Deleting a repeat sound

I like the second  technique introduced here  on the main demo video- removing the cellphone sound w/o disturbing the surrounding audio. But what if there are multiple instances of the cellphone ring? Is it possible to use this technique on one instance and then automatically apply it to the remainder of the clip, thereby eliminating all comparable cellphone rings - without manually having to identify every place in the clip where the cellphone rings??
Thanks
John and JILL

Correct. But it is very easy to identify and manually remove such noises in the Spectral View. You just have to get down and get on with it. I find by the time you have messed about trying to automate such tasks or looked for answers from others you probably could have sorted it manually.

    My Firefox 6.02 bookmarks toolbar shows the same two bookmarks repeatedly (3 times and two times) so there is no space for the favourite bookmarks I had originally. How can I delete the repeated bookmarks icons in the toolbar? I tried to drag them to trash, but without success. I could not do it from view/ toolbars/customize either.

  • Can anyone help me about deleting the repeats by java??

    My subject is to write a static method called deleteRepeats that has a partially filled array of characters as formal parameter and deletes all repeated letters from the array.And when a letter is deleted, the remaining letters are moved one position to fill in the gap.This second formal parameter cannot be changed by a Java method, so have the method return the new value for this parameter. For example;
    char a[10];
    a[0] = 'a';
    a[1] = 'b';
    a[2] = 'a';
    a[3] = 'c';
    int size = 4;
    size = deleteRepeats(a, size);
    After this code is executed, the value of a[0] is 'a', the value of a[1] is 'b', the value of a[2] is 'c', and the value of size is 3
    So I did it like.Is it true?
    public class deleteRepeats{
    public static int deleteRepeats(char[] a, int size) {
         size=a.length;
         int numberOfRepeats=0;
         for(int i=0; i<size; i++) {
         for(int j=1; i+j<size; j++) {
         if(a==a[i+j]) {
         a[i+j]=a[(i+j)+1];
         size--;
         numberOfRepeats++;
    return size;

    Friends record got deleted from Repeat Delta also , how can we get back it , is there any  way.??
    Thanks.
    Asim

    Hi,
    Goto RSA7 in ECC and see findout your DataSource and select it an dclick on Display Data Icon then select Repeate Delta and see the records are there or not?., If it won't contains then only you confirm the data is deleted from Repeat Delta.
    If you lost this data then you need to go for Reint or Init without Data and then Full and then set Delta.

  • How can I set repeating sound notifications for voicemails received?

    Is there a way to set a sound notification for voicemail received?  Having to constantly pick up the phone to see if there is a VM message is
    annoying.  My old dumb phone had a repeating sound for VM messages received.
    Can this also be done for calendar entries, as a reminder?
    TIA,
    Chris

    Not sure what phone you have but you might check your Sound settings and see if there is a setting for that but if not you might Look in the Google Play Store for Apps that ring or Vibrate a notification for your Voice Mail..
    Actually I found this you might give it a look:  Click on the Link

  • How to delete the uncommon sounds in 2 mp3 files

    Hi
    Is it possible to do this with 2 mp3 files?
    http://funkyimg.com/u2/438/320/Untitled-1.png
    I want to leave the common sounds intact
    and delete the sounds that are different :|
    for example
    2 songs with the same melody but different lyrics
    Sorry for my english
    And any help would be apreciated

    Yes...but it's difficult, and you probably won't get a clean result - it'll have all sorts of digital mung - doubly so for mp3 files, where information is thrown away for the sake of compression during encoding. I assume you have 2 versions of the same famous song, remixed by different artists? Here's how:
    load the two songs, which we'll call VersionA and VersionB.
    Go into multitrack view and line them up on adjacent tracks. The start and end should match perfectly if the music is really the same.
    Select both tracks. Menu: Edit|bounce to new track. This will give you something that sounds like the two mixed together, ie both sets of lyrics in 1 track with the background music louder than before. Call it VersionC.
    Highlight on VersionB and go into Edit mode.
    Menu: Effects|Invert.The waveform will appear to flip upside down.
    Back to multitrack. Select VersionA and VersionB. Menu: Edit|Bounce to new track. This will sound like the lyrics from both tracks minus most of the music. Call the result VersionD.
    Repeat steps 4 & 5, but on VersionD.
    Back to multitrack. Select VersionC and VersionD, then Menu: Edit|Bounce to new track. This will cancel out most of the lyrics but leave most of the music.
    Unfortunately, it won't sound that great, and you'll probably still hear the lyrics with a sort of echo quality. There is nothing you can do about this. One thing to try, though, is to search the net for a version of the song with no music at all. For example, search 'Remix_artist The_Famous_Song acapella'.
    If you're lucky, you might find a file of just the vocals for one of the remixes (an 'acapella' is a song with just vocals and no music, a lot of artists leak them). If you do find it, then start a new multitrack project, load the remix you already have, and then take the acapella track and move it around until it matches the vocals in the remix. You might need to cut it into several pieces if the timing is not the same, eg the first verse matches perfectly but then the chorus is out of sync. You will know it is right when you play back the song and it sounds perfect except that the lyrics are twice as loud (because you have an extra copy of just the vocal). If the acapella is a mono file, leave it panned to center.
    Once you are in this situation, apply steps 4/5/6 to the vocal track - select the vocal, invert it in edit mode, return to multitrack then mix both together. Mixing the original with the inverted vocal will cancel out the vocal without affecting the background too much.

