Deleting BBM contact

Hello everyone..
I have a problem with my BBM. When I trying to delete a BBM contact, It can't be removed. It's happen only in 1 contact. When I try to delete another contact, it's successful..
I have tried to reboot my BB and it doesn't work.. What should I do?? Thank you for your attention
I use Curve 3G v5.0.0.794
My BBM version is 5.0.1.41

For starters, I'd update the BBMessenger to the latest released version, 5.0.3.22.
Use your BlackBerry Messenger function (BBM > Options > Backup) to backup your contacts you have now, and also, do a complete backup using Desktop manager.
Then, go to Options > Advanced > Applications and scroll the Messenger application and don't click on it, just scroll to it. Click Menu > Delete and remove the application.
Now, do a reboot: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download/install the Messenger application again.
After installation and possibly another reboot, check your Instant Messaging Folder, or Downloads folder for the application.
If needed, you can restore your contacts from the BBM v.5 application or from the Desktop Manager > Backup/Restore > Advanced.
Now, see if you can delete that contact.

Deleted BBM contacts keep re-appearing

Hi! I have 8520/5.0.0.1036 and I recently upgraded my bbm to ver 7.0.1.23. I am from the Philippines and for some strange reason my Display Picture does not update, and the contacts that I deleted keep on re-appearing. And contacts I moved from 'category A' to 'category B' moved back right before my eyes. Please help! Thanks a lot!

If I delete my blackberry ID and create a new one with the same email will I still be able to get my old bbm contacts?

Hi so I forgot my bbid password and answer to security question so Im stuck now..please RIM really this is poor that you dont have a sytem to reset it without those two things I see hundreds of posts all over google with people with this problem so if there is a way let me know but as you can see in the subject that's my question if it's not possible to reset it without security queston answer

It is my understanding that if you delete the account per the instructions below, you will be able recreate, but you will NOT have access to the prior BBM contacts.

You have to remember either the BlackBerryID password, or the secret question answer. Without either, you're stuck.
Your choices are:
--Use another email account to create an entirely new BlackBerryID (with which you will lose access to any purchased apps using the "forgotten" first BlackBerryID, or
--Find the initial email you were sent to confirm the initial BlackBerryID, and in it is a link to click to cancel and delete the account. Click on that, delete the account and then you can use that same email to create an entirely new account.

Welcome to the forums.
While you are viewing your BlackBerry Messenger contacts hold your finger on the one you want to delete and a side menu will pop up on the right, at the bottom of the menu you will see a trash can, select this to delete the contact.

Help Me Please!!! updated to 5.0 software and now My phone will not accept any emails at all AND deleted my BBM contacts..

it was backed up on my computer
its not restoring the BBM contacts
emails are not being recieved
i have uninstalled, battery pulled, reinstalled and drove my provider insane

1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.
2. Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:

BBM version 6.1.0.49 - my bbm contacts cant see my Dp when i change it (Bold 9900 )

I just bought my blackberry a few days go and I can’t see the display image of BBM contacts and they also cant see mine.
The only time I could see their display image is when they change it.
I tried changing my and they still can’t see it.
I have tried the following
1.       Updated OS to version 7.0.0 bundle 2406
2.       Updated BBM to v6.1.0.49
3.       Registered by BBM via the HRT
Go to Options
Select the Advance Options
Select Host Routing Table
Choose the “BOLD” point
Press your BB menu
Select Register Now
Then it would be showing some message, “Your Handheld registered with the wireless network..”
Restart your BlackBerry devices.
4.       Rebooted & Restarted after each update
5.       Removed the battery and restarted
6. Used Desktop manager to delete and reinstall BBM
7. Downgraded BBM version from 6.1.0.49 to 6.0.032 to 6.0.0.25
8. Downgraded OS system from Version 7 latest to the version 7 before it
9. Deleted and reinstalled app world
10. in fact i have done everything i can possibly think of and still have the same problem and result
At first I thought this would be ok after adding several BBM contacts, but I have added up to 10 contacts today and still cant see their display image and they too cant see mine.
I would really appreciate assistance on this.

Problems with a specific BBM contact

Hi
I need help with a problem that I'm having with my BB, I got a my bbm contact and when Im trying to send her a message it won't go thru , I mean, it doesn't show any X red or D for deliver or R, I only got a check symbol, this happen very often, I tried reset the device, I tried to take the battery out and wait for a couple of second and I have also tried to delete the contact and added it again. I don't know what else to do ....
If somebody know how to fix the problem please comment,

Getting a check mark when sending a BBM™ message, indicates that your BlackBerry® smartphone has successfully sent the message. You will not receive a D until the receiving BlackBerry® smartphone confirms delivery of the message. Have you confirmed with your contact, by other means, that her BBM™ is working?

