Deleting an old account

Hi, How would I go about deleting an old skype account which hasn't been used for 5 years. I can't remember my email address it is assigned to or password. I have tried filling out the support forms previously to close the account but as i couldn't provide the email address it was attached too or how many contacts I had (presume zero by now). I have never brought skype minutes either. Can anyone help? I can't find an option for a live text chat either to speak with customer service. Thanks

I have contacted them but it doesn't resolve my problem in them putting in there password as I want Iphoto to work with my account not theres?

You can access www.appleid.apple.com and open your old account and delete.

You need to use the old ID and password to delete the iCloud account. After you delete the old account, you can sign in with the new ID in iCloud.

There should be a small + and - in the bottom left cornet of the system preference window. Make sure it's the account you want to delete that is highlighted before clicking on the - button.

I assume you are talking about an iCloud account on your device. You can't actually delete accounts, only delete them from your device and stop using them. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

Your old ID connects to an icloud account containing all your data (email, contacts, etc.) If you then use a different ID, you will connect to a different account, which results in losing all your "apple" data, like emails, contacts, calendars, etc.
However, Apple IDs are also used to connect to an itunes store account, with is different. You can keep using the old itunes store ID to keep all your purchases (but if you change to a different ID, you will lose all purchased items) and use the new ID for icloud (but losing emails, contacts, etc. from the old account).

ALL purchases are permanently associated with whatever Apple ID was used to originally obtain them. Apps can not be updated without knowledge of that ID and, more importantly, its password. Apple IDs can not be merged and purchases can not be transferred from one ID to another.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
It you delete the account, you don't delete the data on the account. So if you log back in, everything will sync back again.
If you are asking if the data will stay on the phone, you have the option to keep it or remove it. You might be better turning each service off one by one here, before actually deleting the account.
