Deleting/archiving individual BP role

Hi,
we are in progress of cleaning up data after migration of a large number of business partners.
As part of this we have developed an utility program to quickly delete data of a single incorrect partner, using function module 'BUP_BUPA_DELETE'.
This function removes the entire set of BP data from database.
In some cases we would need a more fine-grained approach for deleting only a single BP role.
Do you have any ideas if this could be achieved in a more 'civilised' way than physically deleting a record from BUT100 table? (I mean a utility program or function module that would clean up all references to role, etc.)
kind regards,
Michal

Hi,
We also wanted to delete a role but got the answer
it can not be done.

  • Adding/Deleting T codes to roles. Finding the correct roles to add/delete T

    Hi Folks
    I would like solutions to 3 questions.
    1) How do you Add/Delete transaction codes to roles (ECC6)
    2) How do you find the correct roles to Add/Delete these T codes
    3) Has anyone any documentation and or screenshots on Versa, the Compliance Calibrator.
    We are using single roles within composite roles.
    Useful answers will be rewarded.
    Thank you very much
    Mark W

    Hi Mark,
    Typically the functional team or organisational design team will specify the roles required and the transaction assignment to those roles.  By working with them, you can understand what part of the business processes the roles represent and get an idea about which transactions go in what roles.  They will also be able to advise if a new role is required id a transaction is missing.
    The allocation of tx to roles should only be approved by role owners or appropriate responsible resource, and they should stipulate exactly which roles those tcodes go into.  If you have not been involved in the role design then it is not appropriate for them to expect you to make those kind of decisions.
    All of the recent compliance calibrator docs are on the service marketplace, I'm sure that the basis team on your current project will either give you their OSS ID to let you download them, or alternatively will download the docs for you if they have concerns about sharing the ID.  From memory, if you have security certification, you should be able to get an individual OSS ID from SAP.
    There is some high level info available from www.sap.com/grc and a brief overview of an install of CC5.1 here: http://www.*********************/sox_sod/sox_sod.htm
    Hope that helps
    Cheers

    I realise you can you can delete them on your ipod slowly as you have to click on each one, and you can restore your ipod, but surely there is a way to get around this?

    Download/install an app is a know possible solution.
    3. Install another app from the App Store
    If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.
    Note: If you have installed apps using multiple Apple ID accounts, you may need to perform this step for each account.

    If you deleted them from both PhotoStream and the camera roll, and you don't otherwise have them backed up, they're gone.

  • How to delete archive log files from ASM through Grid Control

    Hi
    Anybody suggest me how to delete archive log files from ASM through Grid Control.
    Thanks

    It is important to specify both, the oracle version and os version when posting, so confusions can be avoided.
    In this particular case, since you are referring to asm and grid control you could be talking about either 10gR1, 10gR2 or 11gR1; but I strongly suggest you to avoid us to be guessing. In either case, you sould go to the maintenance tab of the target database and program a scheduled 'delete noprompt obsolete;' procedure. This will purge the information stored at the Flash recovery area, which I assume you have declared inside the ASM.

    I delete an individual message but the time I received the message is still showing next to the persons name in my inbox instead of going back into the correct date/time order. Anyone know how to fix this?

    SOLUTION
    Open "terminal" on your mac and type the following:
    defaults write com.apple.mail IgnoreSortOrderWhenSelectingAfterDelete 1
    (copy and past the whole line)
    This will stop that behaviour in mail.
    It works on most opperating systems.
    mine is.

  • How to delete archive log on standby site

    hi
    i configured dataguard on 10g. could anyone suggest how to delete archived log on standby site..

    Hi,
    There is no automatic feature out-of-the-box but you have the following views:
    1) Shows archive logs transfered:
    select sequence#, first_time, next_time from v$archived_log order by sequence#;
    2) Shows archive logs applied:
    select sequence#, archived, applied from v$archived_log order by sequence#;
    If you see your archivelogs applied you can safely remove archive log files from your disk. It is your decision if you keep or delete them completely.

