Deleting Alarms in CPI

We removed the APs on a floor while its under construction, and obviously it triggered alarms in CPI.
Correct me if I'm wrong:
If I acknowledge the alarm, if an AP disconnects from the controller after I install them it will not trigger an alarm.
I should clear the alarm when the alarm condition no longer exists. (When the AP is online)
What happens if I delete the alarm? Will I get another alarm the next time CPI checks the status of the APs and the AP is still down?

I delete alarms all the time, because it becomes messy:)  So if you acknowledge and alarm, it should not present its self again.  Ifyou delete an alarm, next time CPI goes through its polling checks, it will probably alert you.  Its like the alerts you get when you don't have all 8 ports connected on the wlc 5508 for example.  You get alerts saying that those ports are down.  You always can remove the acknowledge alerts later.
Thanks,
Scott

LAP disassociated alarms are not clearing themselves when the LAP is associates to a controller?
Is this by design?  Can anyone explain the logic behind it?

  • ISE - Mass Delete Alarms

Anyway to do a single mass delete of alarms ?

I agree with Tarik. Unfortunately, it's not possible to delete all the alarms in one go. We have to delete page by page but It's very tedious when you have 7k alarms. A (sev 6) feature request has already been filed on this:
CSCtw76687    Option to purge all items in alarm inbox
    Description:
ISE-Alpha has > 16K items in alarm inbox and it will take a long time to delete them page by page. We should implement an option to trash all items in one shot if so desired. The delete-all option should give the proper warnings that all items will be removed and not recoverable.

  • Accidentally deleted alarm and data questions

    Hey all.
I just got a new Curve 8320. I have two questions. One is I accidentally somehow deleted the alarm clock on the new Curve, and I desperately need it, any way to get it back?
Also, I want to transfer my pictures and songs from my old Pearl to my new Curve, but I only use Mac's. Is there a good program I can download for free in order to this?
    Thanks in advance.

    1. Did you really delete it, or hide or move it accidentally to another folder?
On the homescreen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that show all is checked. Now look all over again.
Look in all folders as well.
    2. Where are your pictures stored, in the device memory or the Media Card.
If on the Media Card, just enable Mass Storage on the Media Card (Options > Advanced > Media Card OR Options > Memory, according to your OS version) and then plug the BlackBerry device to the USB cable and move the images to your Mac and then to the new device.

  • How To Delete Alarm List Entries

I've got four entries in my alarm list (email addresses, all the same) with notifications in minutes. How do I delete this list?

    ManiacalMike,
That information is stored in the com.apple.iCal.plist file which is located in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences folder.
You can quit iCal, move this file to your Desktop, and then log out/in or restart. Open iCal, and the entries should be gone. If you are unsatisfied with the results, just quit iCal, return the original plist file to the preference folder and allow it to replace the newer plist.
If you are satisfied with the results you can trash the plist file on your Desktop.

  • Multiple Alarms on Random Events

I have discovered many, seemingly random, calendar events with multiple duplicate alarms. I am convinced that this is causing sluggish and other quirky behaviors in iCal. It is taking forever to delete them individually. Is there any way to delete all alarms for selected, or all, calendars in one action? Perhaps a terminal command or file that can be deleted?
I also want to make sure that the duplicate alarms are not put back into the calendars when I sync with .mac.

    Hi Fred,
This applescript should delete every event alarm in the calendars you select when you run it:
    tell application "iCal"
set myCals to (choose from list (title of (every calendar) as list) with prompt "Choose calendar(s) to delete alarms" with title "John Maisey - Delete Alarms" with multiple selections allowed)
    set myTimer to current date
    repeat with myCal in myCals
repeat with myEvent in every event in calendar myCal
delete every display alarm of myEvent
delete every mail alarm of myEvent
delete every open file alarm of myEvent
delete every sound alarm of myEvent
    end repeat
    end repeat
display dialog "Deletion done in " & ((current date) - myTimer) & " seconds" buttons {"OK"} default button 1 with title "John Maisey - Delete Alarms" with icon 1
    end tell
Depending on the number of events & alarms it's possible it may take some time to run.
    Best wishes

