Deleting a released activity in NWDI

Hello there,
I have made some changes to the standard ESS packages in Netweaver developer studion and released the activities, checked them out and released for transport. How do I revert back these changes for good? I dont want them to go to my QAS system. Just to let you know I have the administrator rights.

1.Open the URL
http://<servername>:<port>/logon/logonServlet?redirectURL=%2Fwebdynpro%2Fdispatcher%2Fsap.com%2Ftc%7ESL%7ECMS%7EWebUI%2FCms
2. Login to the Server
3. select the activity from the consolidation tab.
4. delete the actity from there.
To make sure that it is working fine you can connect to the buildspace of consolidation and validate the same

Error message when deleting Business transaction: Activity in CRM

Hi All,
I am trying to delete a couple of Activities from CRM (Production system) and encounter two error message: "Enter a Business Partner" and "Administration header not found."
I have tried three ways to delete/archive the activity numbers in the system:
1) Using T code: CRMD_ORDER and then while in change mode - trying to delete the activities. When I tried this I get a warning message: "Enter a Business Partner" after I hit enter the warning: "Administration header not found." comes up and then takes you to the Easy access Menu after hitting enter.
2) I used T code SE38 to open program: "CRM_Order_Delete", here I entered the activity #s that I want to delete, the Activity Transaction type, select check box "Parallel" and then execute. I see a job log which says "Number of archived records = 3", the log shows that no records were deleted.
3) I have also tried archiving using T code SARA. But this also didn't seem to work. Here, I entered the Archiving object: CRM ACTON, then click on Preprocessing. I created a variant with the transaction type and activity numbers then set the start time to immediate and executed (F8) it. Even then I was not able to archive these activities. I did set the activities to status Complete.
Am I missing something? Appreciate your help.

Received response from SAP support partner:
Please verify first if the issue is caused by badi implementation
of ORDER_SAVE badi. Please check method prepare and check_before_save.
Maybe inside your implementation the function crm_order_read is called
but that is not possible in case of deleting a document as document is
not available anymore.
If that doesn't work try this one:
Please check to see if you have a badi ORDER_SAVE method
CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE. Please deactiviate the ORDER_SAVE Badi and retestthe deletion.
This is how we resovled our issue - hope this helps someone else:
Check using T Code: SE80 to look for a BADI implementation which used BADI: ORDER_SAVE:
SE80-> Package: Z* (look for custom packages) -> Look under enhancements for any BADI Implementations which have used ORDER_SAVE (double click implementation and in the right pane look under Definition name).
Click 'Change' and deactivate this implementaiton. Now try to delete the CRM transaction. The error msg should not pop up now. Once deletion is completed reactivate this implementation.
This is just a work around. The problem lies in the code and the code within the implementation should be debugged and fixed so that this error message does not come up again.

Delay before the Delete option is active after selecting messages

Previously I could select numerous messages (Command-A) and immediately press the Delete button in the Mail menu bar to delete the selected emails.
Since the update, there is now a delay from the time the messages are selected until when the Delete icon is active and can be clicked. It stays grayed out for maybe a second or two, like it's still processing the previous select all command. Although not a big deal, it's worth noting there was no delay before the update.

Hi Namarata,
In NWDI you can do any change by using an activity only. what ever change we do will be tracked by an activity. With out an activity you cannot change any code.
We can move our changes to Quality by activities only.
An activity tells you the following:
1. what are the files modified?
2. who modified the files?
3. when the files were modified?
4. what content has been modified?

Deletion of released requests

Goto SE09 select request status released.
search ur request right click -> delete.
if it doesnot work go to STMS of Quality \ Production select ur request and delete.
If that also doesnot work ask basis guy to do for u.
Or u just forget about that request coz it is not going to have any impact on Quality or Production System unless and until it is imported.

Hi Tina,
You would need to use direct database access to delete a released transport request.
As I told you before, I would NOT do it as it is hasardous et may generate security audit problems.
You can also destroy your transport system.
Transport requests are stored in table E070.
We only modify the e070 table after system copy by database refresh to reset the next transport request number. It is done by inserting a line in the table. We never delete inside this table.

You can but you have to chnage status of the request:
Use transaction SE38 or SA38 and run program: RDDIT076
Set your request number and run the program
After request is shown double click on it
You should be able to change status from R to D
And now, you can delete the transport for example in transaction: SE10...

To delete multiple non-imported transport requests, you do the following while in the import queue on STMS:
1) Highlight the status field of the import queue.
2) Sort the import queue by the status.
3) Put your cursor on the first non-imported transport, right-click, and click on Select Block.
4) Scroll down and put your cursor on the last non-imported transport, right-click and click on Select Block. This will highlight all requests from the first one selection to the last one selected.
5) Go to menu option Request > Delete.
If all of the requests in the import queue haven't been imported (no imported, including failed import, requests), you can jump to Steps 3-5.

I am trying to deploy an OS but the deployment is failing part way through. I have searched the logs and identified the error: Task Sequence Manager could not release active TS request. code 80004005

4005 can mean a few things, Some common can be The wrong BIOS time, or a a bad Hard drive. look at those two first.

Deleting the released cost estimate -reg

Hi,
I have created std cost estimate for one material through CK40N and released.
After that , I tried to delete the cost estimate through CK44 , The variant (costing name) only deleted but i could not delete the released cost estimate for the material.
No GR , sales invoice any posting were happened after releasing.
Can you suggest me, what could be the reason and how to delete the cost esimate.

If you want to delete the released cost estimate use CKR1,which is not recommanded,as it may create
discrepancies.
CKR1 is used to reorganize or delete the existing or the future or the previous standard cost estimates.
CK44 is used to delete the costing run datas.

How to revert the released activities from NWDI

Hi everyone,
By mistake wrong activities are released from NWDI track.Now we want them to revert back so that we revert back to actual source code.
Is it possible to revert the released activities from NWDI (CMS or CBS) ?
if not what process we have to follow to get it ridoff the unwanted activities ?

Log for resouce deletion from newtwork activity

In Psa u have a option for delete the Request for last 20 days based on client u can define the psa data deletion.
Go to tab u have a options to logview and select what date u want and displayed all the logs.

Check-in error while checking in activity in nwdi

Hi,
I have a nwdi track with the ability to create VC and webdypro DCs. I created a Visual Composer DC and created a model within it. This activity was activated and released and I could preview the vc model successfully.
I checked-out the model assigning it a new activity, and made changes to this vc model. Saved the model. So far so good.
The problem occurs when I try to check-in this particular activity. And the same problem occurs when I try to create a second or third VC model within the DC and try to check them in.
Infractructure console in nwds says:
FAILED: CHECKIN on activity act_w_ABCCOMP_abc_2e_com_
ABCCOMP_dev_inactive_u_nss09_t_2010_12_07_17_28_15_GMT_276e3e68-4ac5-4177-acd1-4efe79a327f7 failed : The operation was aborted because: Could not Check in Activity. See ErrorLog for more Details..:operation failed at10:43:52.528
The Error Log View in nwds says:
com.sap.ide.devserver.eclipse.diievent.DIIEventListener:Could not check in activity Reason: Model(s) {home/abc_cust_impl=nwdi_test} not Compiled. Solution : Open the Model(s) in VisualComposer and Compile it.

The compile option in NWDS was not helping my case, although that is the right way to check-in activity in nwds/nwdi. What I found was that my project was corrupted, I don't really know when and why it happened, but I deleted contents of the .project folder and check-in activity worked beautifully after that. I also saw that, if you can afford to, creating a new workspace helps a problem like this.
