Deleting a floating note crashes Apple Notes

Double-click on a note to make it a floating window.
Click on the trash bin and attempt to delete it. Crash!
I tried it on both my iMac and Macbook Air with iCloud turned off and got the exact problem.

When you delete a note from the app, it also deletes it from iCloud. Assuming you have a back up that was run prior to deleting, you may be able to retrieve the note by restoring the iPad from back up, but the risk of loosing other information added since the back up was performed. Back up restores are all or nothing, you can't select specific data.
Basically, once you delete a note, its gone.

  • How can I recover a iMessage that was deleted and if not is there a way apple can send me email of all my iMessages in past month

    How can I recover a iMessage that was deleted and if not is there a way apple can send me email of all my iMessages in past month

    Hi Toniann,
    If you have a recent iCloud backup that was done when that message was on the devcie, you can restore from that backup.
    No, Apple does not keep your messages, no do they have access to them. That would be a serious invasion of privacy, don't you think?

    I deleted an important note from my Apple Ipad 2, can I recovered it

    The only way you could recover it (assuming it was completely deleted) is if you have a backup from when that note existed.

  • HT4053 How do I delete photos, the delete button does not appear to be working?

    I have downloaded all my photos to my new IPad. I need to delete some I do not want, how do I do it. The delete button does not appear to be working?

    I personally don't know of any other software that does syncing, however, you can use another cloud service like Dropbox or Flikr to house your photos, add and delete them and have them available for viewing on any device or comuter that has an internet connection.
    I'm not sure why you would be having trouble not getting photos that you put into your Photo Stream Uploads folder on your iPad. Photo Stream is Photo Stream. Also, just so you know, photo management and Photo Stream have nothing to do with iTunes. Photo management on the computer is done through your photos folder and app (on a Mac, it's iPhoto). You only use iTunes to tell the sync process which items to retrieve and sync from that library. Photo Stream is completely independent of iTunes altogether.
    If you want to get photos from a camera to your iPad without having to use a computer, get a camera connection kit which will allow you to physically hook the camera to the iPad, and to directly download the photos from the camera to the iPad.
    You would still want to also hook the camera up to the computer to back those photos up to your photo library on your computer.
    Also you might want to look into purchasing (for under $5) iPhoto for your iPad:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/iphoto/id497786065?mt=8
    Seems like you might benefit from talking to your local Apple Store about when they might have some sessions for learning photo management and sharing between your device and computer, because what you appear to be wanting to do is all do-able. I guess I'm just missing what your issue is. You can many things with photos on your iPad, however, your device will never be a substitue for your computer for backing up and managing your photos.
    So, best of luck, I hope one of the suggestions above will help you to achieve what you are trying to do.
    Cheers,

  • J deleted a few notes from Notes. Can I get them back?

    Tonight my daughter wanted to borrow my iPad, so I deleted a few notes from the Notes App I didn't want her to read. Because the iPad is on my iCloud account, the notes were also deleted from my iPhone 4S. I need them back! Can I undelete them somehow? I did back up to iCloud yesterday. However, I don't want to risk any other data loss on any other apps such as photos or texts (either type of text), by doing a full restore. I'm okay with going back to yesterday by restoring to the icloud back up, but will EVERYTHING  come back? Is there any other way to get my deleted notes back?

    Try restoring from a backup before syncing in Itunes.

  • I am unable to remove imported photos from the iPad.  The red delete button does not come up and synching did not help. Any ideas

    I am unable to delete photos that have been imported from a camera.  The red delete button does not appear and synching with the photos ticked and then unticked does not work either.  I have also tried attaching the iPad to the PC and looking for the photos using windows file management. However the only photos that I can find are those taken by the iPad itself. I am confused about why something that should be simple is not.

    If photos were synced from your computer then they can't be deleted directly on the iPad, you will need to remove/de-select them from where you synced it from on your computer and re-sync.

  • Delete purchased apps (Not hide)

    Is it possible to delete purchased apps from my Apple-ID account, i know they can be hidden, but i´m looking for a way to delete them so they are disassociated from my Apple account?
    At least for the free apps there should be that option.
    Is this possible?

    Okay, so lets try this question then... Is it possible to delete an Apple account, not just disassociate my devices? I guess thats not possible either, just as so many other things when it comes to Apple?

