Deleting a Page

I accidnetally scanned the same page twice, and need to delete one of them (after having "finished" the can). Please advise.

With Adobe Reader you can't. You will need Adobe Acrobat, or another PDF editing program.

Page numbers from MS Word cannot be deleted in pages

A colleague sent me a MSWord (Mac) document that I opened in pages 09 and started working on it. I need to delete the page numbers that were put in on the MSWord document. I guess they were put in using the automatic page numbering feature in Word. However, In the Pages09 document they are not in the usual footer location. It almost looks like they are part of the page background. They are not selectable and cannot be removed. It I choose to add page numbers using Pages, they numbers appear in the usual footer location—in addition to and not supplanting– the unselectable page numbers brought over from MSWord. Does anybody know a solution to this?

The persistent content usually is a Master Object. So, you were right to begin with: Format > Advanced > Make Master Objects Selectable. One would think that if this is always the solution, it would be a simple matter to now select the tenacious item and delete it. The problem is that sometimes the object while now selectable is still not accessible.
This Master Object can hide behind the Header box, as though the Header was a solid glass wall. Deselecting the Header function, in the Document Inspector, will give you access, but it will also irretrievably delete your Header Content. A better way, I have found, is to change the header Margin figure in the Document Margins Pane of the Document Inspector.
Once you have moved the Header, Footer, or whatever else might be sharing the space, off the persistent page number, you can click on the page number Object and hit Delete. Now you can put back whatever you had to move, and you should be good to go. Consider yourself lucky if your Pages header doesn't fall over the old Word Header.

Numbers doesn't have pages. It has a canvas that holds objects such as tables and charts.
Drag the objects from the bottom of the canvas onto the white space above. That will reduce the number of "pages" (sheets of paper) that will print.

Are you unable to delete pages from any PDF, or is the problem specific to one file? If it's just one file, is it possible that the document has permissions applied that would prevent you from modifying the file? (You would see "SECURED" in the title bar of the PDF if it's been secured.) (Also, make sure that the file is open in Acrobat Pro, not Adobe Reader--I always have the two open simultaneously, and sometimes don't realize which one I'm working in.)
If the problem is widespread, what's changed on your system?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Hi have found the solution. You need go into the View menu and make sure that you have checked the Show Invisibles option. Once you can see the invisibles, you should see a blue line at the top of the "blank" page with a small "document" icon at the right of the line. You need to delete this blue line/icon which will delete the whole page as long as there are no other "invisible items" which may also need to be deleted.
I did the above and my blank page disappeared from the thumbnails view immediately.

Getting error during deleting a page in 4.1

I am getting the following error while deleting a page. I don't have any DA in the page.

This has come up a few times now, mostly seems to happen where the page is originally created as a copy of an existing page, that contains a DA, or where a DA references a region. Is there any chance you could send me an export of the application, to the address in my profile? It would really help to see exactly what's going on.

InDesign CS6 on Windows XP. Can't delete selected page?

When i select a page to delete it fails to do so. Instead a random page is deleted. I tried deleting page content first and then deleting the page but the page remains and the content returns. I SAVED and CLOSED after deleting the content, WITHOUT deleting the page, and when i reopen the document and then try to delete the page it still does'nt delete and the content still returns??
The same thing is happening with all my documents - originally created in CS2.
Tried reinstalling - any other ideas anyone?

Does this page contain threaded text? When you delete a page with threaded text the text reflows to fill the remaining pages and will go into overset at the end of the story. If Smart Text Reflow is also enabled, it could be adding the page back again to hold the text.

Cannot delete individual pages in Adobe Acrobat X PDF

So annoying. When I try to delete individual pages it gives me the error message "one or more pages are in use and cannot be deleted". I have tried closing the thumbnail page preview pane, selecting the pages and hitting backspace (delete), highlighting and choosing the 'delete page' icon at the top of the toolbar....nothing. I have seen a lot of threads about this issue that are dated 2011 with no solutions. Has anyone out there found the solution?

After spending three months building a twenty six page Book Project in iPhoto i added a page and later decided to delete the page. I selected the page, pressed the delete key and confirmed the delete dialog box ( i didn't read, dummy) by pressing the delete button. The whole project was gone, the undo menu was grayed out and there was nothing in the iPhoto trash about my Book.
Surly I can find this if I knew the path to find the project in a library on a back column I have of my hard drive.. Could anyone help me?

Sorry I'm having a hard time getting this.
If I go to my hard drive BIGMAC>Library>Application Support>iPhoto>the only thing in this folder is Themes.
However, when I "Get Info" it's 580MB for 24,421 items. iPhoto says I have 35,977 photos. I would think the database would be into the GB for this many photos.
If I go to BIGMAC>system>Library>I find nothing about iPhoto
Is the iPhoto file in the Application Support the one I need to replace with my backup?
