Deleteing report jobs from the queue

OAS 9.0.2.0.0 on Win2K-sp4, Client Win2K-sp4.
Many's the time a report job will hang up in the queue preventing other jobs from printing. Using the OEM, I can usually delete all the jobs, except the one that is "active, the one that is hanging up the queue. It always gives me an authentication error. I have tried every login/pw combo I can think of without success. I am always forced to restart OC4J_BI_Forms to dump the queue. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the input.
What I have done is create a new reports server/queue from the command line. It runs as a Windows process and can be restarted from there. Clunky, but I don't have to kill Forms everytime there's a queue hang up.

  • How do I clear a hidden print job from the queue

My printer continuously shows to busy even when the print queue shows to be empty.  However, when I check ink cartridge levels, an uprinted job shows up in the queue in the background.  But as soon as I close the ink level screen, the unprinted job disappears.  I am running OS 10.6.8.  I have a Lexmark Pro705.   However, the problem seems to be with the Mac as the Mac shows the printer to be busy even when it is powered down and unplugged.

    Hi,
From the Control Panel, open Administrative Tools and select Sevices.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find the document(s) have been removed.

  • Removing JOB From the Queue once executed

How do you submit a job so that it runs only once and then gets removed from the Jobs Queue ?
I am submitting a Job from a procedure and I want the job to be removed once it is run. Can the Procedure that is called in the DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT(...) call contain a line such as DBMS_JOB.REMOVE(JobID)? How will the procedure know what the JobID for that job is ?
    Thanks.

Just don't specify a NEXT_DATE or INTERVAL (just use the first two arguments, JOB and WHAT) and that's exactly what will happen.

  • Office Jet 5510 All in One - Why Can't I delete a document from the queue?

    Hi,
In what is becoming an infuriatingly more frequent problem, my printer is jamming up when feeding the paper. When I clear the paper, the document in the printer queue (, or however you spell that) is stuck there, it won't delete, even after rebooting the computer, and it won't finish printing. I'm getting sick of deleting the printer from my computer and re-installing it, there must be something else I can do when this happens. If anyone can tell me what that is, I'll be eternally grateful.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Deleting EOIO messages from the queue

    Hi PI Experts,
I have few hundred EOIO messages stuck in SMQ2. Of course the first message is in error and rest are holding.
My requirement is that I dont want these holding messages to get processed once the first erroneous message is cancelled. So, before I cancel the first message, I want to delete these holding messages. Is there any way to do this?
I tried deleting the LUW from SMQ2 but the correspoding message will remain in recorded state forever in MONI.
    Pleaes suggest.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Dhawal.

    Hi Michal and Dhawal,
I had a little different experience when i was working ..
Suppose there is a message with system error ...and u are able to resend it successfully ..the messages behind that in the Q go automatically
But if you are not able to resend and u cancel that mesg...the first message that is immediately behind the canceled message needs to be resend and then only the others will go..
    @michal,
Do let me know if this understanding is not correct

  • How do I delete files permanently from the download queue?

I have a bunch of TV shows and songs that are in my download queue because I accidentally clicked "download" twice.  Every time I want to download or import something else, all 47 of these items come up and attempt to start downloading.  Each time I delete them all from the queue, they come back to haunt me and begin downloading again the next time I want to download something.  Some of them have been trying to download since 2008.  How do I permanently prevent them from downloading to my computer?

In addition to what Drew wrote, remember the Mac has a data fork and a resource fork.
Here is an old thread but a nice recap by Dr. Smoke
    ._Files
Note that the ._file files you note are the resource forks of Mac files you copied to the drive from your Mac, and these are only visible when you use the Flash drive on a PC. These are normal and indicate the Flash drive is already formatted for Windows.
When you copy or save a file from a Mac OS X system to a Windows shared volume or a Windows-formatted disk, the Mac creates two files: the data fork (xxx) and the resource fork (._xxx). This is called Apple Double Format and is normal. The resource fork contains additional data about the file that is exclusive to the Mac that cannot be saved otherwise on Windows-formatted disks. This is new with Mac OS X, as documented in Mac OS X: Apple Double Format Creates File Name With the Prefix '._'.
The resource fork files (._xxx) are necessary if you want to copy the file back to the Mac and retain the metadata. The resource forks of files are invisible when they are used on the Mac: the Mac OS Extended file system (aka HFS Plus or HFS+) uses forked files, with a file having both data and resource forks.
You can delete the resource forks on the Windows disk if and only if you don't care about losing the resource fork information should you copy them back to the Mac, such as comments, image preview icon, etc. Some Mac applications use the resource fork data, so deleting the resource fork can be problematic if you copy the file back to the Mac. Likewise moving the file while not also moving its associated resource fork when using the data on a PC can result in problems when using some files again on the Mac.
You can't prevent the resource forks from being created if you copy or save files from the Mac to the Windows share or Windows-formatted disk via Finder.

  • Delete the reporting results from the workbook

    Hi,
How telete the reporting results from the workbook  via the BEX menu functionality

That functionality is not available in the Bex 7 Analyzer, just in the Bex 3.x functionality. To delete workbook results, we simply select the rows of data (but NOT the titles) and delete the rows in excel. Then save the workbook.
If you delete the titles you will delete the analysis grid, and you will have to recreate it.
You can also change the variable values, click "Cancel" and the workbook then shows no results for any query related field. However, this includes the navigation panes and text elements, which produces a rather blank looking workbook.

  • What is the consequence if I delete the BDoc Messages from the Queue?

    Hi,
What is the consequence if I delete the BDoc Message (SMW01) from the queue with any state (e.g. intermediate)?
    Regards,
    Alex.

    Hi Alex.
I had a similar issue with Bdoc. We have had a lot of errors comming through as our CRM & ECC syste were out of sync.
You need to look into the exact error message before you delete a Bdoc. I would suggest that you do not delete any Bdoc message unless you are sure of the error is and it is fixed.
    Hope this helps
    Mohammed.

  • How can I create a fIlter to delete only "junk" from the server?

One of my E-mail accounts is that of a major client. I handle their customer service online. Normally our protocol is to always leave all messages on the server, so for that one Thunderbird account, I have it set to never delete messages on the server.
But the account recently started getting a lot of junk messages. Thunderbird is doing a remarkable job at marking those and placing them in the junk folder for that account. I would like to create a filter that could remove them from the server, preferably those more than "x" days old so I could monitor the activity to be sure that no important message are removed.
I did notice that in "Filters" I can create a custom filter from a header of my choice, but can't seem to create what I want which is:
    - after mail is marked as Junk by Thunderbird to delete those messages from the server if they are older than "X" days (my choice of "X").
    - not delete any other messages from the server for that account

I believe that did it! Thank you. I am running those changes on a secondary E-Mail address for the same job and server and it appears to be working properly.

  • Print the job from the spool in abtch mode

I want to be able to print a job from the spool in batch mode. In other words a job currently exists that creates a report that currently goes to a printer.
The user wants the report to print on two different printers. This extra printer cannot be placed in the job, since SAP only allows one printer per output. What I would like is to find a SAP program that would accept a spool name and a printer destination. It necessary we can write a program that might execute a SAP function to do the same.
SP01, the spool transaction, does not easily adapt itself to batch execution. I donu2019t want to create a bdc session using it.

    Hi,
If the domain of these fields are of type SYTIME, then adding the fields like a numeric value should suffice.

    Hi,
From the error message, it failed because of "invalid argument: storagetype = '101' ".
101 means the storage type is "system" + "cache". Is there any change on your storage before the issue occurs? For example whether the source storage is changed?