  • Get a LOUD repeating sound after upgrading to Leopard

    I just installed Leopard on two mac minis and a macbook and all three will, quite suddenly give a loud ear-piercing repeating BRRRRRRR sound (kinda like a very high-pitched sports car that never shifts) that will only stop when the computer is placed on mute (when I lower the sound volume the sound does not dissipate -- it's either on or off).
    I talked to Applecare and was told that no one else seems to have this problem (nice to be unique), and thought it was because of a faulty install disk. I did a Time Machine backup, traded the disk in at the Apple Store, and then did an erase and install (clean install) and then put my programs back on via firewire from an external hard drive - and the problem persists. It sometimes happens when I have external speakers on (which is a very nice affect!) and sometimes without external speakers.
    Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

    I just try to find out the reason. Did someone of you ever install "TheftSensor" from Orbicule (This used to be an alarm system for the MacBook to be switched on and off by the Apple Remote)?
    I just ask, because TheftSensor made an alarm sound which could not be stopped in any way, except switching off the Mac or removing the battery.
    Thanks!

  • Repeating sound effect problem

    I am looking to get a record scratch sound to play throughout my entire song. I have a MIDI ambient record scratch. What is the easiest way to get it to play in the whole song.

    Hang is 100% right (and deserves a starfish), but have you ever tried the free AU plug in called Vinyl? it adds record noise in a much more random way than repeating the same thing over and over (unless of course, that is what you are going for).
    I do need to clarify, just in case. Vinyl adds album noise, not DJ noise like scratching. Not sure by your post which you are looking for. This is a "just for your info" post.
    Good luck.

  • Can I change the 'delete song' Alert sound in iTunes?

    My dog either has sensitive ears, or a sensitive disposition. Regardless of which it is, the alert sound produced by iTunes when I delete files affects him. He gets very upset, and won't settle down for five to ten minutes. I try to mute my sound when I delete files, but sometimes I forget.
    Can I change the sound iTunes uses for the "Delete Alert"?
    My dog thanks you for any assistance you can offer.
    Steve

    Ok Brannon,
    You need to take a look at system prefs. Go to sound>sound effects.
    You should see a whole list of alert sounds. Mine is set to funk, which is a dull and low 'thunk' sound. You might find one that your dog finds inoffensive. You can click on these and hear them. You can also choose where you them to play from. ie if you have iTunes blaring out of your hifi speakers, you can set your system alert sound to play thru your macs internal speakers. The best bit is that you can set the alert volume relative to the overall volume.
    I hope that helps you
    Cheers, and woof woof wa-woof woof to your dog. Don't worry, he'll get it.

  • Can't delete a repeating event in iCal.

    I have an event that occurs every other Friday throughout the year. I need to delete it, but it only disappears for one or two seconds then it reappears. Anyone have an idea on how to permanently make it go away?

    Odd thing is happening in iCal when creating a new event, clicking on the plus button creates a new calendar and not an event.
    This is normal. You can create a new event by double-clicking within the day in any of the views (in Day or Week view double-click on the time for the event): select the calendar you want to add to in the sidebar first.

  • Repeating sound from internal speaker - unknown source

    I purchased a new Mac mini in December 2011. Great machine. However it is now making an errosounded at random intervals thru the internal speakers for an unknown reason. if you go to sound preferences it is the funk sound built into the machine. It is the same sound you get when pressing a wrong key or clicking on an inoperable option. The sound occurs at random intervals for an unknown reason. I cannot isolate it to any one app. Any ideas what is causing this or better yet how to fix it??

    If your running 10.8 poke around in your Notifications Preference, it sounds like a notification alert for calender, mail, messages or reminders.
    If your running 10.6 or 10.7 check Sound Effects tab.

  • Organizing and deleting a repeated import...

    Hey all,
    Does iPhoto '09 find and delete pictures that have been imported more than once?
    Thanks

    How did you do this?
    Did you import one iPhoto library into another (never do this)? If you did and still have the original library you can just start over by copying the library and opening it - iPhoto will upgrade as needed
