Deleting Application Instance Form OIM 11gR2

Hi Experts,
I deleted an application instance from sysadmin console and ran "Application Instance Post Delete" job on "Delete" mode.
I noticed that application instance got completely removed but, When I tried to add a new form in that App Instance, i could still see older Form in the drop down list.
Is there a way to delete those forms seperately?
thanks

Thanks NN, I did not check after removing from sandbox earlier, the form still shows up in the dropdown.. Is there some table or lookup from where we need to remove some enteris?
thanks

    Hi,
In our scenario we have Disconnected applications in OIM. AI (Application Instance) form and PD editing is created by OIM.
We want to add additional field in AI form.It is visible in back end. But,its not visible in OIM admin console for admin and as well for end user.
Is there any property related to form field in AI ,where we need to make changes to make it visible ?
Instance used is OIM 11gR2 PS1

  • OIM11gR2 - How to migrate an Application Instance Form

    Hello,
I'm trying to migrate an Application Instance Form from my Dev env to my QA env.
    My target system is SAP
I performed the following steps in Dev:
    1. Installed and configured the SAP Connector (no problem here)
    2. Created a sandbox
    3. Created an Application Instance
    4. Created the Application Instance Form
    5. Ran a target reconciliation to confirm everything is working properly
    6. Exported the sandbox
    7. Published the sandbox
    8. Via Deployment Manager I exported all objects related to SAP (Resource object, Process Forms, Lookups etc.)
    In QA I did:
    9. Installed and configured the SAP Connector (no problem here)
    10. Via Deployment Manager I imported the objects related to SAP
    11. Imported the sandbox
    Problem:
To my surprise, the Application Instance does not have a Form in the QA env.
I had to create it manually by performing the following:
    12. Create a sandbox
    13. Open the Application Instance definition
    14. Click on create (to create a form)
    15. Entered the same name I used in my Dev environment
    16. Received an error message saying that the form already exists
    17. Entered a different name for the Form
    18. Saved
    19. Exported the sandbox (to import in Prd)
    20. Published the sandbox
    21. Ran a target reconciliation to confirm everything is working properly
I tried to reproduce the problem with another (test) destination environment because I don't want to have the same problem when migrating to Prd.
I repeated the steps 9,10,11 except that I imported the sandbox exported from QA (step 19) instead.
The same problem: Application Instance definition has no Form attached to it in my test destination environment.
If I try to create the form with the same name, it gives an error message saying it is already there.
    Is my procedure wrong?
Is there an official procedure explaining how to migrate only Application Instance Form from one env to another?
    My env:
    OS: Windows 2008 R2 SP1
    OIM: 11gR2 BP7
    SAP connector: 9.1.2.2.0

    This is a bug: Bug:16027176
Check the [Article ID 1515225.1] which proposes a workaround that might be useful in your case (it was not in mine).
    In short the workaround is:
The following order should be observed to export :
    - IT Resource & Application instance in one xml
    - Request DataSet in another xml
    - SysAdmin Sandbox (the one defined while creating the Application Instance and the Form)
    - Identity URL Sandbox (defined while customizing the fields on the Form, in the Catalogue page)

  • Populating the request attributes in Application Instance forms of OIM11gR2

    Hi,
We have configured request based provisioning for the 3 target applications. As a process
    1) Manager is log in to OIM Identity console and selects the one user and provision the application Instance after selecting the required roles in the Application instance forms of Catologue page.
2)With in the same login session, if manager selects another user and tried to provision the same application instance, details of first user is displaying in the application Instance forms.
Actually differrent data need to populate in the application instance forms for each user.
Please let us know the the solution for this issue.
    Thanks,
    RBM

    Hi,
Whats  your exact version of OIM and BP? It can be issue with particular version.
Also, it looks like your request form pre-pop may not be working properly. Can you put some sysout and try to check in your logs about what value is getting printed when you are selecting another user?
We have used this scenario in OIM 11.1.2.0 + BP7 and it was working.

