Deleting albums off iphone

I cannot delete photo albums off my iphone 4s

The only place you can delete photos on the phone is in Camera Roll. Photos that have been synced in iTunes can only be deleted by removing them from the sync in iTunes.

  • Deleting albums off iphone 4

When I connected my iphone to the first computer I synced with it, my iphone synced photo albums to my phone that I can't delete. Now that I have a different computer, when I connected it to it, it won't delete the albums and certain pictures in my other albums. How can I save these images to my computer but delete them off my phone? I have the iphone 4, with the latest update.

After looking through similar questions, I tried going through my iTunes, and deleting them that way. When I go to photos options it doesn't show any albums at all. So I can't select any to delete. Super frustrating.
That's because the original pictures was on your old computer and not your new one, so you can't unsync those pictures.
The only way you can remove those pictures is to restore your phone as new.

  • Deleted album off iPhone (synced from CD), won't sync album back onto iPhone 5C running iOS 8.1

I was trying to remove a certain song from my song, and came to the conclusion that I could get the selected music back after REMOVING ALL MUSIC FROM MY PHONE. This deleted the songs I wanted to keep, but not the one I wanted to delete. Anyways, that's not the point. After this, I tried to re-sync the CD (Taylor Swift - 1989) back onto my phone, but to no avail. Here are a few screenshots to help better understand my situation.
The songs still play when I am on the CD, but when I try to play them from the iPhone (second image), they do not play. Please help when possible. This is not urgent, but I would like to have it fixed soon.

Solved. I went into the iPhone (second image) and under music in the first list, I unselected the "Sync Music", Applied changes, Synced my phone again, and then turned "Sync Music" back on. After syncing, the music started playing again.

  • How to remove recently deleted photo album off iPhone by iTunes?

Using iTunes how can i remove the recently deleted photos from my iPhone 4s?

You can't remove the "Recently Deleted"album off your iPhone. You can empty the folder or wait for the photos in the folder to age out (30 days).
This is a feature added to help the many users who accidentally deleted photos from their iPhones, iPads, etc. or later had second thoughts about the deletions.

  • HT1386 How can I delete albums off my phone?

How can I delete albums off my phone?  I have powered down and tried re-syncing and albums on my phone that I don't want will not go away.  I have deleted them from my library on my MacBook but can't get rid of them on my phone.

Photos you synced to the iphone form your computer?
Delete them the same way.  Open itunes, connect iphone, select what you want and sync.

  • Trouble deleting music off Iphone

I trouble deleting music off iPhone and iPod through iTunes. Can't access anything on it.

Now click on "Music" on the top left under "Library", all of your songs will appear to the right.  There is a box to the left of every song.  If it is checked, when you sync it will be transferred to your phone.  To delete a song from your phone, uncheck the box next to it.  When you have unchecked all the songs you want to delete from your phone, click on the Sync botton on the bottom right.  When your phone finishes syncing the unchecked songs should be deleted from your phone.
To summarize: checked songs are synced to your phone when you sync, unchecked songs are deleted from your phone when you sync.
Edit: When you are done unchecking the songs you don't want on your phone, click on the name of your phone again on the left sidebar, then click the Sync button on the bottom right.

  • Itunes upgrade deleted albums off my hard drive?!

I need a fix to this problem!
I just noticed that some of my albums had a "!" next to them in itunes, & when I tried to locate them, I found that they weren't in my itunes folder anymore at all! (therefore no longer on my hard drive, unless itunes moved them to some mysterious location.)
I've heard that it's possible that this is due to an upgrade- the most recent version of itunes I upgraded to is 6.1.1, & it's possible I upgraded from 4.x, instead of 5.x. Has this happened to anyone else?!
    Can you help me?!
    Thanks!

iTunes won't just DELETE albums off of your computer. Depending on your operating system, the files will be placed under different locations. (This solution is under Windows XP)
Now, check your C drive EVERYWHERE. And I mean everywhere. Just go to My Computer and get into your C: . First, usually your Documents will have them, though sometimes the iTunes music file will be somewhere else, though your media will always be branched off in MANY different locations. Now you'll have to click and drag all of your media into one location so you don't have to do an Easter Egg hunt for them all again. Then go into iTunes and go to File, then add a folder into your Library. Then, browse to the file and add it. iTunes will be a bit messy then, so just clear all the media that has the "!" in it.

  • Deleting photos off iphone

i have recently purchased a iphone 3g and i have added my music and pictures to it. i have sinced realised that there is a photo album that i dont want on my phone and am wondering how to delete it. i have plugged my phone into itunes and tryed everything possible but there just doesnt seem to be a delete album button. can someone help.

That really didn't answer the question. I had the original iphone and now the 3gs and had no problems until one of the last updates. It's like the 4 ruined it for us simplistic users. Now, your phone has "Albums" on it instead of the plain, old camera roll. That would be fine if it were user friendly.
If you go to the information tabs and choose which photos (from your mac) you want to sync and choose an empty foler, the duplicate albums finally delete on the device. However, even if you do this and you are only left with the camera roll on the device, you can't delete the pics anymore. The bottom of the screen has only two tabs - albums & places (who really cares about places?!?). The top tabs has Albums and send. The phone used to have a trash can, a send (box w/arrow) and one other choice I can't recall. What happened. I would like to delete photos from the device as I go. How do I get the old screen or how do I delete photos off the device now?

