I had the same problem but i found the way!!!
How do I change incorrect artwork in iTunes?
iTunes Catalog will not overwrite existing artwork when copying artwork to iTunes, so you'll need to delete existing artwork in order to replace it.
In iTunes, select the albums whose artwork you want to delete.
Choose File ▶ Get Info.
Click the checkbox next to the empty Artwork field.
Click OK.
Then, choose Artwork ▶ Copy Artwork to iTunes again.

Hi,
I was wondering how you would delete album art from your iTunes Library. i dragged the wrong thing into the album art spot, and now I can't get rid of it! All I can do now is copy it. When I try to drag it out, I just get a copy of it on my desktop. help...

Select the track and select command-i
Select the "Artwork" tab, select the artwork and press delete.

Deleting Album Art? I need the space for music!!!

So, how does one delete the album art from one's iPhone? I don't mind having it in iTunes, but don't have the space for it on my iPhone.
My iTunes library is at 22 GB (and growing, of course) and so space is at a premium.

You can do this but it will greatly complicate your syncing experience. Only way I know to do this is to delete album art in iTunes then re-sync with the iPhone. This will replace the songs on the iPhone with copies that don't have album art. The, back in iTunes, re download all your album art. Unfortunately, the next time you sync the iPhone, iTunes will again try to replace the files on the iPhone with new ones that have album art. As you can see, this could get to be a very big hassle.

Album art. HELP PLZ!!!

okay. so i just got my ipod nano. and i know its suppose to have like the album art or w/e. by the name of the song artist ect. but so why does some of my songs not have the album art by it? is it suppose to be like that? and others have the album art.
ive checked if the whole album jus doesnt have the album art
but at leaste 1 of the songs on the album show the album art. but the rest it doesnt.
is it supopose to be doing that? and if it isnt. can u plz tell me how to fix it? thx!!

From what I understand there is nothing wrong. If you download songs from itunes store all songs will show the artwork. Now, if you import your own CDs
You must insert the artwork in each song of the album. Providing that you downloaded the artwork, select the first song of the album then SHIFT select the last song of the album. Then select from the menu " get Info" and double click on artwork. You will be prompted to select where you artwork is and select. Once you click ok your artwork will appear on all the songs from your selected album. hope this helps

Deleting Album Art Work

I recently added some album art to some songs. I actually want to change the art I put on a song/group of songs/album. How can I do this i have tried numerous things and nothing. When i drag in a new piece of art into the window at the bottom left it does nothing to cover flow.

First, select all of the songs you wish to change the artwork to (hold down Command while selecting when choosing multiple songs). If you want to do change artwork for an entire album-select it in the browser window (to show the browser window, Command+B).
Second, Command+I (Info), answer yes-you do want to change info for the entire album.
+(If you want to change art for an individual song, select the song and Command+I. Hit the artwork tab, select the existing artwork (if there is any) and delete it. Then choose add. A dialogue/browser-box will open to allow you to navigate to the desired picture file. Click OK.)+
Third, drag art into the box located in the middle-right section of the info panel, then hit OK.

Deleting album art

i've been going through my library and updating the album art, but on a few occasions i've accidentally put the wrong album art in for a piece (or multiple pieces) of music.
i can't find any way to delete the album art. anyone know?

All you need to do is Get Info on the track, click the Artwork tab, select the image or images you want to remove and click delete.

Album art missing, HELP!

I recently synced my iphone 4s with ios6 with iTunes 10.7. I manually manage my music and videos. None of the album art is on my phone. Help! I see this has been an issue but can't find a fix that works! Anyone??

Since you manually manage your iPhone, you will need to remove the albums from the phone (i.e. the version without artwork) and then put those album back on.
When they are put back on to your phone, iTunes will put the version it finds in your Library, which now has the artwork in it.

Itunes deleted album art from all tracks except the first from each album.

I spent so many hours adding the album art to every track of the 1100 albums on my ipod. And recently after connecting my ipod to itunes the artwork has been deleted from every track except the first of each album.
So i can still see all the albums in coverflow but when listening to individual tracks past track one the art disappears. Is there any way that i can get the art back on all my tracks without spending 100 hours on amazon?

Delete album art work

I have incorrect art work for an album in iTunes. How do I edit the artwork or delete the artwork?

Select the tracks, control-click on the selection and choose 'Clear downloaded Artwork'.
You will only see this option when tracks contain artwork downloaded from the Music Store.

1. log into the client to delete
2. go into SCC5 and delete client
3. log into another client and delete entry with SCC4
4. reorg database to recover database space.
Actually, if you check "on" the little "Delete Entry from T000" checkbox, you can skip step 3.
One other way of deleting a client which could give significant performance gain and save time is at OS level using - R3trans
To delete a client( eg: 100 ), you have to create a command file "del100" with following entries
Clientremove
Client = 100
Select *
Place the command file in /usr/sap/trans/bin
$ cd /usr/sap/trans/bin
$ R3trans w <log file name> -u 1 <command file name >
e.g $ R3trans -w del100.log -u 1 del100
To check the progress...
$ tail -f del100

Photo stream only keeps a thousand photos, after which it will start deleting the oldest ones.

Album art not matching correctly between iTunes and iPhone.

So as much as this might not seem as an issue for some, I notice that my album artwork in iTunes does not always match up with the album art on my phone. If I think that some artwork for a song or album is unappealing or not matching, I will change it to my own artwork. Normally, this has never been an issue for me until recently. What happens is I do the normal album art changing procedure (go to get info, add/delete album art) and it works fine. The odd thing is that when I go to select an album on my phone, the album art is the same as what it was in the iTunes Store and not what I added, but the individual songs have the album art that I added myself.
I've managed to fix this issue on some albums by converting them mp3 format, but that only works for some and I don't know why. I would prefer the song art and album art be the same, just because I'm really nitpicky about things matching. Am I missing a step or doing something wrong? Does anyone else happen to have this issue, or any clue what the problem might be? Help would be much appreciated, thanks!

What you are trying to do is clear but iTunes Match / IOS 6 does not work that way.
You can sync playlists from computer to iDevice using the options under the music tab for your iDevice on the computer. This will provide a local copy on the iDevice of each Song included in each Playlist selected for sync.
With iTunes Match / IOS 6, as Songs are played from the iCloud (ie not those already downloaded in playlists) IOS 6 does in fact 'download' the Song to a local cache. In theory this cache should be managed by IOS 6 such that it does not overload your iDevice memory - Apple have not chosen to share exactly how this operates.
Given your notes above would suggest starting from a refresh restore on the iPhone 5 with all synchronisation performed afresh and iTunes Match switched on.

Album art removal?

How come when i delete album art from a song on itunes, the same album art still shows up on my ipod? How can i permanently remove the album art from my ipod touch 3rd generation?

Right click (control+click if using a one button mouse) on the file you want to remove the artwork from, choose Get Info then the Artwork tab, click on the image and press the delete button then OK. To remove from multiple items, highlight the adjacent tracks in your selection (click on the first in the list, hold down the shift key and click on the last), right click and choose Get Info, choose yes when you are asked if you want to edit multiple items, tick the box beside the small empty artwork window about halfway down on the right. (if the songs aren't adjacent to each other but spread through out the playlist or library hold down the Command (⌘) key and click on each of the songs you want to highlight). CTRL and Click on a PC.
