Deleting Audio in Slideshow CS3

Hi,
I've had a good search so I'm assuming its me doing something wrong.
I'm using Encore CS3 and have created a slideshow. However I want to remove one of the audio tracks and insert another one.
I'd guess that I would highlight the track and press delete, or drag the audio file onto the "trash" symbol.
However, both of these options don't work.
I've noticed this in other project and recreated the slide show previously.
Is this a know problem or am I doing something wrong?

How do I delete or substitute an audio track from a slideshow created in Photoshop Elements 6? Unlike ProShow Gold's slideshow editing of audio tracks, in Elements 6 I do not even see the audio track displayed anywhere...in my show I added several of the stock audio tracks contained in Elements 6, but there appears to be no timeline audio track display, or other way to use the editor button to change or delete an audio track. Advice?

Idvd fit audio to slideshow

When I import or create a slideshow with music in Idvd, I choose the fit audio to slideshow option. The timing of the specific slides with the music has been choreographed, especially the conclusion of both photos and music at the end.As an Iphoto slideshow,a Quicktime movie, etc...the product is perfect. However, once in idvd the sldies will continue past the conclusion of the music.Even deleting thumbnails does not solve the issue.This wasn't an issue until Leopard upgrade.Any thoughts?

Hi and good day,
I don't listen much to music, but mostly audio files (radio programmes etc.)
But there is still one big drawback with iTunes:
What I want to do is to be able to __delete__ an audio file (or song)
on my iPad/iPod/iPhone (the Mac Library is there via Home Sharing)
once and for all:
I don't want to have to go back to iTunes and delete them there.
I want to delete them on the device and forget about them!
Please Apple it's about time.
Any suggestions welcome!

I can click on fade in and fade out and the yellow line that graphs volume takes a sharp raise or dip at the beginning or end of the clip, but there is no change in volume when I play back. Thanks for the reply. Great news about the volume adjusts.
Now about those fades for the volume. How are you doing that?
1. Right click the Timeline video audio and select Fade and then
see the Fade options (I had a video with audio file, so I saw the choices as shown in the screenshot)
2. You can also create two volume keyframes at each end of the Timeline audio clip rubberband (orange line that goes horizontally across the middle of the audio clip). At the position of the Timeline Indicator, click the Add/Remove Keyframe icon, and then with the mouse cursor position the white dots (volume keyframes) to achieve the Fade In and Fade Out audio. In the screenshot below I have moved the Timeline Indicator so that you could better see the white dots (volume keyframes).
Please let us know if any of the above works for you with regard to the audio fades.

I can tell you a work around to get you going in the meantime, just may be time consuming if you have a lot of clips in the timeline.
double click a clip missing audio
press the go to in point and copy the timecode to notepad
press the go to end point and copy timecode
right click clip, and reveal in project
double click the original in project
paste in timecode and set in & out points again
drag audio
As I said not the quickest way, but it works, and won't actually take as long as you'd think, 30 secs or so per clip, i just hope you don't have over 100 clips without audio

Excuse me in advance for asking about a topic that may be
very popular!
I'm using the attached code to go from the main stage to one
subset of .swf files (loaded movies) and I apparently have no
problems with overlapping. Hell, the files even seem to unload
themselves correctly. Then, when I go to my second subset of .swf
files (with the exact same AS3 structure), which has a Flash Video
file (made by the FLV Playback component), I get into an
overlapping problem associated with the audio.
How can I stop, cancel, or unload the audio when the file is
clicked away from (the user selects another button on the main
stage)?

I have tried to clean up code and do this right.
I need help referencing (storing the value in the variable
"stopsoundoverlapReq") the "flvplayback instance AFTER theVideo is
instantiated (ie, the frame that contains theVideo has rendered)"
correctly.
Also, now I need help with the name of my nav bar button's
method followed by parentheses, which should include the
appropriate method parameter.
On my main timeline, I tried to clean up the code and use:

Relinking Deleted Audio to Clips

Is there a way to relink deleted audio from clips that were unlinked from their audio tracks that were then deleted? so basically, if I have a clip, cut it and edit it, unlink the video and audio, delete the audio, and then later want to have the audio again. One way would be to drag in the clip, align it with the old clip, copy all edits and delete the old clip, but I have a lot of clips. I thought one option would be to open the .prproj file in a text editor and change it there, as this has saved me hours of work on other applications. Can't find any info though on the file structure, and I could spend the better part of 2 weeks hunting this one down. If anyone has a fix, I would very much appreciate it. And Alt-dragging the source clip from the bin onto the old clip does not bring in the audio.

There's no 'easy' way to do this. That's why it's best to never delete the audio from clips. Mute the track if you have to, but leave the clip in tact.

you need to download and install the driver from hp.com.
Please visit www.hp.com/in and select suport & drivers>drivers & softwares> type the the complete model of your PC such as dv6-6100 dv6-3100 etc... select your computer model (if listed), or select the CTO(such as dv6-6100 CTO) model(which works for whole series) now select the OS you are running. you have the list of drivers for your PC.

hi, when you double-click an audio region in the arrange, it's opens for
editing. You delete some audio, save. Close the Logic file. Quit Logic.
BUT you could later get the audio back by start logic, open that song,
open the audio editor and choose "undo" and like magice the previously
deleted audio reappears.
I want it gone, forever, unrecoverable.
I've deleted the "LogicSampleUndo" files, i've Emptied the Trash per
page 90 of the ref manual.
What do I have to do to actually, really, finally delete this audio ?
I've had to open the audio i peak and do the delete, then save, then logic can't bring it back
but I'd like to just use Logic.

but,
I meant that I want to delete a "protion" of an audio file. This is why I use Logic's sample editor.
Example, a voice dialog that lasts 8 bars. I was to delete, permanantly, the last 2 bars.
Normally, I would open the audio file in the sample editor, select the last 2 bars and hit
the delete key, Logic will show that it's "moving samples" and will warn that I am about to
delete. I hit yes, or delete and the waveform display updates to show that the last 2 bars
are deleted.
But under undo I can aways get the last 2 bars back. I want to NEVER get them back.
Empty the Logic trash?
Kill the undo?

If you are using automatic syncing, you must have set up the shuffle's Books screen in iTunes, to tell iTunes how to sync audiobooks to the shuffle. You go to the Books screen by selecting the shuffle in iTunes, to see the row of "buttons" that starts with Summary. Click on Books there...
If you set up that screen to sync audiobooks to the shuffle, you just need to uncheck the books you no longer want on the shuffle, and click Apply.

Bringing back deleted audio in a sequence

I've always wondered about this question but have never thought to ask about it. Basically, if you have deleted audio from a video clip in a sequence, is there any way to bring that audio back - synced to the video clip - with a click of a button or do you need to go back to the original footage and find in and out points to bring it back? It would seem rather elementary to have an easier option but I've just never seen anything. Thanks.

Put your play-head at the very start of your clip on the timeline and press F. This is the match frame function, and brings the master clip into the viewer window, including the IN and OUT points. You can then overwrite just the audio from the viewer back onto the timeline.
Just make sure that the V1 track destination button is unlinked so that you write just the audio back onto the timeline, this will prevent you having to re-do any Motion or Filters on the video portion of the clip.

I know how to lock the Video track and separate that. I just don't want the rest of the audio to move.

Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.

Deleteing audio tracks at the viewer stage

Is there a way to delete audio tracks before you put them in the time line? Material I have has about 16 tracks with nothing there from a film transfer and they seriously get in the way when all I need is picture.

Use the Patch Panel to bring down only video.