  • Sony Xperia Z1 No Alarm Display and Unable to switch off alarm

Eversince I had the first Android Kit Kat update, my Xperia Z1 C6903 was not able to hear any notification sounds, my alarm sound worked but unable to switch it off or delete it and when my contacts call me, it send it straight to voicemail and I don't even hear the notifcation call sounds either. Did a reboot and went on safe mode, I still had the same problem. Found out online that there is a sound bug with my current firmware version: 14.3.A.0.681.
When the new update 14.3.A.0.757 was available, I downloaded it. After this, my sound notifications worked fine, however, my alarm is still not working. Both on normal and safety mode, my alarm does the following:
    1) The alarm sound works
    2) Side key behaviour does not show up on my screen, so I am not able to dismiss my alarm
    3) I manually go to my "Alarm and Clock" app and press the "OFF" indicator. Alarm sound does not stop.
    4) I have to go to > alarm settings >Delete alarms >Choose the current alarm to delete > Alarm Sound then stops.
This has been happening eversince the Android Kit Kat version was available for download (the previous and current one). I have reboot my phone, gone on safety mode, I have gone to >Settings >APPS> All> Clock > Clear Data, and went to the Sony PC Companion > Support Zone > Repair phone/tablet, as well as deleted all my apps.
I do not know what else to do. I can only conclude that this is an existing problem with the new software update. I need my alarm working or else I am unable to get up for my morning meetings. PLEASE HELP!

so i have been having the exact problem on my Z1. the alrm goes off at the right time....the notification works perfectly but you just cannot switch it off or snooze it. if i go to the drop down menu the active alarm is not listed there...the side buttons dont work or have no effect even when configured.
you literally have to power the phone off for it to stop sounding. this is really annoying and i notice that teh last comment here was a month ago and Sony have still not addressed this problem. if you google this issue there a stacks of people with the same problem and more frustarted as we keep getting suggested fixes like clear clock cache which EVERYONE knows will not work as the problem is not with the data of the alarm....its a bug in the software that prevents the app from excuting teh way it was intended to.
my alarms worked perfectly fine before teh update was applied. ever since teh update i ahev had this problem. i dont believe that a solution is to install another alarm app from google play store. i bought the phone which advertises the alarm as a feature and if sony cannot fix or address this probelm then you have falsely advertised...
i am a sold out sony fan...i will never purchase any other brand of phone based on my past experience with sony products but this problem is making me think otherwise. give us a proper fix for this alarm issue and dont treat us like ignorant fools with your suggessted fixes like start in safe mode or reboot your phone....that will never ever fix the problem....its just a way of avoiding the fact that you dont know what to do to fix this problem...

  • Early alarm on my new E66

Just familiarizing myself with my new E66 (200.21.118).
I have always used the alarm devices in my previous phones, but this morning the E66 was kind enough to wake me two hours EARLIER than the setting. It has worked fine the previous 3 days, but obvisously desired to show some temper!!
I'm a B-person, so this is not exactly my way of having fun, but I cleared the alarm setting, put in a fresh, got a message, that it would prompt me again after another 1:50 hours, and I dozed off... for about 5 minutes, then hell broke loose again like a snooze reminder from hell ( = the deleted alarm setting). Then it was time to disable the alarm complete, find my wife's less-than-100$ Nokia model (featuring a reliable alarm) and get back to sleep.
I have double-checked my time-zone settings and everything looks great. The only possible lead to an explanation is that I have synchronized my phone calendar with a Lotus Notes calender in the meantime.
I tried to look through other discussions here, and there has been plenty of issues reported related to alarm bugs, but I could not find anything related to the premature behaviour.
Please assist... I need some good sleep tonight.

....why did u buy E66? thats the worst ohone i ever had...it is full lof bugs and nokia doesnt want to create new firmware...
my advice...if it is still within the leagal cool off peroid return it!!!!!
i have a lot of problmes with the stupid nokia e66

  • ISE Guest Activity Report not working (1.2.0.899)

Recently I upgraded an ISE to 1.2.0.899. I found the Guest Activity Report is not working. Before the upgrade it was working properly (with the limitation of 5000 records by report). Nothing in the ASA was modified, but nothing is reported in the ISE; also I use the tcpdump integrated in the ISE to validate the syslog messages are arriving from the ASA to the ISE. I already enable the Passed Authentication logging category.
Do I need to modify something else,to have the report?

    Hi
Please make sure these steps has configured correctly:
Step 1 Create an alarm, as described in Creating, Editing, and Deleting Alarm Schedules.
Step 2  Specify a rule for Passed Authentication, Failed Authentications, or Authentication Inactivity for all users of                 type guest, as described in Creating and Assigning an Alarm Rule.
Step 3 Calculate guest user activity by Monitoring Live Authentications.

