Deleting App Files in iTunes App File Sharing?

I recently downloaded the iphone app Ringtone Designer Pro. I successfully created a ringtone, which is great! However, I have many "practice" ringtones such that I want to delete them. The app itself does not give any option for deleting files. In the iTunes, I go to apps->file sharing->Ringtones and I see the files listed under "Ringtone Documents". However, there is no option to delete these files here either? So what can I do to delete these unwanted files without deleting the app itself?

Just sellect the file you want to delete and click the delete button on your keyboard. There will be a pop up window to confirm if you want to delete the file. Just hit yes. Then job done. Hope this helps.

  • How do I delete a file sharing account?

I was setting up Time Machine on my wife's new Air to back up to a USB hard drive on my iMac. When I was sharing the drive, I added her as a user and must have mistyped the password as I can't login. I've set up a temp account and all is well with Time Machine backups, but I want to delete the account where I don't have the correct password.
It does not show up in the normal Users pref pane, but does appear if I select to add a User to a shared folder.
Where is this account located so I can delete it?
    Thanks,
    Tad

Click the file you wish to delete to highlight it then press the delete key. You will get a warning box asking if you really want to delete the file.

Thanks for your reply. I looked in the Video app but it is empty. When I connect the iPad to iTunes on the iMac and look in  Apps > File Sharing > iPhoto, the video that I added is in iPhoto on the iPad but I cannot actually find the video in iPhoto on the iPad.

  • I select my Ipad under devices in itunes, go to apps that support file sharing, select kindle but none of the kindle book files on my ipad appear under kindle documents

I want to copy books I've purchased for Nook and for Kindle from my Ipad to my laptop.  In Itunes I select the Ipad under devices, select apps at the top of the screen and scroll to file sharing apps.  When I select the kindle app or the nook app nothing appears under the documents window.

You can't do it via File Sharing, those two stores don't support the copying of your Kindle/Nook purchases off their apps via file sharing.
If you want your Kindle book on your laptop then you could download the Kindle app from Amazon and download the books directly in it : Kindle apps.
    I don't think that Nook have a PC/Mac app

  • ITunes app file sharing not working with iOS 7.1.1

After upgrading my iPad 2 to iOS 7.1.1, I can't use the app file sharing in the latest version of iTunes on Windows 7. I first noticed it with the Kindle Reader app but confirmed that it also isn't working with GoodReader, HDExplorer, and Notability. Any ideas?

It continues to be UNREAL how Apple will release iOS software without testing it.  Yep.  They BROKE WIFI SYNC.  It no longer works on my iPhones or iPads either.  UNREAL!!!!!!

  • ITunes File Sharing under Device/Apps does not add content to my iPhone. Why not?

I have attempted to get iTunes File Sharing:
    1.  Select your device (in my case an iPhone 4).
    2. Click on the Apps tab.
    3. Select an application that allows for File Sharing and either drag a document or file into the documents area or use the Add button to get the file added.
    4. Click the sync button to sync the content to your device.
I cannot get this to work. I have attempted to uninstall iTunes and all components and have also called Apple Support with no resolution. Has anyone else seen this issue and if so do you have a resolution?
I have tried with multiple applications as well as multiple files with no luck.
    Any help is sincerely appreciated.

    Hi,
You cannot manually manage music with match turned on on your iOS device. If you want to manage music manually, you will need to turn off match on your iPhone.

  • File sharing not showing up in my itunes with my imovie app or garage band. What is missing?

I am trying to import a movie from imovie app to my itunes. When i click on my device in itunes then click on apps the file sharing option does not show up. What am I missing?

I just found the answer here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/20447090#20447090
You don't need to use the sidebar to pull up the info, actually. Just scroll on the edge of the window and the file sharing stuff will show up.

  • Where is the iPad App file sharing in the new itunes?

I exported a file from ArtRage App. One is supposed to go to iPad Tab, then Apps Section, and scroll to the bottom and find the file. But I just updated to the new iTunes and I don't see a way get the file anywhere within it. What should I do to get the file in the New itunes? the only help information I can find is from the last version. ...I should not have updated...
    Thank you.

With iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC. Then select the iPad on that left-hand sidebar, and on the right-hand side of iTunes select the Apps tab and scroll down it, and you should see the file sharing section - select that app on the left-hand side of that section

    Yes there is.
Connect the iPad to your computer. Launch iTunes and at the menu at the top of the screen, go to View>Show Sidebar. After you have the sidebar, click on your iPad name like you did in the past. Click on the Apps tab in the window on the right. Scroll down to File Sharing apps.

  • Have iTunes 10.2.2 the "File Sharing" tab for apps is missing.

I have recently purchases an iPod Touch. I have a PDF reader app and a eBook reading app. I cannot add any files because there is no "file sharing" window at the bottom of the apps tab.  Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

A few dozen have looked so I may not be alone. Yet no one has offered a suggestion? I am still at 10.2.2.214 and iPhone on iOS 4.2.1. iTunes takes very long time to open 3+ minutes and does not respond when  device connected then fails to see any device connnected. Will Apple address or fail to fiind this issue? two years ago a few months passed and few upgrades then iPhone was recognized. All worked fine until last month with10.2 update. What are my options here? Please I have gone through ideas presented here for amonth, get one or two to work for a day and then fail after that. I would like to get stable operation of iTnes and then I'll leave things alone. I really do find the 3GS a good buy right now but, with no iTunes why buy it?

  • HT201301 Pages does not show up as an app that supports file sharing in my iTunes.  Why??????

I just downloaded Pages & Open Word onto my iPad because I want to be able to load my recipes from my iMac onto my iPad to use in my kitchen.  When I try to use iTunes to transfer the files, neither app shows up as working with file sharing.  What am I doing wrong?  What app can I use to get these files from my desktop to my iPad?

I have Pages and file sharing is file sharing so step by step....
Connect the iPad to your Mac
    Launch iTunes.
Click on your iPad name under the devices heading on the left sidebar of iTunes. If you are using iTunes 11 and don't see the sidebar go to View>Show sidebar.
Click on the Apps Tab at the top of the iTunes window on the right.
Scroll down to File Sharing Apps
Do you see Pages in that list of Apps?
If you do - click on it.
Now drag any of your Pages files from the desktop into the file sharing window on the right.
    Launch Pages on the iPad.
In thumbnail view - Tap the + sign in the the upper left corner
From the popup window select - Copy from iTunes.
From the next window - select the file that you just dragged into the file sharing window.

  • Whats happened to file sharing apps? how do i add save files in office HD, keynote, VLC etc.....seems to have disapered in itune 11...apple why do you do this?

whats happened to the file sharing apps after the itunes 11 update.
Im trying to move files in office HD, keynote and VLC.....this was easily done in previous version.
apply why do you do this? you always disapoint on updates and leave users high and dry.
    someone please help.

Believe it or not File Sharing is there but in a slightly different location. But I was definitely confused and had trouble finding it when I looked because of the way iTunes has windows within windows.
Start iTunes 11 and connect your iPad.
Select your iPad. I choose to "View Sidebar" so my iTunes looks more familiar. So I select my iPad in the Sidebar.
I the main window I select Apps. And scroll down.
There are multiple sub windows within the main window. The first sub wind is Apps. If you scroll in the Apps window that's all you will see, your apps.
Move your cursor outside of the App window and the main window will scroll. Below the Apps sub window is another subwidow called File Sharing. That's where you'll find the familiar file sharing area.
    Good lick,
    Ralph