One specific bbm contact not recieving messages

I have this one contact that I'm not getting any messages from, yet they can read mine. I've deleted the contact, restarted my phone and closed all existing chats. This has happened once before, and fixed itself after 24 hours.
Can anyone help? I have a Blackberry Curve 3G 9300

update2: I tried an AT&T sim card in my phone and bbm worked fine with her phone. pin messages. everything. then i put my sim back in and it went back to not working with her phone.
so I thought the problem might be with my sim card, so I got a new one from vodafone. still the same issue.
might try having her switch sims with someone to see if I can isolate the problem more

Over 1100+ BBM Contacts PIN Missing when upgrading from 9780 to Z10

Please help, I've lost over 1100 BBM Contacts, when upgrading using the Blackberry User ID, and when I reload them on my old 9780, it's not there anymore, these contacts are so important, I collected them for sales for over a year's period, very market specific and high net worth individuals which are very hard to come by.
now I only got 75 contacts on my Z10
Chronologies
At the start, there was 12 categories consisting each 100 contacts on my 9780.
First I signed in with my blackberry id on my new Z10 and transferring data from the 9780 using Blackberry Link.
and then it doesnt work, there's only 75 contacts on my z10 (I've used a dakota with the blackberry id before which has BBM 7 installed, and then switched to iPhone when the Dakota was missing, I'm guessing the 75 contacts is from when I used the Dakota)
and then I wipe out my Z10 with factory reset, I installed BBM 7 on my 9780 in the hope to restore my contacts when it auto updates my blackberry ID.
again I login with BB ID to my Z10, still got 75 contacts on my Z10, I wipe it clean again.
then I decided I wanted to revert to an older version of BBM and use local backup on my 9780, so I deleted my BBM 7 from my 9780... and reinstalled it from the Blackberry World...
And then there was no contacts on my 9780 except for the 75 contacts.
Is there any way I can restore my 1100 BBM Contacts? I've always set back up remotely when using my 9780 with BBM 6.2

Deleting multiple contacts on Blackberry 8700v

Hi there, I have just taken over my mates Blackberry and want to delete his contacts before adding mine from Outlook. As he has over 1200 contacts, deleting them one at a time is very time consuming and there must be a shortcut.
Can someone help please? I have looked all over the internet but cannot find any help on this issue.

Hi there samrafamily, you can indeed get your old BBM contacts back if you simply reinstall BBM.
To ensure you get your icon back, go to Options > Applications, find BBM in the list of applications, then delete it (press BB Menu > Delete), then simply redownload it from http://blackberry.com/bbm.

Lost BBM contacts

I had to replace the hard drive in my computer, so after doing so I downloaded the Desktop Manager again and proceeded to back up my 9800. After doing so, my BBM contacts are gone. Retry restoring BBM only, nothing.
I have an old back up from 2 years ago on an old computer, and it gave me that list, but I'm unable to retrieve my recent back up.
Is it gone? Why would the Desktop Manager delete info instead of backing it up?

Desktop Manager shouldn't delete ur BBM contacts, dnt knw why it happened...have u taken the backup of ur BBM else where...???like there is an option in BBM only to backup contacts...

A BBM contact was still listed, but I am no longer in his/her contact?

One of my BBM Contact was still listed, but when I was trying to chat with him/her I got error message, "You are no longer on John's contact".
As long as I know, if someone delete you from BBM contact he/she won't appear on your list as well.
What are the possible scenarios of what had happened?

It could be one of many reasons. Remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it. Look once again to see if the contact is still there after that.

Restoring BBM Contact Remotely Failed

Hi, I'm blackberry 9300 user, I'm from Inonesian, I've never upgraded before the Operating System of my curve 9300, and the operating system was nuked (stuck while booting) after updating my blackberry application world and bbm version 7. Then I reinstall the operating system 5 to 6 version. After that, I'm forgot that my BBM contact and Phonebook it must be deleted after re-install the OS. than I want to restored all. For bbm contacts, previously I've ever backed up remotely through email, but when I progress restoring, email notifications are received, but did not want to recovery. then what's the solution? because the verification email is not detected by my handheld. I try to send verification email again and again. but it's still not detected by my handheld.

To clarify were you using BBM 7 previously? If yes, then the BBM contacts are backed up using your BlackBerry ID, to restore your BBM contacts install BBM 7 and the contacts would restored using the BlackBerry ID.
