Deleting a Deployed Categorization Schema

*Hello,*
*I was wonder if anyone knows how to delete a categorization schema with deployed status? After playing in the IC web client it only appears draft categorization schema's can be deleted.*
*Is there a way to delete deployed schema's in back end? Such as a t code that allows the deletion of master data?*
*Any assistance would be appreciated.*
*Thanks*

Hi.
You have to create a new version of your categorization schema, and for this new version you release it under a smaller limit of time, for instance valid to (1 minut ahead current time).

    Hi
    1. Deleting a domain will not hold any references. But make sure that under your user_projects/applications also remove the folder that matches with your domain. Basically under user_projects folder you will see 2 folders named applications and domains. When you create a domain say mySoaDomain, it will crate a folder with the same name under applications folder also with few files like em.ear. If you do this, then you can crate a new soa domain and use the same old name.
    2. NOW comes the most important thing. If you create a new SOADomain, at one point, you had to give details for soainfra and mds schemas. If you give your current existing db details (that was used for your old deleted domain), then you may still have the issues. Because the soainfra db may still have the instances for your old process.
    3. If you really want to have a full clean soa domain, here is what you do:
    a) Run rcu and drop the existing schemas for soainfra and mds.
    b) Run rcu again and create above schemas again.
    c) Now create SOADomain using config wizard and refer above clean rcu db and you are all set.
    3. Under your domain root folder, just searh for files named with your workflow and you should see the .jar location.

  • Categorization Schema overlaps

    hi everyone,
I'm creating a new categorization schema.
When i insert in application Area "service order" and subject profile "SAP Standard Damage" it returns a me an another schema, in schema per Application Area, because the system have found another schema with the same subject profile.
Now i have in application area two schema, so when i switch to status "release", i have obviously the following error message: "Schema overlaps with released schemas in application area (SERVICE_ORDER, SUBJECT_PROFILE, SERVICE)".
How could i delete or deactivate the old schema found?
    Please Help me!
    Best regards!
    Virginia

    Hi Virginia
Create a new version of the schema you want to remove.
Set the activate and end date of your schema to be 1 minute apart and release.
The new version with then deactivate after a minute which should allow you genuine new schema to be released shortly thereafter.
If you need more assistance let me know.

  • Cannot Delete / Validate / Deploy Essbase (BSO) application [EPMA]

    Hi All,
I deployed a Essbase BSO application from EPMA (11.1.2.1) and got a successful result. I have made a minor change and want to deploy the application again but all the options for Duplicate / Delete / Validate / Deploy / Compare are disabled.
I have tried this on two separate instances with the same result.
    - I have restarted the services already.I also ensured that no ESSSVR service was running when I had shutdown all the services.
    - I have also checked the timeout period to ensure that it is not a timeout issue.
Does anyone have any clue as to why this might be happening. I was given a suggestion that the Relational Schema for EPMA might have certain flags that may be blocking this. Any ideas on which tables / columns I should look at?
    Shehzad

First check the application diagnostics to see if anyting is amiss. Go to Application Library, right-click on the application and selecxt "Diagnostics".
Run all the diagnostics. If a diagnostic test fails, Performance Management Architecxt provides an automated solution or manual steps to resolve the problem. Your security role must be EPMA Administrator to run them. Which also makes me think that it's possible that your security has been changed so you no longer have access to the app. Has someone changed your security? Did you create the app under a different ID?

  • How to sort on category id using categorization schema in SAP CRM 7.0

    All,
Currently we are using categorization modeler within CRM7.0 for complaint transactions. It seems that the sortation with respect to the categories which have been defined within a categorization schema, is based on the date that the categories were created (as per sap note 1423480). A business requirement is to have the categories sorted on category id instead of creation date of a category. Does anyone know how to implement this?
    Regards, Sander

    Hi Marianne,
By standard this is not possible.
SAP recommended to arrange the desired sortation via BADI: CRM_BWA_MFLOW.
We will start implementing this in the upcoming weeks.

