Hi luckyd49,
If you are having an issue with being unable to import pictures from your iPhone to your Mac, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

    You don't.
    Turn on PhotoStream in iCloud.
    Settings>iCloud>PhotoStream
PhotoStream will store 1000 of your most recent photos and synch with iPhoto on your Mac.

  • Confused about deleting pics on iphone

I know this probably has been answered in a previous thread and have saw some thing that help, but I am still a bit confused about photo stream and photos.
What is the difference from how photos get saved (on an iphone)  in photo stream vs. just being stored as memory?
Do they, photos, get stored in the cloud or physically on my phone?
How come when I go to delete photos on my iphone I get a message that warns it will delete on all my devises to include my mac?
When I deleted a few pics from my iphone they got deleted from my mac. In a nutshell how can I ensure that my mac will permantly store all of my pics regardless if I delete them from my iphone?
    Thanks very much

    ok ill try to help
photostream stores the pics you take for 30 days.  if you delete them from here removes from all devices.
camera roll is the pics you take.  can be deleted from device and only device.  to save these import to your computer see.

  • How do I delete pics/videos from my iPhone 4

How do I delete pics/videos from my iPhone 4 if it is not even able to do a restore/backup? A couple days ago I received an alert on my phone that said something like, "You cannot make or receive calls. Connect to iTunes to restore." I connected to iTunes and backed up the phone then started the restore. Before the restore could begin it ended the process and said, "Something is wrong with your iPhone please contact support, Apple Store etc". The Apple Store could not even complete a restore. I have since got a new iPhone but, I want to sell the old phone and I am afraid all my info/pics can be retrieved. Is there any other way to delete all of my pics, videos etc?

Restore it to factory settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

  • Why can't I delete a pic from iPhone album in ios8?

Why can't I delete a pic from iPhone album in ios8?

Now that you mention it, my parents don't need to see my playlists, either.  Hadn't thought of that.
I accidently stumbled on an "ad-hoc" workaround that helped me.   The downside is that it only works with smart playlists so it may or may not work for you.  But here it is anyway:
Smart playlists will not be uploaded to the cloud if they refeence another playlist on the cloud.  So I created a "catch-all" smart playlist and added a reference to that in all the smart playlists I don't want to share.
I also noticed that playlists with more than just music are not uploaded.  You could add a short video or something to the playlists that are only for the iMac.  This obviously won't work if your daughter needs them on her iDevice.
I know these aren't good solutions, but I hope they help someone.
    Cheers,

  • Deleting photos from iphone  - not good results

I tried deleting all my photos from my iphone using itunes and the sync system. well it did delete all the photos from my mobile me account, but only about 1/4 of the photos on the phone were deleted and some of them are really messed up. while doing all this the phone locked up and until the battery went dead the phone was junk. what are the odds? Anyone have any idea how i can delete the rest of the photos from my phone? peace to you all!

    Hi,
Thanks for the answer.  So if I want one pic from a folder, I would have to basically create another folder with this one pic.  The only problem with this solution, is I want to keep all the pics in this one folder (Picasa) to organize.  I'm new to iPod and I can't believe this is the only way to delete pic(s) from an iPod.
    Thanks again.

  • TS3999 all my non-recurring appointments have been deleted from my iphone.  The are listed on my pc in outlook under icloud archives.  How do I get these appointments back on my phone

All my non-recurring appointments have been deleted from my iphone.  They are stored in outlook 2010 under the archiveicloud calander.  How do I restore these appointments to my phone?  Thanks

The pics are gone.  This is what a restore is.  You erased your iphone, reinstalled your software, then added back your settings from the date of the last backup.
You should have imported your photos to your computer as you would with any digital pictures, before any restore or update.
    Sorry

  • Delete Pic. in IPhoto - will they stay in my" I Disc"

Heard when you delete pics in I Photo 4, you will also delete them wherever they are on your computer. Is this true? What about my "I Disc" and Homepage?
Any hints how to dust delete from Library only?

Deleting an app from the Usage area in the Settings app deletes the app from your iPhone. You can download the app again from the app store without having to pay again for it. be sure to back up your data first though.
another option is to do the iOS 8.1 update while your iPhone is connected to your computer. Start itunes on your computer, connect your phone, select the General area, backup the phone and then do the update. Doing the update this way requires much less free space on the phone because the update file will be downloaded to your computer and extracted there instead of on your iPhone.
when the update is complete though it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free. For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. For a 32 GB device that is 4.8-6.4 GB free. For a 64 GB device that is 9.6-12.8 GB free.

How do I permanently delete pics from MacBookPro, Ipad, Iphone?

Connect the iPhone/iPad to Mac, with the device in iTunes selected, de-select pics and do a sync.
After that on Mac, use iPhoto to view images, drag those images you do not want to the trash.

  • Delete photos from iphone

i do not know how to delete photos if they're synchronized with itunes. if i take them with the integrated camera, everything is clear, but how to delete the other ones? The trash-symbol is not available? if i start photoshop or photoshop-album-starter i also can only see the fotos which i took with the iphone-camera. if i look at my workspace (where i can see my disks, sticks, cameras, ...) i also only can see the iphone-camera-fotos. has anybody an idea? thank you... and sorry for my english

The same way you got them on, through the sync process.
Remove the pic from the folder that you have selected to sync and when you sync, the pic will eb removed.
I have a folder called iphone. Anything I add or delete to the iphone folder is added or deleted from the iphone upon sync.

How do I delete photos from my Iphone?

    roaminggnome wrote:
Pics taken with the iphone can be deleted from the iphone itself using the trash can button or you can delete them when you import them to your computer or apply to the iPhone Data Eraser.
Pics synced to your iphone from your computer are deleted the same way - the sync process.  Open itunes , connect iphone, select what you want on the iphone, sync.
Click Support at the top of this page, then click manuals so that you can delete photos from iPhone.
If it were the regular Photo stream, the album would be called "My Photo Stream", so it is not rhe Photo Stream you are looking at, but a regular album or an album syned from your mac.
Have you ever synced the iPhone and iPad wit your computer using iTunes? This really looks like the album "Photo Stream" is an album that has been synced to your iDevices using iTunes. Then they can only be removed by syncing again with iTunes, selecting to sync photos,  but deselecting all photo albums in iTunes.
If it is a regular album, however, try to find the photos in your camera roll and delete photos from iPhone permanently. Then they will also vanish from the album. And photos, that have been edited, cannot be deleted at all, unless you revert them to original.

  • How do I delete email from iPhone without deleting them from my Mac

How do I delete email from iPhone without deleting them from my Mac?

To remove a photo from iPhoto and your Mac:
Put it in the iPhoto Trash, then enpty it. Then empty the system trash as well
If you want to remove a photo from iPhoto but keep it on your Mac:
First Export the file from iPhoto (File -> Export) to whereever you want it and then go through the steps above.
Confusion arises as the notion that you would want to remove a pic from iPhoto but keep it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's like saying I want to remove one address from Address Book, but still keep it on my Mac. The point of iPhoto and such apps is that they are used to manage your photos. Anything that you need to do with the pics cn be done either with or via iPhoto.

  • I need help recovering deleted pics

Can I recover deleted pics from my iphone?

    No.
If the pics were there when you last synced, then you may be able to restore from backup and get them back.
You should be importing al pics taken with iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.