  • Multiple problems with syncing deleting media off iPhone

The syncing process on the iPhone is very frustrating.
As all know, with the iPod, if I wanted to put a song I had in iTunes onto my iPod, all I had to do was connect my iPod, click on the song in iTunes, and drag it on to my iPod. Easy. No more. With iPhone, I have to sync in order to move anything.
What's worse, if I delete anything out of my iTunes for any reason, I ultimately have to delete it off of the iPhone as well. Here’s why: as mentioned above, in order to add a song, I have to sync. Let’s say I have my iPhone set up to sync certain playlists only, e.g., “red,” “green,” and “blue.” If I sync my iPhone and let’s say, song “A” is currently on my iPhone in the red playlist, but has been deleted out of iTunes, my iPhone will delete it. If I try to avoid this problem – i.e., I want to keep red the way it is, so I only want to sync green and blue, and thus uncheck red in the “sync selected playlists” section, my red playlist is deleted off of my iPhone altogether. Why?
This is a problem for multiple reasons. For one, my computer is running out of space. Media takes up a lot of space. I would like to be able to delete things off of my computer without having to lose them in order to sync my iPhone (for anything - iTunes, Outlook, etc). Similarly, I can’t import any songs into iPhone without buying them in iTunes on my computer and then syncing, so if I want to both add new songs and retain the songs I already have on my iPhone, I must keep them on my computer.
I've already suffered the consequences. I deleted 40 hours of lectures (which I have on CD) off of my computer once I put them onto my iPhone, and now the iPhone has just wiped them all out as well. Terrific. I’m not about to reimport all those lectures now. It would take hours, and I’ve already done it once. I am very angry that a $600 piece of equipment has a problem that did not exist on my three-year-old iPod.
And other similar syncing issues abound. If I try to tell the iPhone not to sync video with my computer, it DELETES the video off of my phone. Similarly, with photos – if I don’t want it to sync anymore, because I want to keep my photos the way they are on the iPhone, I can't just tell it not to sync photos. If I do that, it deletes them. This makes no sense to me.
If these syncing problems weren't enough, iTunes no longer lets me play songs from my iPhone on my computer. This was never true with my iPod, and I fail to understand how this enhances security issues, since I was already unable to move media from my iPod back onto my computer.
At the moment (it is 4 AM), I am now sitting at my computer re-syncing everything that I hadn't already deleted off my computer. It is incredibly, unbelievably, mind-numbingly frustrating, and I am NOT a person who gets frustrated by technology. Someone please help - I hope that I'm either missing an easy fix or that Apple is going to update the software immediately.

    Tap Settings App>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.
Take to place (Apple Center) that fixed it before and ask them to show you the steps to keep your iPhone working.

  • Deleting music off iphone while connected to itunes

for some reason i cant not delete music off my iphone when its connected to itunes on my laptop. was wondering whats the issue?

    You're welcome.
    There is only one kind.
There is a Reset and a Restore.
You Reset an iPhone by pressing and holding the Home button and Sleep/Wake or On/Off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so.
A Reset does not affect any data or settings. I Reset my iPhone once a week or so regardless if needed or not and I power my iPhone off and on first thing each morning.

  • How do I delete Albums off of my iPad 2!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

COULD SOMEONE HERE TELL ME HOW TO GET AN ALBUM OFF OF MY IPAD 2!!!!!!   I KNOW THAT USING ALL UPPER CASE LETTERS MAKES IT LOOK LIKE I'M SCREAMING!!!!   I AM SCREAMING!!!!!  I'VE USED A PC SINCE 1991, AND I'M STARTING TO UNDERSTAND WHY I'VE DONE THAT.  THIS IS MY FIRST APPLE PRODUCT, AND I'M DOING A LOT MORE WORK FOR IT, THAN IT IS DOING FOR ME!!!!!!!

First of all the model of the iPad has nothing to do with the software it's running (At least not yet). So it won't help you, to know that this is an iPad 2 (which it propably is, although I don't know all the model numbers by heart). Second: I'm running the same software an you (iOS 5.1.1). The darkening part is pretty normal. When I hit edit I see this:
Now when I said X (propably not the best of choices, sorry), i meant the little thing where the arrow is pointing. Now, if you don't get that "X", there sth. pretty wrong woth your software, but I don't think so. I think you just did't spot it. Now the other albums, are all dark because for some reason you can't delete them. That's because either they are the standart "SAVED PHOTOS/CAMERA ROLL" Album, which cannot be deleted, or because some third-party software has "told" the iPad, those are TABU. That's propably the software the Photos come from on your Computer. Try to manage the problem from there if you want to delete those. It's propably somwere near the section you added them to the iPad. (I know this isn't great help, but I don't know what programme you're running...sorry!) I hope this helps. (Oh, and you are using the Apple-App, for photos, right?)
And, no, I don't work foe Apple. 1.) I'm hardly qualified; 2.) I think I might be too young. 3.) I'm flattered, nonetheless.