  • Adding Inbuilt OIM fields in User View form OIM 11gR2

I am working on customizing my OIM User View form. I want to include some internal OIM dates like USER create date (USR_CREATE in USR table)
USER update date (USR_UPDATE in usr table) in my USER VIEW FORM.
Below are the steps i am performing:
    1. Login into identity console
    2. Activate sandbox
    3. Go to users link
    4. Click on search
    5. Click on any user (user login)
    6. In view page click on Customize button on the top right
    7. click on view-->source-->click on area--> edit
But after here i do not see any option to import the inbuilt OIM dates to form.
    Please provide a solution/documentation/referrence material.
This is a bit urgent so quick action will be very helpful..
    thanks

If you don't able to see this in the Managed User data component then you can't include those field. As you know these attributes are for OIM internal usage.
So, you can't include these OOTB system attributes.
If realy it is required for your business need. you can try below
    1. create an UDF say USR_UDF_UPDATE
    2. write a trigger(insert, update) on USR table and copy USR_UPDATE value into USR_UDF_UPDATE if any insert update happen on USR table.(you can specify the trigger based on specific column as well).
    3. now add this UDF to the user view page
    --nayan

  • OIM 11gR2 - unable to suppress display of iPlanet process form

    OIM 11gR2 or 11.1.2
    SJSDS Connector 9.0.4
I have configured the SJSDS connector, it resource, etc and am able to manually/directly provision iPlanet User to an OIM user through the identity interface.
I have configured the process form to pre-populate all necessary fields.
I have checked the Auto Save Form checkbox within the iPlanet User Process Definition.
It is my expectation that when an administrator directly assigns the resource to a user they will not be presented with the process form. However, when we directly assign the resource, the process form is displayed causing the administrator to submit the form.
I have double checked the documentation regarding Auto Save Form within the Developer's Guide for Oracle Identity Manager 11g Release 2 (11.1.2) - E27150-03 and the Oracle® Identity Manager Connector Guide for Sun Java System Directory Release 9.0.4 - E10446-12 and I believe my expectations are correct.
    1) Has anyone successfully suppressed the process form while direct or manually provisioning SJSDS through the identity interface?
    2) Could the Auto Save Form be only related to request-based provisioning?
    Thank you in advance.

These are also good questions but I'll give details :-)
    1) Does that make the "Auto Save Form" checkbox useless? -
NO, If you don't do this then your Provisioning will stuck into System Validation.
    2) Can you "Auto Save" the Application Instance form?
NO, as per Oracle either hide these attributes or delete these attributes but there's no clean way to delete such things.
    Question For You:
If you don't want to Auto Save your Application Instance Form then why did you create that.
    Workaround:
If you don't want Application Instance then create one more Application Instance without any form

  • Request dataset in OIM 11gr2

    Hi Experts,
I have integrated OIM 11gR2 with Siebel and able to provision by xelsysadm. My requirement is End User will be raising request for siebel resource and approval workflow associated with is triggered.
    1. End user raising the request is able to view the process form, I need to restrict few attributes i.e. position and responsiblity should not be visible to end user
    2. Position and Responsibility should be provided by approver (this is specified in request data set of provision resource)
    3. As per Oracle document there is no request data set for PROVISION and MODIFY resource. What is the replacement for this?
    4. After Request is raised it has been assgined to xelsysadm, how do i control the approval ?

Looks like some form version changes got corrupted.
    You can do following things..
    1) Make a new form version using Design condole
    2) Make Recon Profile Active in Resource Object.
    3) In Application Instance-> Form-> Create new Form.
If its not solved, you can uninstall and install your connector again.

  • Error while adding user after customizing form in 11gR2

    Hi Experts,
I have worked on customizing my User view form. I followed steps as:
Navigated to View user form--> clicked customize (top left) --> view --> source --> selected area --> clicked edit on popup box
I made certain changes on labels names and added certain UDF's.
Then without publishing that sandbox, i simply de-activated it and clicked on user link (identity console) to add a new user.
While clicking on submit new user i got error:

Has anybody faced this issue earlier? Please share your ideas..

