I can't remember if it will let you choose what to back up or if it wants the entire drive. Also, I'm not sure if the Scheduler works with the free trial. Below are some verbiage for SuperDuper!. Looks like if you want Scheduling you will have to purchase a license.
    Download Now!
You can download SuperDuper! v2.7.1 right now and back up and clone your drives for free— forever!
    Buy Now!
Buy now to unlock scheduling, Smart Update (which saves a lot of time), Sandboxes, scripting and more!
Time Machine will keep making back ups and when it determines it needs space, it will delete older back ups. But it doesn't delete older ones each time it backs up.

i want to get old purchased songs and albums back onto my ipod. havent been connected in a couple years. old purchases have a cloud on them and wont let me access them. someone please help!

I have tried that as well.  The purchased songs are not in my playlists and they are still there.  I manually deleted them on the phone but the sync puts them right back on there.
I only sync playlists and they aren't on there.

  • How can I deleted old pictures in my iCloud

I Want to deleted old pictures in my iCloud account

You can't save your iTunes films and/or TV programmes in the cloud, whether they will show in the cloud for redownloading in the Purchased tab in the iTunes app depends upon what country that you are in (they can't be redownloaded in all countries) and whether they remain in your country's store (rights-holders occasionally remove their items).
You can copy your iTunes downloads to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of them, and not have to rely on being able to redownload them from the store.

  • Deleted Shared/Purchased Music Playlist

Like an idiot, I deleted my "Purchased/Shared Music Folder." I tried to reinstall iTunes to see if they would come back, but that plan proved unsucessful. Any help would be appreciated to get these playlists back....

Hakubi, I would suggest you start your own thread fully explaining what your issue is, instead of just saying "my gthing is checked, & it still doen't appear." You have posten in a thread that is a month old & if I hadn't had my e-mail subscription turned on, I would neve have know about your post. It's also more courteous not to disrupt the original poster's thread with what may be a similar but unrelated topic. Thanks!

  • I deleted my Purchased file!!

I pushed the backspace button on my keyboard and it deleted the file for all my purchased music.. it didnt delete my music, but thats the play list i go off of when im listening to my ipod.. how do i get this playlist back??

The next time you purchase a track from the iTunes tore, the Purchased list will be recreated. Unfortunately it will not contain your old purchases.
These can be added using a smart playlist to select your purchases. See this thread for a description of how to do it.

  • Old Purchase orders.

    Hi
We are using "Old purchase orders and Templates" to create SC, we are in SRM4.0.
Now the business requirement is when the users selects an old PO to create SC, the source of supply should be deleted.
That is when the SC is sreated using old PO, it should be withou vendor assigned to it.
    Regards
    Ashish

Hi. If you look at this thread:
Re: Who know distinguish between normal create SC and copy SC to create SC.
It will tell you how to tell if the cart is being copied from another.
    Then use BADI BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI.
You can take the SRC_GUID field from the above thread and call function BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL for the cart being copied from.
If the cart being copied from has status I1131, that means it was a template.
You can then delete the vendor from the partner table in BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI.
    Regards,
    Dave.
