Deleting and re-installing maps

Hello
I wish to uninstall maps and then re-install it, because I seem not to have all the options that should be there. I think the system went crazy after installing the beta version of maps.
I am missing an option from the navigation menu, re-routing. I can't ask for another route for the navigation. It gives me a route, but should I choose another route to get where I want to go, the selection button has the option "another route", but the icon is missing and I can't select that. Thus I can't have another option for routing.
Please, can someone help me.

Right, after speaking to Nokia support the issue is now resolved.
How to fix.
Prepare Phone.
1) Before commencing I would suggest that you delete the cities folder from your phone (as others have suggested this to be an issue). This can be done via the USB connection or using the File mgr. (found under tools).
Update maps software.
2) Goto, europe.nokia.com/maps
3) On left hand side choose the phone (N95) and download the latest version of Nokia maps.
4) Connect phone and install nokia maps. (Requires PC Nokia Suite installed)
5) Follow instructions on phone to complete installation.
Test software.
6) Run Nokia Maps.
7) Choose extra services, add navigation and follow the screen prompts to active or re-activate navigation.
NOTE: When I attempted this the first time it still crashed the maps application. 2nd time through there were no issues and I re-activated navigation.
8) Test navigation.
This should resolve the issue, latest map data can now be downloaded using nokia maps.
Update maps
9) Download v1.3 of map loader
10) Download and install latest map data.

Should I just upgrade or do a delete and fresh install?

Ok I have my copy of Leopard and I'm ready to install on my MacBook. Should I just do an upgrade, or backup my files and do a complete delete and fresh install of Leopard?
What did you do, and why?

Having done a lot of reading on this issue at many forums and sites (like MacFixIt) before I tackled the upgrade, I found the following:
1) Do not do a default upgrade.
2) After people had a chance to test the upgrade paths once 10.5 came out, the majority of comments I read suggested the archive and install.
3) The erase and install was highly recommended at first, but after a few days, when the dust settled, this recommendation didn't appear as much.
My first machine, I did a bootable backup and then an erase and install. All went well until the migrate wizard started copying files from the backup - it couldn't successfully restore one user's files (and it turned out to be me, with admin rights), so I had to manually set myself up. Fortunately, this was a test machine, so the problem didn't bother me. For the two other macs I have, I did an archive and install, and in both cases everything worked perfectly. If you go this route, be sure to delete the "previous systems" folder once you are satisfied with the upgrade.

Try resetting the Yahoo password. Yahoo not infrequently has problems.

Firefox always tells me it crashed and can't open even after having been un-installed and deleted and re-installed

I wanted to get a bookmark I had saved in firefox so when I clicked on it mozilla crash reporter pops up telling me firefox has crashed and then it sends the report. Even when it gives me the option to start firefox in safe mode it gives me the same crash reporter pop-up. I have un-installed firefox completely and then deleted it and re-installed with the newest version and still got the same thing. There is nothing wrong with my computer I have ran virus and malware checks.

Is there a way to delete and re-install the Messages app?

iMessages is not working on my original iPad. It shows contacts as not activated and messages are not delivered. I have tried all of the options detailed in other chats, but they have not worked. I am now at a point where I want to delete Messages and re-install it. Is this possible, and if so, how is it accomplished?

Double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
Tap and hold any icon until they wiggle
Press the red to delete the Messages app from this list.
Press the home twice button when done.
Restart the app.

Photoshop CC will not launch after deleting and re-installing Lightroom

Yesterday, I contacted Adobe support because I could not get my Lightroom trial version to convert to my CC subsciption. I was told to delete the Lightroom app by dragging it to the trash and re-installing. I did this, and it fixed my problem with Lightroom, but now my Photoshop CC will not launch. I am on Mac OS Mountain Lion. I have tried launching from the dock and from the finder both.

Reinstall the original 5.2 and forget the CC version for now. It's exactly the same piece of software. What you did get was a second license, useful if you have more than two machines, but completely redundant if you haven't.
The situation is different when Lr 6 comes out. You'll get that as part of CC and don't need to purchase the upgrade. So at that point you can just install CC and leave 5.x where it is.

Delete and Re-install after upgrade from single app to full cloud suite?