When you create a custom attribute (UDF) on an application instance form, it is created only in the backend, and is not available in the page for use on which you want it to be displayed. Try to display this field that is throwing error and regenerate your View.
    You UDF using different steps:
login->identity url->users->go to create user->Include values for mandatory fields->click on customize->left(top)->View->Source->select area->edit->Click on 'Add Content' (on left top)->Data Component catalog->scroll down and select User VO->Refresh dialogue box->select the field and click 'Add'->on dropdown select 'ADF Input test w/label->close that window->Check if it added to create user form->save and close customization
    I hope this helps,

  • Issue with request approval in OIM 11gR2

    HI,
I have created an workflow so that when ever a user tries to provision an entitlement to a user then request should go the approver. Now whenever the request has been raised , workflow has been triggered and the approver approves the requet and the status of the request changes to approve. But even then the entitlement is not getting provisioned to the user. I am getting the below logs :

Please help me in resolving this issue.
    Thanks,

    1. End user raising the request is able to view the process form, I need to restrict few attributes i.e. position and responsiblity should not be visible to end userEnd user will see Application Instance Form and you can customize the UI to hide attributes
    2. Position and Responsibility should be provided by approver (this is specified in request data set of provision resource)
Make your Java Code/Beans/Expression to show/hide attributes conditionally.
    3. As per Oracle document there is no request data set for PROVISION and MODIFY resource. What is the replacement for this?Application Instance Form
    4. After Request is raised it has been assgined to xelsysadm, how do i control the approval ?Approval Policies

  • Adding a field to AD form in OIM 11gR2

    Hello,
I'm trying to add a field to the AD resource form in order to provision data that is not handled by default by the connector (the scriptPath field). I've followed the instructions in the connector documentation that explain how to add a field by using the design console. Once I was done, my new field was not present in the form that was presented when trying to provision an AD resource. When going to the form designer in the administration web console, the field was not there either. So I've tried adding it by using the web based form designer, but the field would still not show up when provisioning an AD resource. I've purged the cache and even tried restarting the OIM server. Anything I could have missed?
    Thanks,
    --jtellier

Did you regenerate view or not? Whenever you add any attribute on application instance/ resource form. Its not directly visible. You have to either regenerate view or display ising webcenter composer.

  • Prepopulate process form of Disconnected Application Instance not working

    Hi All,
I have a created a Disconnected application instance (OIM 11.1.2) and need to prepopulate Process form when this will be requested from catalog.
Prepopulating is working but not as expected.
    Exact Situation
    1) Login to self service page and select a user
    2) from accounts tab -> click request Account
    3) Catalog page will be opened and select the disconnected application instance
    4) check out
    5) In the check out page, process form and child form are displayed(I attached child form also)
    6) "Prepopulate adapters are not populating the fields in check out page"
    7) Submit the request with blank details (blank form fields).
    8) Log out and Login as 'Xelsysadm' (By default request goes to 'XELSYSADM'). When opened the request, Here fields are prepopulated
    Required
    1) Fields should be prepopulated in check Out page, before submiting the request. So, that the requestor could view the details before submitting.
    The following are checked
    1) In the process definition (from design Console) of disconnected app instance, 'Auto save form' and 'Auto prepopulate' is checked
Please tell me, what else could be done, to make this work
    Thanks in advance....

  • OIM 11gR2 not able to see forms within Design Console

    Hi Guys
About the design Console, i'm not able to get any form when searching them within the design console...any idea?
I've already gone through the whole steps to configure the design console.
I gets "No record found for this query" even when i set a generic search.
    Thanks!

have you install any Connector in OIM? If yes then the form will be available in the design console. Or if you have created manually using design console->form designer
While creating Application Instance we create some form top of the base form those form won't be available in design console. however you can search those as below:
login to sysadmin url->go to Form Designer-> select Resource and the name of the Resource Object and find forms for respective RO.