  • Service Ticket - Categorization Schema (Codes, Catalogs, Code Groups)

I have a Categorization Schema (attached to a subject profile used as categorization for a service ticket in CRM 2007 IC)
    BMW
    --- 3 Series
    --- 5 Series
    --- Z4
    Mercedes Benz
    --- C Class
    --- E Class
    --- S Class
    I have
    Catalog - "Cars"
    Code Group "BMW" with it's Codes (2, 5, Z4)
    Code Group "Mercedes" with it's Codes (C, E, S)
When I create the Schema each node asks me for a Subject Code. In the dropdown I get 2,5,Z4, C, E, S.
How do I just get it to show the codes in the subject code dropdown relevant to either BMW or Mercedes?

    Hi David,
I can easily relate to your concern as i was also involved with the same.
Actually category schema will always give you list of all the codes because there is no heirarchy maintained. Hence , it is a one time activity wherein you will have to select the particular codes from the list of all codes for your schema heirarchy.
I gave the description to my codes to make it simpler..
    ie..category 4 for me reads -->Cars-BMW-Z4
                                                  --->cars-MZ-C
This is just a help so that you can easily reach your correct code from the list of codes to be assiogned for your category modeler
this is one of the most laborious tasks, although it can be imported and exported.
    hope this helps
    Thanks

  • [Application Update Error] - The element 'Field' in namespace 'urn:deployment-manifest-schema' cannot contain text.

    Hello,
I developed a custom SharePoint 2013 Application (SharePoint hosted) and everything works fine. If I tried to update the application and I ran into the following error:
The element 'Field' in namespace 'urn:deployment-manifest-schema' cannot contain text. List
of possible elements expected: any element in namespace '##any'.
If I redeploy the application (without update, just a new instance) everything works fine. Only the update scenario throws the exception above.
I tried different things to solve that issue:
    I recreated the feature
I checked all the custom field definitions, content types and lists inside the app.
I tried different O365 tenants and a SharePoint 2013 On Premise Development Server (Same problem on all systems)
Can anybody give me a tip to solve that problem?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
According to your description, when you try to update your SharePoint Hosted App, an error occurs.
To narrow down the issue, I would suggest you create a simple app without other components in it, deploy it and then update it to see if this error will still occur.
Once you get a workable app without the update issue, then you can add other customizations one after one in this app and perform the update. By doing this, it would
be easier to find out the root cause.
Anyway, you can take a look at the link below about updating app for more information:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn265910(v=office.15).aspx
Feel free to reply if there any progress.

  • Exporting Multilevel Categorization Schema

    Hi,
I am exporting categorization schema using FSSC_RDS_CATSCHEMA_EXP_IMP standard Report Program. It exports the data in Text file in 2 sections, 1. header Data 2. Detailed Data. In detailed data section The first five columns contain the hierarchy level and the category ID. The sixth and seventh columns contain the category name and description.
My requirement is I need to Export Extended attributes i.e. 'Valid From Date & Valid To Date' also in Detailed data section.
Can anybody guide or help in this case.
    Many Thanks,

    Hi Singh,
First you can read the details with function module CRM_SUBJECT_READ_OW for each order by passing A and B for header and item respectively.
Now to find out the valid from and valid to dates, you can go to table CRMC_ERMS_CAT_AS.
Something similar you can find in How to maintain multi level category in a transaction
    Thanks,
    Faisal.

Hello, Theresa. I don't know if this problem is still actual for you - but may be SAP Note 2060164 (Category search criteria is not working for 2nd MLC schema) will help you...

  • Database Auditing to record DELETE operation on a schema for all tables.

