  • Deleting transport domain link

    Dear Gurus,
I have to delete a domain link between transport domain, but I can not find any possibilities in STMS (menu item, icon, etc) to delete this.
In STMS, in the system overview, in menu 'SAP system - Create' there is an item for creating a domain link, but not for delete this.
I search the help.sap.com, the SDN, but did not find any help.

  • Deleted my domain and cant add a new domain

    Hi all
I deleted my partner domain name inside the admin panel and when i try to add a new domain i get this error msg....
    Error
Domain already exists. Please delete all records associated with this domain before re-adding it.
Can someone also tell me what the Advanced DNS Record is for cause i deleted that to and have no idee how i set this up :-/
    Please, need help!

    Hi,
The issue here was that the domain was being locked for rebranding thus causing this error and preventing you to re-add the domain.  I've since escalated this so we can unlocked the rebranded domain and then wipe clear so you can re-add the domain back into the site with all your DNS records applied as normal.
We'll respond back to your case ticket once resolved.
    Thanks for your patience.

  • Can't delete defunct domain controller

I'm the admin of a software test lab.  I had an Active Directory (Windows 2008 r2) domain set up mainly for DNS use on two Hyper-V VMs on separate hosts.  I have had issues in the past after power outages (I don't have the budget for a UPS for
these hosts) where one or the other domain controller would become corrupt, and restoring from backup simply wouldn't work.  So, I got used to rebuilding whichever one failed.  I've had to do it about a dozen or so times, but when we had a power
    outage last Thursday, circumstances changed.
The first DNS server came back up just fine, but the second got corrupted, again.  (Pretty typical issue.  It would only boot to the recovery console.  Trying to use chkdsk /f would result in it telling me there were only 44 files on the C:
drive and nothing to fix.)  I tried to restore it from backup, but, as usual, the host claimed it couldn't read the restore, so I deleted the VM and started over.  I created a new VM and got the OS installed and updated, but I can't delete the old
DC account from the users and computer console or the config from the sites and services console.  Everything tells me "directory object not found."  I wound up renaming the VM and rejoining it that way, but I still can't get that old account
    deleted.
What's worse is that this VM that failed was the global catalog, and AD won't let me reassign the GC role to another DC.  It just doesn't do the role assignment, no error message or event log entry at all.
Anyone else run into this?  Is there a fix?

    Is this the link?
    http://msmvps.com/blogs/acefekay/archive/2010/10/05/complete-step-by-step-to-remove-an-orphaned-domain-controller.aspx
When you try with the GUI (possible since Windows 2008), is there an error message?

  • How to delete a domain from sld

    hi,
we have created a domain for testing scenarios in JDI.
Now we are preparing the JDI for actual developement.
So we planned to create a new domain, but in help document we have noticed its not possible to create more than one domain. So we decided to delete the existing domain. But dont know how to do it.
    Anybody knows please reply.
    Thanks.

    Hello Abdul..
U can try out the Name Reservation option.
In JDI if u crete any componet then this name space resevation service reserves that name.
after deleting that component also it doesn't allow u to create componets aothat same name.
u have to go to Name Reservation option in sld page and search that name and remove it. this can be done by only Administrative login.
thanks and plz let us know after ur try

  • Deleting a Domain Controller affect programs running by domain users?

    Hello,
I have a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 which has a Domain Controller that was created for tests but was never used. I was told that by creating this DC all users accounts from the local machine are migrated to the domain and deleting it also wipes
all these accounts. The problem is that I have some programs that are run by those users accounts, I would like to know what happens to these programs if I delete the DC causing the accounts to be delete. Do these accounts are converted to local machine accounts?
What happens to the users folders?
    Thanks,

you can change the computer from join domain to workstation, then monitor what happen...
don't delete the DC suddenly. if really dont need this DC, change computer to workstation and demote

  • Can account SUPPORT_388945a0 be deleted from domain controller?

    Hi Guys,
I see that there have an account "SUPPORT_388945a0" has been created on domain controller automatically. Can we delete it safety?
    Thanks,
    OCS User

Actually that statement is incorrect. AD (or more specific the DSA/DC) can request that a set of default accounts and groups are to be created, this is for example used when you introduce a DC with a new NT version in a domain (This is independent on DFL/FFL)
their is different “default” accounts and groups defined for example Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
The introduced DSA with a new NT version calls the operational attribute runSamUpgradeTasks, the conditions for this operation and the accounts and groups will create in the domain are outlined here:

This can't be automatically, as there is no way AD can create account until its been automated using script or some other tools. I have seen few groups created automatically during application installation, would suggest don't delete it immediately, might
create an issue, if used for authentication as an service. Disable it & then check the impact to proceed further.

