Deleting a proof from iPad

Hello, I have been experimenting with iBook Author and now have several old proof copy files on my iPad, how do I delete them?
Many thanks

Hello E4D,
On your iPad, open iBooks, if a book is opened press the screen and press Library.
Once in your Library press 'SELECT" (top right hand side of your screen).
You can now select multiple books within your Library by touching each individual one.
A BLUE tick appears on each book you select
Press 'DELETE' on the Top left of your screen.
DONE…
Regards,
Nigel

You have no choice but to lose your data back to the last backup you made.
Here's how to do the recovery.  Note you may have to try to get into recovery mode more than once to succeed:

I'm sure next time, you'll be more vigilant about keeping current backups.

  • Deleting purchased music from ipad

If I delete purchased music from ipad will it remain in iTunes Match given that I did not delete from iCloud?

Yes, the tracks will remain in the cloud. It is not possible to delete tracks from the cloud on an iOS device.

  • Delete multiple photos from ipad in ios7

How do you delete multiple photos from ipad in ios7?  I need to clear out old photos to free up some space and don't want them deleted from other devices.  Also, what is the best source to learn how photos are shared, streamed, etc.  I assume that streaming photos do show up as taking up space on the ipad, but I want to understant how it all works between devlces.

    Hey dddog,
To delete multiple photos at once:
Tap Select, select the photos or videos you want to delete, then tap.
You can even delete full albums:
Manage albums. While viewing your album list, tap Edit.Delete an album:  Tap .
via: Organize your photos and videos

  • How delete other storage from ipad air?

How delete other storage from ipad air?

The iOS will NOT automatically delete "other" if the device gets full. That is totally incorrect.
"Other" is basically all of the data and stuff that does not fit into any of the other categories on the device, like apps, photos, music, videos, and so on. It contains Safari Bookmarks and History, Notes, Contacts, Email messages, Text Messages, photos assigned to contacts, cached app data (but not documents themselves) etc. When "other" becomes too large, it can take up a lot of space and cause problems. It should not be more than a few GB at most and for most people it would probably be around 400MB - 2 GB.
IF something gets corrupted on the iPad and "other" grows out of control, you may have to restore the device in order to clear that data. One starting point troubleshooting step for dealing with the problem is to backup your iPad, restore to factory settings and then restore the backup. There are also other less invasive things that you can try first.
A Google search will turn up many articles that talk about how to reduce "other" on an iOS device.

  • Delete All Calendars from iPad?

Simple question; hopefully a simple solution.
I want to delete all calendars from my iPad2, so that I can then copy the calendars from my Mac onto it?
I want all of the data deleted from my iPad, and don't want it to show back up again.
Like I said, it should have a simple solution.
    Thanks!
    Jon
    iPad 2, iOS 4.3.3 14 GB
    MacBook Pro, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, Mac OS X 10.6.8

    Does this help you:
    http://www.ehow.com/how_7427878_delete-calendar-ipad.html
Repeat the same procedure for all calendars.
If the calendars came in via an Exchange account, you can remove the calendar syncing by editing the exchange account (settings -> mail, contacts and calendar -> accounts) and switch "calendar" in this (http://blog.fosketts.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Exchange-Account-MCC.png) dialog to off.

  • Deleting cloud docs from iPad

Looks like you have to do it from Files.Acrobat.com. Log in with your Adobe ID. Then when you select a file (click the checkbox), you'll see a Delete icon.

  • How to delete unwanted photos from iPad

After choosing the photos I want to delete from iPad, even I touched "DELETE", nothing happens!
I would be grateful if anybody can help me on this and also I want to delete App I don't want anymore.
Many thanks in advance for yor help.

What OS are you using and what photo program, if you are using Mac OS and iPhoto normally you would need to delete the pictures with the program you used to transfer them to your iPad. Or you can go into iTunes a de-select them so that they will not sync with the iPad.

  • How to delete CR2 files from iPad

I recently used the camera connection kit to download photos (JPEG and Raw) from my Canon G12 to my iPad.  Since I have gotten home, I have been transferring the photos to iPhoto on my MacBook Pro.  When I try to delete the photos from my iPad, it will delete the JPEG but not the CR2 Raw file.  Since the Photos app on the iPad doesn"t "see" the Raw files, I can't delete them directly on the iPad and there doesn't seem to be any way to do it from iPhoto when my iPad is connected to my MacBook Pro.  Any thoughts on how to do this?  Thanks.  Glen

  • Can't delete tv shows from ipad

I Can't delete tv shows from the iPad. I've verified the option to show all videos (including cloud is off). I don't get the x to delete, only the iCloud symbol but there are three show definitely on the iPad.

Were you or somebody else streaming these TV shows at one point? When that happens to me, I have to download the show completely to my iPad, then delete it.
If you were streaming the shows, or even if you weren't, download one of the shows and then try to delete it.
