How can I delete a paid app from my download queue? It was not successful as I did not have billing details.
I have an app which I bought for $1.99 (I think) on my iPhone. When I wanted to install it on my iPad, I found an app with a same screenshot and name as the one I already purchased but priced at $24.99 and with a different developer. I clicked install as I thought it should install without asking for payment details, but it did. I do not want to pay for it if I have to.

If you have the left-hand sidebar showing click Apps under Library, if you don't have the left-hand sidebar showing then click Done at the top right of the screen to go back to your library and then select Apps via the selection button top left.
You will now be able to permanently delete apps from itunes - Select app - right click - delete - send to recycle bin

Yesterday, I have downloaded the APPSGONEFREE and there is one App called the Victorian Mystery that is still free and i downloaded it. After a few minutes it pop up on my iphone homescreen, it can't be loaded. So I tried to delete it but it cant be deleted. (there is no x mark on top of it). I then use my itunes to synchronize it through my iphone but it wasnt able to delete it. They are not taking up storage space. Apple knows you installed them at one time (="purchased", whether you paid money or not), and merely keeps a list so that if you wish to reinstall any of them on this or a future device, you can. This is useful if maybe you deleted them due to space constraints, and now have a device with more memory and wish to reinstall.
It's also useful for taking a trip down Memory Lane looking at all the useless apps you installed once then immediately deleted once you realized they were total garbage ...