  • Cannot get old Custom Captions to disappear

    Good day,
    Using CP5 on Windows XP.
I found some other posts on this topic but since I use XP, my issue has not been answered.
I have been creating custom captions for use in some corporate templates.  They are working fine but when I change the 5 files and their associated FCM files, I usually save them as a new name, this way the new changes appear.  However, now I have 4 old and altered captions that I am not using that I cannot get out of the Captions selction list.   I have deleted the bmp and fcm files from the Gallery/Captions file.
I saw in other posts that perhaps deleting the info.cpi file may help.  However, since I am on XP, I cannot seem to find said file!  I am racking my brain trying to figure this one out.  Spent nearly an hour on this before lunch before giving up and coming to the forums.
I have also hear that clearing the cache may also help?  Thoughts?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Eric

There are two ways to go:
    a)
A comment from Ricks forum post (including Ricks screeshot):
    Perhaps try clearing the cache?
    Click Edit > Preferences...
From the Global categfory, click the Clear Cache button.
    Or B)
A comment from Vishs forum post:
Also, can you try deleting the Preferences and check? You can find the  preferences at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Captivate 5

  • ICal makes my MacBook fan go wild

when starting up iCal my MacBook fan stirres up for a couple of minutes and in Activity Monitor I can see it needs more than 95% CPU. Sometimes also SyncServer kicks in taking also all CPU and even more time.
Is this normal? Or is my ical database corrupted. How can it be that a simple background sync is taking so much CPU?
If this is kinda normal I will switch to Google calendar, to avoid the whining of the MacBook.
    Looking forward to your response.

I don't always get the whining fan, but once I launch iCal, I can say goodbye to any free system memory. This has been recurring for at least 2 months, and I've been watching Activity Monitor very carefully, and see an absolute connection with iCal and SyncServer. It's very frustrating, 'cause I really want iCal to work, but not at the expense of my (theoretically powerful MacbookPro w/) System memory (2gb).
At the suggestion of my Apple store's "genius," I exported all my calendars, deleted them from iCal, trashed all iCal cache and metadata folders, plists, etc. I then brought in a few calendars one at a time. I purposely avoided any subscribed ones, and let iCal delete alarms. I ran the computer for a few days with only 3 or 4 calendars, and the behavior was a bit better, but still SyncServer was using LOTS of memory.
My console logs are showing lots of lines with "Invalid address property:" warnings (w/ referenced to eddresses that are valid); and "WARNING: BestCalendarDateFromString - can't interpret:"
So, I'm back to wondering: what can I do!?!?!?
(It is slightly comforting to know that someone else is experiencing similar problems. I only hope someone reads this and has a clue as to what's going on and how to solve it.)

  • Cisco Prime Actions logging

Anyone know if it is possible to see what actions a particular user has done in the logs?
Typically I removed some APs from CPI this morning and now I'm being asked for the MAC addresses of these APs. I was hoping that as I deleted them from CPI it would show this in a log somewhere.
Any ideas where? I've looked at things like the inventory and localhost_access log file but it doesn't seem to be in there.

Have you run the change audit report to see if the mac addresses are in there? I'm not sure if the report would have that much detail but it might.

  • Overwrite Citadel database

I want to overwrite contents of the citadel database.
In my application, the alarms are logged continuosly.
So is there a maximum limit for the database size.
Can i give a option, say after one month period overwrite the previous data.

Sorry for the confusion -- lifespanning applies only to data, not alarms as REM1 explained above.
Here's a VI which implements the SQL query to delete the Alarms from the MSDE database.
The attached .llb is saved in LabVIEW 7.0. Run the top-level VI (DeleteAlarms.vi). Enter the name (not the URL) of the database to be deleted, and the desired time range, and run the VI. NOTE: the time range is UTC time.
The VI makes use of the osql.exe command line tool, which is included with the MSDE installation, so it should not require any special setup. You also accomplish this manually by running:
    osql -E -i C:\command.txt
Where command.txt contains the SQL command to delete the alarms.
    Also attached is a 'Delete
combined.txt' file which contains an example query for deleting alarms from a database named "C__Documents_and_Settings_Adminstrator_Desktop_Dbs_OPCAlarms_data" in the time range (11/11/2003 11:31:00PM, 11/11/2003 11:46:00PM).
    Hope this helps.

    Khalid

  • Clocks App Unusable

I set an alarm to wake me up at a certain time. I know that I set the alarm to make certain sound when it went off. When I woke up, I grabbed my phone to look at the time and I see that my alarm is going off and has been for the last two hours. Aparently, even though my phone was not making any noise or vibrating, the screen that has "tap to snooze" and so on was showing. For some reason, I hit the "tap to snooze" button. When the alarm went off this time, it had sound.
If I wanted this to occur, is there anyway I could make it happen? If not, has anyone else had a similar problem? Have you found a solution or do you just not use your iPhone as an alarm clock?

YES I have this same problem and it is INFURIATING!  I have tried every kind of setting. Deleted alarms and reset.  Tried setting alarm through Siri voice commands.  It only actually makes sounds maybe twice a week if I am lucky.
Every day without fail it shows that YES the alarm is activated and I have the option to snooze, but there is NO SOUND or VIBRATING happening.  Sometime if I snooze then the sounds will happen, but almost never will it make sound at the initial time it is set for.
So much for Apple products "just work".

I've looked in other folders and screens and can't locate it.  I understand that there are apps that can't be deleted and this is one of them....I've tried several ways to locate it and can't.