  • Need a script to delete Old domain profiles folders

    Hi
    Thanks in Advance
I have desk space issue in my Org.
There are 3000 to 5000 windows servers exist in our Org.
I am running a desk clean every day with a script
    1)      C:\Temp; C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations; C:\WINDOWS\Offline
    Web Pages; C:\WINDOWS\servicepackfiles; C:\WINDOWS\temp
    2)      It runs the below commands on all the above folders
    DEL /F /Q /S C:\temp\*
    for /D %%i in ("C:\temp\*") do RD /S /Q "%%i"
But I am still facing issue with C drive space, as many domain accounts  users login into the servers and folder are created in
    Windows 2003: c:\Document settings\<user folder>
    windows 2008: C:\users\<user folder>
So i need manullay login into the servers to delete this user profiles folder.
I need a script to clear this folders older than 30 days.
    Please help me
    Thanks
    Rajesh

In WIndows 2003 use delprof to remve old profiles
    DELPROF:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5405
    DELPROF /c:\\computername /d:30
On WS2008 and later use Group Policy.
On Termminal Server profiles should be roamed to a NAS or SAN or file server and the session should be set to remove the local copy at the end of the session.
On Windows 2008 you can fairly easily move the users folder "C:\Users" to another drive if youare running out of space.  Terminal Server only porfiles can be moved seeparately to a new drive or network location using RDS configuration or Group
    Policy.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Deleted Users & Domains?

    Hello,
Is there an option or a command that would allow me to view the DELETED users and/or Domains in iMS5.2 before I purge?
    Thanks

You can certainly use ldapsearch, and look for the attribute "deleted" in the status object class.

  • Proper way to delete a domain?

First let me apologize if this has been answered many times.. but i did search through the forums and could not find the info i need.
I have successfully removed all users (cals and PAB) entries for a domain. Now i want to remove the domain from the server.
I have used the following commands.. and they complete successfully.. no errors...
commadmin domain delete -D user -w password -d domain
    commadmin domain purge -D user -w password -d domain -g 0
Both succeed.. but when i do a msuserpurge -v -d domain
i still see the domain.. and if i ldapsearch for the domain.. i still see the top entry o=domain etc.
I notice that the mailDomainStatus is still showing "active"
I can ldapmodify the mailDomainStatus to "removed" but not sure if this will then allow the purge command to totally remove the domain?
    --additional info:
Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.2-3.04 (built Jul 15 2005)
the domain i am trying to remove is not the default domain.
    Thanks for any assistance.

thank you Jay. Was going to patch.. but found a note from you about a bug in the latest patch.. so was gonna wait till the next patch rev. came out. think it was something to do with a session problem.
So if i manually ldapdelete the o=domainname entry.. that should be fine right? I do not see an sub entries for the domain left over. Or any users/groups.
    thanks again.

  • Cannot delete VTP domain on 2950

I want to delete the VTP domain name on my 2950.
    Sh VTP Status display :
    VTP domain : CACE
    VTP mode : transparent
Try to use command line vtp domain "" and having this message
Operation failed; Bad domain name length
What is the way to set a null domain name ?

    Hi Friend,
The easiest way is to give it some other domain name which does not exist in your network if you do not want your switch to participate in any VTP domain which exist in your network.
Switch default is in no-management-domain state.
After the switch leaves the no-management-domain state, it can not be configured to re-enter it until you clear the NVRAM and reload the software.
So if you completely want to get rid of it clear NVRAM and reload the software.

By my recommendation is if you put into any domain which does not exist in your network it is same as no-management-domain state because it will not participate in your existing VTP domains.
HTH, if yes please rate the post.

  • Can't delete unknown Domain

So I accidentally created a domain in the data modeller as unknown with no information. When I go to domain adminstator panel it will show up but will not let me remove or modify it.
I see the information in the xml file types.xml.svn-base but am unable to remove it manually since it's checked out by Subversion. How can I remove this?

  • Delete personal domain from iWeb

now that .mac moved to .me when ever i post a site it publishes to the personal domain that is listed in my profile but i don't want it published there but rather to the automatic url that mac provides (i.e. http://web.mac.com/username/Site...)
how do i removed a personal domain from my profile?
i found no preferences within iweb to do this, nor was i able to do it when i log into my mobile me settings (there i see the personal domain but no way to remove it)
    thanks!

Do you have a domain name that you have set up with iWeb and MobileMe? If you linked that name to just the default MobileMe URL, http://web.mac.com/username/, then any new site that is published will become the default that the domain name sends you to. You need to point the domain name to the specific site, http://web.mac.com/username/yoursite_foldername/index.html, in order to isolate the other sites from your domain name.