  • Delete a attribute not needed according to schema? (JAXB)

    Hi.
    I unmarshal an xml-file, and i want to delete a attribute not needed inte the file according to the schema. Is it possible to get rid of the attribute when I marshall or do i set it like this service.setAttribute("") and still have it there but with no data?
    thanks in advance.

    Yes, you can delete pages that are not needed, see this help text :
    Add, remove, move pages  http://help.apple.com/iphoto/iphone/2.0/?handbuch#blnkc0bbefcc
    Only, the book needs a minimum number of 20 pages.
    And when you want to upload it for printing, make sure, that you have plenty of free storage. Typesetting the book will need a lot of space on your device.

    I want to delete Icons for Notes, Contacts, Facetime...  all that junk I don't want to use. Can I or has Apple deemed that "too important for a user to determine" as well?

    You cannot delete any pre-installed iOS app.
    Put the Apps you choose Not to Use into a Folder and ignore  it.

  • Deleting a Stickie Note

    I want to delete a Stickie note but the Delete Option in Edit is greyed out.  If I put my cursor on the note and press delete or option delete, some of the text is deleted from the note but the note and the remaining text is still there.  The note will not let me drag it to the trash. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Delete operation is not working to delete selected row from ADF table

    Hi All,
    We are working on jdev 11.1.1.5.3. We have one ADF table as shown below. My requirement is to delete a selected row from table, but it is deleting the first row only.
    <af:table value="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.collectionModel}" var="row"
    rows="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.rangeSize}"
    emptyText="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.viewable ? applcoreBundle.TABLE_EMPTY_TEXT_NO_ROWS_YET : applcoreBundle.TABLE_EMPTY_TEXT_ACCESS_DENIED}"
    fetchSize="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.rangeSize}"
    rowBandingInterval="0"
    selectedRowKeys="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.collectionModel.selectedRow}"
    selectionListener="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.collectionModel.makeCurrent}"
    rowSelection="single" id="t2" partialTriggers="::ctb1 ::ctb3"
    >
    To perform delete operation i have one delete button.
    <af:commandToolbarButton
    text="Delete"
    disabled="#{!bindings.Delete.enabled}"
    id="ctb3" accessKey="d"
    actionListener="#{AddNewEventBean. *deleteCurrentRow* }"/>
    As normal delete operation is not working i am using programatic approach from bean method. This approach works with jdev 11.1.1.5.0 but fails on ver 11.1.1.5.3
    public void deleteCurrentRow (ActionEvent actionEvent) *{*               DCBindingContainer bindings =
    (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding dcItteratorBindings =
    bindings.findIteratorBinding("EventCalendarVOIterator");
    // Get an object representing the table and what may be selected within it
    ViewObject eventCalVO = dcItteratorBindings.getViewObject();
    // Remove selected row
    eventCalVO.removeCurrentRow();
    it is removing first row from table still. Main problem is not giving the selected row as current row. Any one point out where is the mistake?
    We have tried the below code as well in deleteCurrentRow() method
    RowKeySet rowKeySet = (RowKeySet)this.getT1().getSelectedRowKeys();
    CollectionModel cm = (CollectionModel)this.getT1().ggetValue();
    for (Object facesTreeRowKey : rowKeySet) {
    cm.setRowKey(facesTreeRowKey);
    JUCtrlHierNodeBinding rowData = (JUCtrlHierNodeBinding)cm.getRowData();
    rowData.getRow().remove();
    The same behavior still.
    Thanks in advance.

    JDev 11.1.1.5.3 sounds like you are using oracle apps as this not a normal jdev version.
    as it works in 11.1.1.5.0 you probably hit a bug which you should file with support.oracle.com...
    Somehow you get the first row instead of the current row (i guess). You should debug your code and make sure you get the current selected row in your bean code and not the first row.
    This might be a problem with the bean scope too. Do you have the button (or table) inside a region? Wich scope does the bean have?
    Anyway you can try to remove the iterator row you get
    public void deleteCurrentRow (ActionEvent actionEvent) { DCBindingContainer bindings =
    (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding dcItteratorBindings =
    bindings.findIteratorBinding("EventCalendarVOIterator");
    dcItteratorBindings.removeCurrentRow();Timo