  • How to delete archive logs on the standby database....in 9i

    Hello,
    We are planning to setup a data guard (Maximum performance configuration ) between two Oracle 9i databases on two different servers.
    The archive logs on the primary servers are deleted via a RMAN job bases on a policy , just wondering how I should delete the archive logs that are shipped to the standby.
    Is putting a cron job on the standby to delete archive logs that are say 2 days old the proper approach or is there a built in data guard option that would some how allow archive logs that are no longer needed or are two days old deleted automatically.
    thanks,
    C.

Check this note.
    *Configure RMAN to purge archivelogs after applied on standby [ID 728053.1]*
    Still it is on 9i, So you need to schedule RMAN job or Shell script file to delete archives.
    Before deleting archives
    1) you need to check is all the archives are applied or not
    2) then you can remove all the archives completed before 'sysdate-2';
    RMAN> delete archvielog all completed before 'sysdate-2';
    As per your requirement.

  • HELP! SAP Execute Delete Archiving Session failure

    Dear All,
    Could anyone give me opinions on SAP problems?
    When we archived object u201CFI_documntu201D, delete a u201CFilesu201D in tcode u201CSARAu201D, the AIX file system u201C/Oarcle/R3P/oraarchu201D was full, SAP and database have stopped, one archiving session deleting was failed and cannot retry. The SAP error message below:
    "Text CCR 110000570022007002 ID 0001 language EN not found"
    Message no. TD600
    Diagnosis: you want to read a text which does not exist in the database (or update memory)
    system response: Reading could not be carried out.
    Procedure: you need to create this text:
    1.Initialization (module INIT_TEXT)
    2.Save (module SAVE_TEXT)
    In SAP -> Overview of Archiving, the icon of file "000092-0031FI_DOCUMNT" is a THUNDER, not a green light.
    I captured screen for reference.

    Please teach me how to delete archiving session after archive job was completed.

    Hi Alan,
    I have not faced this particular situation, so the following is just a thought,  please try with caution.
    Delete the cancelled job from the job overview, this possibly does away with the flash icon (THUNDER) on the deletion status of archive file, hopefully you should be able to manually re-run the delete job by going to SARA-(object FI_DOCUMNT) ->Delete and choosing the file for which deletion was incomplete.
    Hope this works,
    Naveen

    The first part works fine ARV_BC_XMB_WRP...., and i can view the list of the message ids that have been archived in files.
    The second bit ARV_BC_XMB_DEL... fails to due a runtime error "NO_DDIC_TYPE":
    check for dictionary type
      rel_name = me->get_relative_name( ).
      if me->is_ddic_type( ) = ABAP_FALSE or rel_name is initial.
        raise no_ddic_type.
      endif.
    Has anyone come across the above error?
    Object BC_XMB has been activated, but i have unable to fill it.

  • How do I delete an individual text completely off my phone

    How do I delete an individual text completely off my phone, so that the timestamp of the deleted text doesn't appear anymore.
    ios 8, seems to keep deleted texts on the phone, if I delete a text message it will be removed from the message app but the person who I texted and the timestamp of the message still stays. this ends up showing the person in my messages with a timestamp for a message that doesn't exist.

    Well you can try this, but I'm not sure it's going to work if this is an entirely new ID.
    Go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    Select the Inbox folder to see emails.
    click on first email to get focus.
    Hold down 'Ctrl' key and press 'A' key
    This will highlight /select all emails.
    they will appear as conversations in the Message Pane
    Clickon Delete.
    when it has finished - you do have a lot of emails :)
    Right click on Inbox and select 'compact' - this removes all marked as deleted emails.

    If the archives are deleted manually in open mode, how can Oracle match the archived logs' retention policy? Does Oracle store the archived logs in data dictionary?While you can delete archivelogs manually any time you want, you should let rman manage them with appropriate rman commands, preferably in a script that you schedule for regular execution.
    Some of your questions lead me to question if you understand that archivelogs are not actively open by the database, and they technically are not part of the database. They are simply a series of "offline" copies of the online redo logs. They are written to once, when an online redo is being archived, then they just sit there until needed for a recovery.
