Deleting batch emails one at a time from your inbox

Unfortunately I receive between 200 to 400 emails a day.  i recently upgraded to ISO 7 in hopes they added a way to bulk delete emails (the same option that is available for your trash emails). Unfortunately, you still need to delete them one at a time.  I'm not sure if that is a safety feature so you don't accidentally delete all your emails, but I for one would love to have the option.
I have a pop 3 account, if anyone knows a different way I could achieve this, I would be grateful if you could advise me how to accomplish this.  Thank you in advance for your help.

Two suggestions:
1.  From the screen that shows your inbox, click "Edit" at the upper right and then check all the emails in the screen.  That might be about six emails.  It might take three seconds or so to perform that action.  Then either click "trash" in the lower right or scroll up and check off some more.  This is a speedy way to delete those emails.
2.  Use your email provider's junk mail filter to filter out those emails that you wish to ignore.

  • On 4S how can I delete emails more than one at a time in my Inbox

Just got the iPhone 4S (first ever iPhone for me).  When I have emails in my Inbox and I want to delete them is there a way to delete more than one at a time?  I know when I go to the Trash it lets me "delete all".  I get quite a bit of emails and it's a huge waste of time to only be able to delete one at a time in the Inbox.

I'm trying to find a way of clicking one box/area and it deleting all the emails in the Inbox.
It can't be done from the iPhone.  You could use Safari, access your webmail and delete from there, if that's easier.

Is there a way to deleter multiple pictures at the same time, from my iphone4s? I know how to delete one at a time. Thanks

Open your Photos App > Camera Roll > At the top right corner you will see a rectangle with a right arrow, select that. Now you can select as many photos as you want and you can hit the red Delete button on the bottom right.

    Hi jenny,
Are you certain that they are both running IOS 6.1.3? Go to Settings>General>About, and check the "Version".

Hi there, I have a 2009 Macbook - running on OS X V.10.6.8... but I'm looking at upgrading the Operating System to V.10.10. Will your latest version of LIghtroom (the one I can currently get a free one month trial of from your site) work with Apple's latest operating system - Yosemite V.10.10? Or will LR only work with V.10.7, 10.8 or 10.9?
    Thanks, Seamus

Hey, problem solved. One of the drives was faulty. I erased the 2nd drive (which was showing up as the degraded raid slice), deleted the RAID set and restored the 2nd drive from a back-up disk image. After that, when I booted using 'option' I was presented with two boot disks but only one that worked. And when it did boot  up only the reformatted disk was showing in Diskutil so I'm guessing the second one is knackered. With it still in place the server still wouldn't boot up from a full shutdown, but the moment it was removed it booted up no probs. Wakes up from sleep as well so it seems sorted.
So now just need to decide whether I'll bother with replacing the second drive or just use an external back-up. I have just bought a 1TB drive to back up to so will probably just go with that.
Btw, is there anyway I can test the drive I removed to see if can be saved?
Thanks for all your help. Your siamese twin comment was the push I need to erase the drive, I'd be holding off before that.

  • Safari crashing while deleting emails one at a time

Once again I am having trouble with deleting unwanted emails. Recently, one of the Apple updates changed the home page that I see my Mobile Me mail on. I can no longe click on "select all" and then delete them all in one quick shot. Now, I must delete them one at a time... which sometimes causes Safari to crash! The last time I posted this problem, I got a lot of snide comments that mobile me has never changed the mail page. I beg to differ. Before the last round of Safari updates, There was a box for "actions" when clicked it offered choices.... including, "select all." Well, that choice has been deleted. Any one know what I am talking about?
I am using the Safari forum, because the trouble started with Safari's latest round of updates, which effected mobile me's mail page, that I can only access through Safari. If I am mistaken, perhaps someone can direct me elsewhere.

    Hi
You can now use the same keys as you would for mail (or files) on your Mac - click on the first and shift-click on the last, or click on one message and click cmd-A to select all. Then use your keyboard delete key to delete them.

  • How do i send mass emails one at a time, without using CC or BCC

In other words, I have a mailing list for my band. When I send emails to myself and bcc a bunch of emails, many people don't receive them or they get bounced to their junk mails. Is there a way to automate Mail so that an email can be sent, one at a time, to a large list of people? I've tried looking through the help document but it doesnt' help. Thanks!

I am also looking for this solution.
I update my address book every so often and on my PC was doing this with a software that sent individual emails in small batches overnight.
How may I do this now that I'm on a Mac?

  • Can delete mail only ONE at a TIME

Ever since the macmail app, changed it's appearence etc., I have been unable to delete unwanted messages I spot in my inbox. In order to delete them I have to open them one at a time, hit delete and w a i t. Going through 150 emails a day one at a time is unacceptable. What's going on?

Ever since the macmail app, changed it's appearence etc.
What are you talking about? Mail hasn’t changed its appearance since Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) was released.
If you’re not using Mac OS X’s Mail, but .Mac mail on the web instead, you’re posting in the wrong forum. The right forum for such questions would be .Mac Email On The Web. This forum is for discussing issues related to the Mail & Address Book applications included with Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger).

  • Deleting cookies, either one at a time or all, does not work; they reappear when I go back to view them. This is a critical privacy problem!

Removing cookies does not work, either one at a time, or remove all. I tried from history and from the options screen. They appear to go away but when I go back in they are all back again. This is happening in the latest version that was automatically updated.'''bold text'''

Do you have an extension like TACO (Abine) or TrackerBlock that maintains a set of OPT-OUT cookies?

In that case you need to remove such an extension to get rid of those cookies.

  • Deleting more than one at a time

I continue to have a problem with this mail program. When I select one email to delete, it deletes 2 of them, either the one before or the one after. The same thing happens when I select something and hit junk it takes two with. Anyone else having this problem? I never had this problem before Leopard and I have been using the Mail program for a few years now.

That is odd. I am not seeing this behavior. How did you install 10.5, upgrade, archive, or erase? You might try deleting the prefs file for mail and also the cache. The files are:
com.apple.mail.plist located in your prefs folder ~/Library/Preferences/
And the folder com.apple.mail located in your caches folder ~/Library/Caches/
I am not sure if the plist file holds account info, but it may hold some settings. But try deleting the folder in Caches and rebooting.