    Hi,
I am using ORACLE DATABASE 11g. I want to apply the AUDIT feature to record all the DELETE operations happening on the schema tables.
I did the following steps but dint got the proper output :-
I logged into the SYS as sysdba user and set
alter system set audit_trail=DB,EXTENDED scope=spfile;then i executed this command to record the sql which will use the DELETE privileges
AUDIT DELETE ANY TABLE;Then i bounced back my DB and for testing purpose i created a table in SCOTT schema and inserted 10 rows in it and then DELETE all the rows from it.
As per expectation i check the view
    select * from aud$
    where spare1 like '%MACHINE1%'
    and USERID='SCOTT'
order by ntimestamp#;The output i got is :-
    34     168368     1     1          SCOTT     I-DOMAIN\MACHINE1     MACHINE1     100     0                                                                      Authenticated by: DATABASE; Client address: (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=127.0.0.1)(PORT=2565))          MACHINE1                    5          21-DEC-11 07.02.58.621000 AM               0     928:5024     0000000000000000               983697018     <CLOB>     <CLOB>     But here i don't see the SQL generated in the last column.
What i was expecting is that if i fire a DELETE statement in the schema it will get logged here and with the help of this view i will be able to see that which user from which machine executed a DELETE statement and what that statement was?
Please let me know what step i have missed here.
PS:- The ACTION# column shows 100 , is it the code for DELETE action. I also accessed the DBA_AUDIT_TRAIL view but din't found any usefull info their.
    Thanks in advance.

    Try instead:
audit delete table;AUDIT DELETE ANY TABLE is auditing use of DELETE ANY TABLE privilege.

  • Steps to use Classification w service tickets- No categorization schema

I have been searching SAP help  & SDN but no luck figuring what steps I need to do to use the classification in the Service Ticket.
    1. I used the category modeler to create a 2 level schema.
1a. schema assigned to busines activity ticket in application area, parameter = subject profile, Value = ZACT00002.
    1b. status is released
1c. in the categories I assigned to a catalogue / code group / code ZACT00002 (as set up in the IMG - Catalogues, codes, profiles)
2 I assigned the DEFAULT categorization profile to my IC profile (has service allowed to 4 levels)
    3. I don't have a service product assigned but not sure I need one (nor know how to assign one)
But when I confirm a BP, the error message > >>>
No categorization schema assigned to application area (BUS_ACTIVITY, SUBJECT_PROFILE, ZACT00002)
& go to service ticket, the classification field is still empty.
Would appreciate if someone could tell me what I am missing.
Edited by: Glenn Michaels on Feb 12, 2008 2:34 AM

    Hi Glenn
The Status of the Schema should be active. You can set a Date & Time From (and To) which the schema is valid for.
Normally the default from date is set for 24 hours time, which means you wait till the schema is active before you test, however you can change this, I usually set it to 10 minutes in the future.
That is probably your main issue at the moment, once the Schema is "Active" you should have more luck.
You will need to create a Product for "Service", called INVESTIGATION. Wihout this product you'll be dogged with product related errors.
Before you create the INVESTIGATION Product you'll need to ensure a Hierachy and Category exist which the Product can belong to. I think the Best Practices guide will help you with this.
If you get stuck further, drop another hit.
    Good Luck.

  • No Categorization Schema assigned to application Area

    Hi Friends,
I am getting following error message while creating a BP Contact persom from IC WebClient.
"No Categorization Schema assigned to application Area(BUS_ACTIVITY, SUBJECT_PROFILE, ACT000001)"
The BP's are getting created, but the message appears once we try to identify the account.
I think I am missing some configuration.
Can you pls help me on this ?
    Thanks and warm regards
    Purnendu

    Hi Maiti ,
Category modeler provides you four fields in the order type you wish to see it these fileds can be used as per your requirements and you can set a logical drop down say if A is selected in the first field then what should appear in the second & so on .
    To activate
1.Add the CRM BSP application CRMM_ERM_CAT
    2.Launch the category modeler
3.Select the advanced search and then go
    4.Create new schema
5.keep the status in general tab as draft,go to application area and select the service ticket(where you want to see it).Go to categories tab
6.Here you create a sub note say product
7.create a subnote to this which will appear in the next field when product is selected in the first....and so on.
Now once the logical seq is set ,go to general tab and set the status to released. It takes 24 hours for the schema to be active .Once it is active you can see the fields in your application area