Hi, I recenly upgraded to the full creative cloud membership from a single app subscription of Illustrator last month.
I opened an illustrator file today from the single app installation and recieved a warning that I no longer have access to the program. Do I need to delete this version of illusrtrator and re-install from my new creative cloud suite membership? Or is there a way to register the current downloaded version of Illustrator with my new full suite subscription?

You don't need to uninstall illustrator from your computer.
You can simply launch the program ---> it will give you a pop up that your subscription is expired or the trial is expired ---> in the same window there will be a button 'License this software' ---> click on 'License this software'
---> Sign in with your Adobe Id on whihc you have the full creative cloud subscription ---> your subscription will be activated.
You can install rest of the products.

Lightroom 3 (Vers 3.6) - "An error occurred when attempting to change modules" - is the message I get when clicking on Develop or any other option. I have deleted and re-installed the .dmg file, but it still keeps happening. Can anyone help?

Java option icon not displaying AND Java not working, even after deleting and re-installing Java

Hi, I have uninstalled and re-installed Java. When I look at Add-ons, it shows Java Platform SE7 U17 10.17.2.2 and Java deployment Toolkit 7.0.17… 10.17.2.2 enabled. But it is not working – and I do not see the Firefox plugin to allow occasional use of Java.

I have now unistalled and re-installed Firefox 20.0. restored preferences etc. using MozBackup, and Java Platform and Java Toolkit10.17.2.2. both show as working Add-ons - BUT STILL NO JAVA AND STILL NO RED ICON IN TOOLBAR. What is going on, please ?

I don't understand any of these replies. How do I get Java to run for Pogo.com? I had no problems a week ago. I do not have the red icon. I am not a programer so keep it simple. I am a 59 year old speech therapist.

JDBC Adapter: DELETE and INSERT in Mapping

Hi,
I have a JMS to JDBC interface. While this is straightforward enough, there is a requirement to clear the contents of the table before carrying out the insert
What I've tried is:

             <action> .....attribute mapped to SQL_DML
             <access> ....element mapped to DELETE FROM table
        <TableInsert>
              <action> .....attribute mapped INSERT constant
              <table> ......element mapped to Table name
              <access> ...allthe fields in the table
The DELETE statement works and the Insert statement work but they won't work together. Is this possible at all? What other options are there in this case?

I went for two different Statement tags so the structure of the Message Type is:

Firefox cannot find profile, even after deleting and re-installing.

I un-installed firefox when the problem first started, then re-installed it. Still cannot find profile. I went through the Profile Manager Wizard, but that didn't work. It couldn't find the program. I'm not on firefox now since it won't load.

This is usually caused by a problem with the profiles.ini file and the profile marked as Default=1 in this file is no longer present on the hard drive.

*Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/

You can use one of these to make Firefox create/use a new default profile:
*Delete the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
*Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
*Use "Choose Folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile

Deleted and re-installed LDOM keeps coming back

I am using 11g 11.1.0.1571. I installed an LDOM and installed an OS from a FLAR, and because of problems I deleted it and reinstalled it. I created a new LDOM with a different name and installed a Solaris 10 OS with the old name. It works fine, but there is a 'ghost' LDOM hanging around in the BUI that I can't get rid of. Or rather, I can 'delete' the dependent OS, but I can't delete the ghost LDOM until I go to https://<my-oem-server>/xvm and track down all the occurrences in the domain model and manually unregister the Mbean. In the BUI the old LDOM looks like it's halted, and it's taken on the name of the physical XVM server- weird.
It goes away in the BUI, but as soon as I restart Ops Center it just comes back! Has anybody else seen this? Is there an XML file somewhere in my EC that's saving an entry for this old LDOM and OS?

What’s the permission of the user who deleted the folder in the synced library?
If the user has no permission to delete the folder in the library and he deletes the folder in his local folder where the library is synced, then the folder will not be deleted in the library and the folder will be re-synced to the folder where the user
syncs the library.
If the user has permission to delete the folder in the library, then the folder will be deleted in the library and the folder will also be deleted in other users’ local folder.
I recommend to check if there is someone with right permission who re-created the folder in their local folder.
